As most Miami places come and go, it's quite sad to see businesses not last longer than a year. This is a new dessert spot in Midtown and they have such a great marketing campaign but their sweet treat fell short. I love anything banana flavor and I understand the concept of a healthier alternative to ice cream. The way their drinks and sundaes did not give what they were hoping for. It lacked flavor and they use toppings to hopefully make up for it. If the base isn't strong then everything else doesn't matter. We ordered the banana latte and banana matcha. Both needed help. The flavor was extremely subtle. I had to ask for more banana syrup. Coffee tasted burnt and not the dark roast kind of good. It is quite pricey for what it is. l'll have to try it again when I'm in the area. read more

It's been a while, I've been busy with work and school. Sorry Yelp, but I'm finally back with another review! I was walking around Midtown when a new sign and music coming from the store's direction caught my attention. As we near, LO AND BEHOLD, it's Banana Daddy. It reminded me of the Museum of Ice Cream, aesthetic and vibe wise. Excitedly, we went inside and learned that the store has only been open for about a month. So, it was new to town! We love anything banana, so we were super eager to try. We had some samples and ummm...surprisingly enough, we were not impressed, but that was just the "base". So, maybe when dressed up, it'll be better. I was a bit disappointed, the texture wasn't what I was hoping for, the flavor was very subtle and barely had any banana taste to it, for both the coffee, matcha, and the sundae. I was really hoping to like it, but I can't say I did. Maybe, I'll give it another go another day, but it's definitely not something I'll be craving. I thought the idea behind this dessert place was so fun! I love the branding and the design of the interior, and had a hard time picking from their menu! Ultimately we decided to try the Gimme S'more sundae, it is was delicious! I loved the toasted marshmallow topping, and the graham cracker topping was amazing! I thought the ratio of the soft serve to toppings was on point too. They have a lot of different sundaes or DIY options, and lots of fun merch! While I am not sure I would make this a regular spot, I loved trying it after seeing it on Instagram and think it was such a fun experience that I would recommend to everyone who like banana flavors or just want to try something fun and new! Great atmosphere! there are bananas everywhere and its decorated so cute! there is even banana daddy merch to purchase! i was greeted by one of the owners and he is so sweet. I ordered one of their coffees made with coconut milk and banana. It was very tasty. The star of the show was their ooey gooey cake. It's like a moist butter cream cake with a crisp crust on the bottom. It's sooo good. they use the best cleanest ingredients here. I obviously want to go back and try their soft serve. You're making me bananas! The best non dairy soft serve!!! The chocolate is so chocolaty and in the big banana flavor the banana isn't too overpowering. The s'mores Sunday was incredible. So yummy and hard to believe it's all dairy free! As someone who is severe lactose intolerant this place is a game changer. It's the place to go for someone who is trying to be healthier or just enjoys bananas. Lots of interesting flavors and toppings too. The coffees also looked awesome but I went at night so didn't get one. Will definitely have to the the banana cold brew at some point. The new Banana Daddy soft serve spot is viral for a reason! From the decor to the desserts, everything is super cute and eye-catching. The merch right when you walk in--bags, stickers, hats--immediately grabbed my attention. I love that they're dog-friendly, especially in such a busy, walkable area. There are plenty of tables both outside and inside. I went on a Sunday around 8 PM, and it was busy but still comfortable to sit and enjoy. I ordered the medium vanilla protein s'mores. It was delicious and pretty big--definitely shareable for two people. The banana flavor wasn't overpowering, just the right balance. The fluffy s'mores topping with chocolate chips and graham cracker crumbles made it such a fun treat. Bonus points for being dairy-free and a bit healthier than traditional ice cream. I also tried the brownie, you must order one. I can eat 10 of those. The marketing and design really sold me--especially the bathrooms, which were my favorite part design-wise. Tried banana daddy for their grand opening yesterday and was instantly obsessed. From the branding, to their service, to the merch and obviously the Sta of the show -- the soft serve, it's all extremely thought out and made to perfection. I tried the BBL soft serve and ordered their carrot cake and banana bread pastries and really couldn't get enough... so good! I finally got to try their banana soft serve ice cream. I love that it's dairy and gluten free. I ordered the Vanilla protein so it would have filling after my gym workout. From the baked goods I order the carrot cake which was also gluten free. I enjoyed the ice cream in store without added toppings. I took the cake to go and enjoyed every bit of it at home over two days. The staff and store are great! Ordering was easy and the staff were friendly. Great spot where you get more than good bites, but make beautiful connections while waiting in line. I had the ooey gooey which was soooooo goody. The he's salty protein shake was so good that it didn't make it home. lol! The tomato and spinach quiche was a nice bite and the banana bread was like a bougie version of your regular simple (yet delicious) version. There's some sort of spice that throws it off for me but it was still good, but I wouldn't get it again because I prefer the original version better. Banana Daddy in Midtown Miami makes their soft serve from bananas (no dairy, no added sugar) and somehow it's still insanely creamy and actually so good. I usually have to avoid ice cream because it makes me feel sick, but this didn't at all. They have protein options, really fun flavors, and the toppings are amazing. Looks like this may be the first yelp review. We went on a Saturday day after their grand opening. They had a girl handing out free brownies outside. When we walked in we were greeted by one of the managers/owners who was very nice and explained about the concept. The inside is much smaller than what was there previously for patrons but this means more kitchen room so no wait for anything in that regard. Very clean and detailed interior. My friend got a cup and I got a sundae. The main ingredients are listed however the base is up to you. This wasn't initially explained, however I was given a brand new sundae subsequently with my choice of base (chocolate) which was incredibly delicious. Very nice of them. Highly recommend. read more
