I really like the brand, but this store in particular has an outstanding staff! They know the merchandise and are proactive in helping you from start to finish (if you want help). When they saw that my husband and I didn't have much time, they did all the leg work finding what we needed as he tried things on, and getting some things ordered for us so that everything was ready by the time we checked out. This Banana Republic has great customer service and a fairly large collection. I'm not positive, but I think they are the only one in the St. Louis area that's not an outlet store. BR has good customer service and a great selection. They offer a nice mix of casual and business-y clothes. It's especially great when they have sales, which is frequently. I would jump on the sales if you need to add some new items to your wardrobe. This is also a great place to get gifts for Men. You can easily find a dress shirt from here that your boyfriend/friend/Dad/stranger can wear. They have a great mix of traditional and more trendy patterns. I recommend checking this out. A lot of people go here for business casual clothes or more formal wear but they also have great T-shirts! I rarely buy anything for full price here because they have sales so frequently. Disclaimer: This following story is somewhat embarrassing, but I was really impressed...so I yelped! I walked into Banana today because I was at the Galleria needing to pick up some fortifications from Sephora. The extra 25% off already-reduced items sign kinda rolled me in. I saw a dress. I fell in love with it. I mean it. I really really fell in love with it. I haven't had those kind of feelings since last week...when I bought my last purse. There were several sizes. None of which were currently mine. I grabbed the closest one and prayed to the shopping god...you know, Capitalism...that my chest could fit in that strapless slinky number. Yeah...no. Not by a long shot. I kinda pouted secretly in the dressing room. Wondered if there was something called Spanx for the Chest, was going to send out a mass text, but couldn't get service in the dressing room. Figures. I walked back out and put it back on the rack. Tried to do some displacement exercises in the mens' section. Failed. Did a U-Turn, grabbed it, and went up to a guy associate. "Hi. I love this dress. But it's not my size. Can you see if any other stores have it in my size?" He raised his eyebrows like I had asked the stupidest of questions. "Of course." Not only did he find that dress for me, he called the store to ask them to hold it for me. And while he was doing that, the other associate leaned over and heavily hinted that there was to be a surprise sale sometime this week...no details or anything...but heads up...you might want to know...kind of deal. Yes, for two seconds, I was one of the cool kids on the playground. So I'm going to get this dress. Because of the customer service at Banana. Never mind that there was no rack to hang your cast-offs in the dressing area. Never mind that check-out is usually batsh!t long. Never mind that they never have half the stuff that other Bananas do. I LOVE banana. Some of my favorite work pieces are from here. It is pricey but they have good sales and the clothes last forever. However, I found this particular store doesn't have the same selection as other stores. The accessories are really skimpy and the sale rack is emaciated in comparison to its other BR counterparts. It doesn't necessarily stop me from popping in, but I wish they would expand! read more

As many others have commented, this a great store for stylish work clothes. I've been to BRs with better inventory, but this store carries a fair amount of clothing But like many other stores at the Galleria, your experience will depend on when you go. If you're there during peak hours, it's not going to be pleasant. Weekday evenings are quiet and make for better stock and a more pleasant shopping environment. read more

I'm a fan of Banana Republic in general. If you care about how you dress AND want items of quality, it's a good place to shop. The one at the Galleria is large, but I haven't had as good of luck getting items on sale there as at other stores, namely Chesterfield Mall when Banana was still there. I like SOME of the styles a lot, and some are kinda boring for me. I do like the color palettes - khaki beige, outback greens, light yellows, muted pinks (if any at all), black, white. Getting their credit card earns you $10 rewards, and you also get discounts and coupons for them, The Gap, and Old Navy. read more

I go here for suits and other nice things to wear for work. Their clothes have good quality. You get what you pay for. I like their basic tee's. Other than that, I don't like the snooty attitude of their salespeople. read more

I love the styles and higher quality Banana offers. If I had the money, I would own just about everything they carry. I know the prices can be a shock sometimes, but I've come to realize the quality in my clothes is better than the quantity. I also frequent less expensive clothing stores, but I almost always have threads that come loose, buttons that fall off, the shape and feel totally change with one wash. This is not so with clothes from BR. The fit is always right, nothing malfunctions, and since the style is classic I never feel like a trendy teenager wearing something from last season (OH! How dare you!). I always receive compliments when I'm wearing something from here- even from my friends who say they hate preppy clothes and would probably never walk through the BR doors on their own. ;) read more
