Obviously his small minded opinion is beyond a court of law, Beware!!! Your entering a goldfish bowl area here... DO NOT COMPLAIN.... To many young immature self conceited teens work here. Her sister then entered the property i was staying at and tried to stab me whilst I was asleep, I was lucky to wake up and suffered injury as I caught the knife as it was thrust down towards my neck, she is awaiting sentencing. They've recently extended their outdoor seating area in time for the summer which will be good for when the sun eventually comes out. We booked a table for lunch as there was 12 of us and no-one was disappointed with neither food nor service, it was pretty quiet though. They don't play any music so it's a good pub for a catch up. Plenty of parking available.

Inside the pub is plit into two sides each with little spaces so although the pub is big it feels really cosy. When the cold really sets in they light fires which is amazing (if you can get a table near it!) The style is traditional and it is kept in a really good state. There is plenty of parking at the back of the pub and a large outside area with heaters (for the smokers :o) ). The only bad experince I have had there was with a friend who was on a diet, she asked for a ceaser salad without ceaser dressing and parmesan and was told it would be best if she ordered something else!!! which I though was disgusting! However the food is lovely and in all my time of going there that was my only bad experience! One thing to note, if your paying by card you have to open a tab to buy food and drinks as you can't buy food from the bar or drinks from the food order point which can be a bit of a pain!

It is also great because you can book which means unlike other carvery's you don't have to wait an hour in the bar area to get served on a Sunday. The price on Sunday is £8.90. This is one serving of meat but unlimited veg and other items. In with the other items are sausages wrapped in bacon. So if like my partner you can eat loads after one dinner you can get another and use the sausages wrapped in bacon as your meat! Desserts are not fantastic but are good as are the Irish coffee's! Yet another good olde English Pub…read more This pub is just down the road from my grandma's house, so I have taken her here a couple of times. The food is A-OK, and good value. My grandma always seems to go for the fish and chips which is huuuuge and comes with mushy peas. Last weekend I had the 'sizzling salmon' from the specials and it was gorgeous - served on a pile of red peppers and caramelised onion with huge potato wedges and salad. The best things about this pub, are the friendly staff and the views of the sea/boats out of the window. I was also impressed that my round of drinks for four people cost less than a tenner!! I've never tried the deserts as grandma always wants to make us some kind of sweet-thing before we head home... this time I was so full, I couldn't even eat grandma's waffles! It must've been good!
