I had the same hairdresser for like 20 years. Never had to change. She was amazing but she moved to Florida AND she doesn't work here...so I'll move on. Your hair is definitely an important part of your appearance (unless like my husband you're bald). After 20 years I was stressed. I tried someone in the same salon but she was slow. I am a busy lady. I can't spend 4 hours in the salon. I tried someone else and she didn't do enough color and I didn't like the cut. As a Yelper I proceeded to Yelp. I found this Salon in my home town. Perfect! Good reviews AND convenient! Where do I start? Do I tell you how cute and clean the shop was? Should I tell you that Nicole made me feel welcome and listened intently to what I was looking for? Choosing a hair salon and stylist is a stressful thing... many of them charge way too much, and when you end up somewhere cheap, the results are often times embarrassingly obvious. NOT HERE! I stumbled across this place through the recommendation of a friend and I could not be more pleased! Nicole did a fabulous job cutting and styling my hair. She was really easy to talk to and she did a beautiful job. My hair has been pretty boring in the past and she recommended a little bit of layering which came out amazing. The salon itself is beautifully decorated- a Pinterest paradise! There's only 3 salon chairs, so you get the personal touch as opposed to the chain feeling of many other salons. I'm obsessed with this salon. Small local business in Millis with local staff. And they're great. It feels like having a few mimosas with friends! You feel right at home! Except you walk out with an amazing cut/color etc. I've had many keratins in the past - probably 7, and I've never had one as good as the one Alicia did for me this weekend. Alicia is so great, she goes above and beyond to give you what you want and make you feel like you're among friends. I won't be going anywhere else unless I move away. When I moved 'out of the city' to a farm in Millis--I was dreading how far I would have to drive to find a decent hair salon. In act of sheer desperation and with low expectations, I did a Google search and realized there was a brand new salon right on Main Street in Millis---Bandeaux Boutique Salon. The website was cute and hip and I thought, oh what the heck. Let me just say THIS WAS THE BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE FOR MY HAIR....EVER! Nicole is just the best, I really feel like she can diagnose any issue you have with your hair and make you look wonderful. I came in with thin, short hair and she made me feel cute even when I was growing out a bad cut. I have also had the pleasure of getting Great Lengths extensions from Nicole for some special events that were coming up, and let me just say--the transformation was just mind blowing. I went in with a thin, mousy chin length bob and came out with cascading, long, hair that would make Beyonce jealous. I am a very skeptical person and was worried that it wouldn't look quite right, but Nicole's patience and meticulousness is unmatched and it looked phenomenal. Nicole has an eye for style and design, as evidenced by all the amazing furniture that she's refurbished in her modern and cozy salon. She gives great advice about all things beauty and is incredibly down to earth. This has been the best year my hair has ever had, thanks entirely to her. I couldn't recommend this salon more strongly, other pluses include: getting Nicole's full attention the entire time you are at the salon-- you don't get tossed under a dryer with a magazine while she works on other clients and she'll always offer you a cup of coffee or glass of wine to make your experience all the more pleasant. I am so excited I found this place. I have salon-hopped for most of my adult life and endured countless horrendous cuts and color jobs. My hair gets REALLY brassy when colored and I much prefer more ashy tones. I've only been happy with my hair color once in the past 18 years, no exaggeration. Well, that is all in the past now. I had heard about Bandeaux from a few fellow Millis moms and had been meaning to make an appt. I finally realized on a Wednesday afternoon that I had a chunk of time on Thursday morning and decided to try to get an appt. I was thrilled that I could easily get an appt for Thurs AM through their online booking system, which was super convenient. Let me just tell you...this place is so nice. It has a really nice boutique feel and I especially loved that I was the only person in there. It was my own private stylist session...so relaxing. Nicole, the owner/stylist is very friendly, down to earth and I could tell from the minute we started talking that she knows her stuff. She is a really great listener and never tried to convince me to deviate from what I was asking for. Even though I had heard great things about her, I wasn't 100% confident that I'd get the color I wanted, mainly because of my long history of bad color experiences. I know my hair is super stubborn to color the way I want. But I'm THRILLED to say that FINALLY(!!!) I found someone who knows what she's doing. To say I love my hair would be the understatement of the century. It's gorgeous. She was able to cover my hated grays while also giving me a nice medium ashy brown color. It's absolutely perfect. Every time I look in the mirror, I am so happy. And amazingly, my hair is so much silkier/smoother than before I went there. She includes a complimentary Olaplex treatment for new clients which I really think made the difference in the condition of my hair. My cut is also fantastic. I seriously couldn't be happier. One other thing...as I went to pay, I sort of assumed it would be crazy expensive since she's clearly really good at what she does and the place is just so upscale and nice. It was the most reasonably priced cut/color/blow dry I've ever had. When she told me the total, I actually said "really?? Are you sure you rang that up right?" This place is absolutely the best kept secret of Millis. Part of me hates to spread the word because I'm worried it will be hard to get an appt in the future, but then again, Nicole deserves the business. She's absolutely fantastic. Don't waste your time at those overcrowded, overpriced salons in the Millis/Medway area with stylists who haven't kept up with the times. Bandeaux is in a whole different league.
