I love to try taco places & El Taquero comer is one of my absolute favorite taco restaurants. The meat is cooked and seasoned perfectly. They have an extensive menu, which is nice. This occasion we tried the asada & al pastor tacos & we ordered a side of fries. The aguas frescas are also great! They served our food really fast even though the restaurant was packed, which is always a plus. The restaurant is really small, but they were expanding to the suite next door. Overall, GREAT food. First time trying this place out. Being from New Mexico it's a rare occasion when I get to have some legit good Mexican food. As I've explained to many of the locals there's a huge difference between New Mexico and Mexican food. I figured while I was in town visiting family for the holidays I'd check it out. Walking in I was surprised to see a full salsa bar that you can help yourself to a wide variety of salsas to choose from. We ordered a quesadilla, and some tacos. I started with the quesadilla. Boy do I love a good quesadilla! It was a love at first bite! The cheese was just oh so right. It was heaven between two tortillas. I quickly moved in on the tacos. I added some of the cilantro, green salsa, lime, and onions. The salsa was a little spicy but I savored every bite! It was a quite a delight! I gotta hand it to these guys, they make some great food! I'm not sure how many stars to put for this. But we ordered the Al pastor taco plate for dinner through Uber Eats. The next morning I started vomiting and having diarrhea. I'm on my second day of vomitting and being in the bathroom all day, and it's the worst. Even had to go to urgent care to get some stomach bug medicine. Stopped by here while traveling from California to Texas. I fell in love with the food! I cannot wait to go back and try again! The staff was very friendly and helpful too! The only downside was that because they are setting up the place ( it appears to be new) the sitting area inside ( benches ) were not secure therefore the bench collapsed forward from the wall - this caused for me to almost fall with my 5 year old. So be aware they might be unstable and you might take a fall which as a business is a huge liability! Aside from that... food was amazing and so was staff. - store should be a bit safer before opening some areas to public. read more

Tried El Taquero Comer for the first time this past week and was pleasantly surprised with their food and service! I was craving a burrito and wanted to try their establishment but unfortunately DoorDash was showing they could not deliver until 4pm. I called in to double check the time since google showed their shop was currently open so I thought that's when they started accepting delivery orders. The man I spoke with in the phone was very friendly when I told him I was trying to order through door dash, he actually said he would open it up on their end to accept orders! I was so surprised he was kind enough to do that. Half hour later I was able to place my order for delivery. I was happy to be able to try their food because everything looked so good in the photos I saw. I ordered the supreme burrito and asada fries. My husband got their quesadilla. Honestly everything was so delicious! I had been looking for a good Mexican establishment in the area with good, filling burritos. Well I found exactly what I was looking for with El Taquero Comer! I highly recommend them if you're craving a good burrito and asada fries! Their serving portions are good for sharing too. Or enough for maybe two meals. This place makes my top 3 in El Paso taco spots. Upon walking in, you are immediately hit with the smell of grilling steak like a backyard bbq. Great selection of tacos with every kind being a delicious. Tender carne asada, crispy tripas, flavorful chicken, juicy barbacoa. This place is right around the corner from my house and I hadn't eaten there yet. After a lot of hype from people, we decided to try it. Family friendly, the place was roomy, had a small salsa bar in the middle. We asked the staff for some recommendations, and based on that we settled for an al pastor taco, a chicken taco, a chorizo taco and a deshebrada taco, along with some asada fries with chicken. All the tacos except for the deshebrada tacos were absolutely delicious. The salsas were great! The fries were ok, nothing special, won't get them again. My only complaint is that it took really long to get our food and it was not that busy. Will go back for the tacos, though. read more

I heard really good things about this place, from my understanding. They started from a food truck. First time here Ambience/cleanliness 0/10 not crazy busy but simple decor inside. Mexican music playing. Pretty average. Staff was attentive on cleaning tables/taking trash out. No paper towels in the men's restroom. I saw a kitchen staff member come out of the restroom later on... there wasn't any paper towels. Whipping is hands on his pants... super un sanitary. ‍Service- 0/10 when I came in there was just one person ordering in front of me and a couple sitting at a table with a number. Super long wait time, the family who ordered before me family of three. Got there food and ate it and left before I was brought my food...... Ok so I finally when to complain and they said there system went down and have not even started making my food. 4 ppl after me came and got served. They gave me a refund and the food but super crazy I had to go up there and ask. They didn't even know if it was for here or to go. I have the number they gave me. Just super unorganized. System goes down maybe go check on who ordered and who is sitting down? Food- QUESO 3/10 - a little watery, just me personally. I like it to be little thicker. Different taste than the usual which isn't bad. Decent. Half the chip basket I was given had all broken chips. The cashier changed them out for whole chips. They brought me the food to go still . Pure shit show, so tired of restaurants and their half assed delivery. Placed an order online, went to pick up my order. Get home wife tastes her food and it has a nasty bitter taste to it. I call the restaurant several times, no answer. Drove back to their location told the cashier the issue with my order, she says, I'm so so sorry let me remake that for you. I sit to wait for my order, next the cook comes out and attempts to tell me that deshebrada should taste off and bitter, I said Nooooo I've had deshebrada plenty of times it's not supposed to taste disgusting, he said ok I'll remake your order, I said can you also remake my burrito, because by now it'll be nasty, trusting everything will be fine, I take my order and don't check it, I get home and my wife opens her order, wow, what an Ahole petty revenge thing to do, nachos should come with cheese shouldn't they?
