First, this camp ground has a "camp cat" named Spike, who enjoyed time with us on our camping trip exploring the Oregon coast. I included a picture of Spike, he created a lasting memory for my family! The campground was well maintained and sites cleaned daily. They even provide a daily trash pickup from your site in the mornings which we appreciated. The sites aren't huge but have trees and bushes and privacy screens between, way better than those grass lots that shove you side by side. The staff are amazing - from check-in, to the daily rounds we always had staff smiling and offering to help. I was so impressed by their customer service. I highly recommend if you're looking for a nice quiet camp site! Amenities include pool (which we did not use), small park for kids (could use a nice cleaning but my son loved it), game room, and dog park. read more

First off ... We've been staying at KOA cabins for years..... And this KOA was just Okay.....Made reservations online Paid in full we thought.... Until check in ..... Surprised that at this location small pets were $30 extra??? No refund???? Needless to say won't be staying here again! Don't mind paying a deposit if my pet made a mess.... It doesn't bother me for some it is a good drive to reach the ocean. Approximately 17 miles to Bandon 9 miles to Port Orford. Some tent sites are close together. The good outweighs the bad. Clean campground with very friendly & helpful staff. Nice small unheated pool for the kids (too cold for adults) and hot tub. Good amenities for the kids - basketball, teatherball and gravel roads for bike riding. $5 to wash & dry a load of laundry, clean bathrooms and a small convenience store with basic camping amenities. Close to beaches, rivers and Bandon (go to Bandon Fish Market for the BEST fish & chips ever!). Overall it was a good stay. My only complaint would be the loud road noise. read more

Joke of America more like it. Dirt roads with gravel sites and not very level in addition to being very cramped. Trees and brush were overgrown and needed trimming. The picnic table was old and worn out and due to the cramped sites was sitting next to neighbors sewage dump out, had to be careful not to trip over hose. Just yuck! One large site toward the rear was used for their junk trailer, just kept piling it up instead of cleaning it out. Never used the shower or restrooms as we are self contained. But other comments heard were that they were dirty and shower was luck warm at best. The Wi-Fi and cable TV were not working which really wasn't a huge deal since we only stayed 1 night that was enough for us! We will happily drive an extra hour or so for better facilities read more

Koa's have so many camping options. RV, Cabins or tents you can camp on your comfort level and I have become quite a fan of their brand. We had some company unexpectedly decide to join us, and it was so simple to add them to our reservation. The hosts Delivered more firewood right to camp. Our campsite was very spacious we easily fit 5 adults and 2 children into our site cars and tents included with room to stretch out. The playground was a great area for the littles with a play place, tetherball, and horseshoe pit. They have a Snack booth and a general store. Heated pool and hot tub. Restrooms were clean. Great spot for exploring the southern coast. read more

Well maintained KOA, quiet if you are away from hiway 101. We were lucky to get the farthest and most private spot. Lots of trees and lower brush, also wooden privacy barriers where there were no low bushes. Sites are spaced nicely. Good location to access beautiful beaches. Be aware of power surges, our surge protector reported fluctuations, anyway, could have been site specific. It's recommended to have a good surge protector. read more

We have been traveling for 3 weeks using KOA's This one was a beautiful. Easy checkin, friendly staff, nice and shady. The only complaint is that the Site to the right of us has their sewer connection in front of our RV door. If we left our screen door open, that's what you see. We saw this KOA in the "Mile-by-Mile" guide we picked up at a gas station. I called and the very nice woman booked us a spot over the phone. Our camp spot was in a beautifully secluded area. Super friendly, new owners! Nice, clean bathrooms that look recently remodeled. Large play area and fun things to do inside as well to keep kids entertained. About $5 to wash and dry a load of laundry but dryers were hot so it finished faster than normal. The pool was closed because it was too cold. It is off the main road but if you're tucked back in the property it isn't too noticeable because of all the trees. I would stay here again if we pass thru this way. read more

Firat day, we got there, an employee was extremely rude after I explained to him we were confused on the campsite situation. We had asked for a bigger campsite due to the amount of people we had and we had received to be the smallest campsite it seemed. Even after moving campsites, we had 2 families crammed in a corner because of how small the campsites were. Personally, I will never return. read more

*** June 2015 *** New owners have only been here for 6 months. The park is clean, the owners are friendly, the small on site market has most of what you might need. There is another larger grocery store about 10-15 minutes away. The showers are inside the main bathroom but still private. The restrooms and showers are clean. We stayed in a Kabin, no kitchen or bathroom but it was clean and in good shape. You are close to your neighbors but you still have privacy. They provide an electric heater, which warms the cabin well. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I like more privacy. However, if you're used to RV style parks, this one is great. It's shady, woodsy, birds everywhere and you do feel like you're surrounded by nature. The store/front desk didn't open until 9am, which seems a little late. I would think 8am would be great, especially when they're serving coffee. They have tent, RV and Kabins. They have a nice playground, basketball court and fenced dog park. There is a nice Rec Room with a pool table, air hockey table and juke box. There is also a laundry room. Had we stayed longer than one night, we would've taken time to play some air hockey. The owners live on site and beginning Fathers Day 2015 they will start serving the pancake breakfast. I would stay again. read more

My family was finally getting our yearly camping trip. I had planned and planned for the best place to stay while visiting the nearby game park safari. I chose koa over the nearby state park due to its heated pool and hot tub, as well as its game room and playground in close proximity to the "family deluxe" tent site I had reserved. Our first night was fairly great. Our site was comprised of a small gravel like area, and huge dirt fishbowl type shape of land, and then some posts that I assumed indicated you can't drive further than that. But no sign or indication that we could not setup our tents on the small grassy hill immediately past the posts. It was also a perfect spot FOR tents because when it rained that night, the water would go down the hill away from the tents. Into the fishbowl. The next day we first went and did some family activities and when we came back, we were greeted by a park employee who informed us that we needed to tear down our two tents and place them in that fishbowl dirt area I mentioned earlier. The one all the rain went into...yeah that one. The tents could not be in the grass area that nobody was using. By this time our kids (5 and 3 years old) had been asking for swimming pool time since we got there. We promised them after we tear down our entire camp site and reset it, we will go swimming. We got it all done, kids in swim gear, walking to pool. And it's closed. My husband goes to talk to the office and finds out that due to the rain, they have to put chemicals in the pool and it'll be out of commission all day. We know enough about pools to know that's silly and pressed the employee to make sure with a maintenance person. After all we now have sobbing children who were hoping to have fun after their day got screwed up due to resetting our campsite. We go back to Camp, undress the crying kids, who do not understand chemicals one bit. A maintenance looking guy came to our site and passively informs our 5 year old that the pool will be ready in an hour or so. No sincere apologies from anyone at this point. We did end up swimming that night. But then the next day somebody pooped in the hot tub so it of course was closed down the rest of our trip. (The part I as the stressed out parent was REALLY looking forward to). So that left the playground in close proximity to our site. It was about a 1/4 acre lot. But with a small little tykes play structure on it. And some swings that had very heavy chains. Careful not to let your kids get hit in the head or mouth by those chains. My 5 year old got nasty welt on his forehead. Not the end of the world, just be cautious if you have little ones. Overall, I felt that the family deluxe site was a rip off. We were told when we were complaining about having to reset our tent in the much smaller area, that family meant it was close to the park, and deluxe meant it has electricity. Which it did. But I feel like the title should also imply a larger site to fit a family of people, usually indicating more than one tent. If you are a person reserving for a family trip with more than one tent, or a large tent, do not make the mistake or thinking this is an extra large site. The room you do have for a tent is a bowl, and you will get wet when it rains. It's Oregon people. The Oregon campgrounds should know not to stick the tent area in a bowl! We have experienced two KOAs in our life. Both experiences were not great, although different KOAs. But this experience has convinced us not to reserve with KOA again. We will stick to our beloved state parks. read more

First off, check in was after 4pm, we arrived around 6pm coming from Dallas Oregon. Check in was quick and simple, they said, okay your spot is A1 and you paid online, here's a receipt, okay bye. We go to our camp site, park, unload, we made sure to not back up our trailer too far, thankfully they had wooden columns stick up that prevented that.. We look around, no signs of any kind indicating where we can or can not place our tents. No marking or obviousness that where our site started and ended. After all we got the Large Family Deluxe Site with Electrical hookup. So we set up our tents, did our daily activities. Tried to get a good nights sleep, however, this KOA is built next to a super busy highway called 101, on a curve so you hear loud brakes and excessive acceleration and speed. Woke up the next morning, and it had rained some that night. Thankfully we have been camping since we were born, we knew how to setup our tents. We go about our morning, day, afternoon, most of it wasted trying to find a beach entrance near this KOA, unfortunately, most of them are private entrances, or take you to the worst looking locations. So don't expect to take you family to a quick beach trip or walk. Our kids loved playing at the HUGE playground they had, which contained 90%field, with a old nearly dried out Little tykes play house. And 4 awesome swings you couldn't use if it rained at all due to the pond that appears under the swings due to drainage issues. You walk towards the restrooms/showers and you get drenched by their man made gutter system that pours water directly onto ground and pedestrians. When you finally make it to the shower or to poop, you realize the toilets are in the same room as the showers. So while someone is taking a large stinky poop, and another finally got the water to turn hot by following the directions on wall about turning it back and forth until it turns hot. So when it starts to steam up, all everyone smells now is hot steamy large stinky poop. We left again shortly after that and returned around 2pm. We're were met at our camp site by a staff member who looked very nervous. She proceeded to explain to us that we must completely tear down our campsite, and move our tents and everything. As we should not have gone past the wooden columns. I explained how that doesn't make sense, there is no room here for our tents. Based on your info, we get a 10x14 area to put all our camping gear and two tents for our family who paid for the SUPER DELUXE FAMILY SITE. She said if we want she can find another large site for us. However there would be no electricity and not near playground for kids. I asked her to explain what we paid for, she said.. I quote. "The family means it's next to the playground, and deluxe means it's an electrical hookup. Now can you please proceed to relocate your tents, I have other problems to go deal with." I was just lost for words, and told her I would try to move the tents when we returned from our family fun on our vacations. She grimaced and said, that'll be fine. Never once did I receive an apology. We did our family thing. When we came back, although I REALLY DID NOT WANT NOR DESERVE TO HAVE TO MOVE ALL MY STUFF MID TRIP! We proceeded to tear down our tents and relocate into the spot we had left. Our tents were practically touching the fire pit we now couldn't use, and our family tent was sitting directly in the middle of a fishbowl. So if it rained, we would float. After relocating everything. And having to deal with our kids being upset and sad because we had to waste more time doing something we were never told about in the first place. We finally finished and decided to go swimming in there awesome heated pool and hot tub (the reason we paid for a KOA vs state park). Got all ready, got kids all excited as they have been asking for 28 hours straight, when can we go swimming? Walked over to the pool and before my kids could see it, I was already crying. Pool closed down. I ran to office as my kids began to cry their eyes out (3 and 5 years of age). The lady inside said, oh that, yeah it rained last night, so the pool people shut it down all day while they get their chemicals in. I politely called bullshit, and explained that so far they have screwed us over on everything. No apology what so ever yet, no single sorry, even a non genuine sorry would suffice right now! She said she'll check with the pool guys but assured us it wouldn't be back u until tomorrow. We proceeded to return to our tiny camp site and change our clothes. Began to make dinner now, and 15 minutes later. A random guy walks up to MY 5 YEAR OLD. And tells my son to go to us the pool will be up and open in an hour. Shouldn't he have just walked 40 more feet to me and not my child? So we ate, we waited, and finally the pool opened up. Longer story short, we swam ALL NIGHT. Until these two teenage kids came in and basically irritated our kids until we left. read more

Shame on you KOA! This place...where do I begin? I was hopeful from the start but there are some weird power tripping LIARS on the long term staff. They changed the story after we paid and checked in and said we would have to pay for an extra day since we arrived early. What! I had proof of the time of pay right on my receipt but the host who checked me in looked me right in the face and lied. I wish I could tell you all how much this hurt my feelings and infuriated my sense of justice. We packed up and left. Do yourself a favor and stay at Cape Blanco or Bullards....both of them are near the beach and no road noise. This KOA deserves to be put out of business for their dishonesty and lack of integrity. Word of mouth can make or break a business and I've told many traveler friends the whole story. LIARS...do not trust them! read more

Wow! We were incredibly impressed with this KOA! Heated pool and hot tub, remodeled showers that are fantastic, carnival stand to purchase crazy food for kiddos, playground, tetherball, basketball, air hockey, beautiful dog walk and dog playground. The sites are very nice sized and secluded with beautiful trees and shade. Everything was spotless clean and felt very safe for our family during COVID. My full grown daughter and I spent a week here. We had a fantastic time. The pool and Hot tub was so relaxing. The Pancake breakfast was not just pancakes, you could get anything and as much on a plate as you want. Waffles, Eggs, Bacon, Sausage. We met Mike and Cathy the owners. Such nice and informative people. Air Hockey, and Pool table. Washer and dryer. The tall tree's danced with the wind. Beautiful. We had a fire every night. So many places to see real close. They have a good size nice fenced in Dog Park We met a lot of cool dogs (and their owners there) they make sure there is fresh water, and Dogs have plenty of running space, There is a couple benches you can relax, as your dogs socialize with their new friends. I was really hoping to give it more. We stayed here as a site was available on a summer weekend. The weather was beautiful. The campsite was disappointing. The trailer/RV sites are tight. There's just enough space for a truck and trailer and the bench they provide. The store is super expensive. A $3 bottle of lighter fluid is $10. The dirt is a fine powder so you better bring rugs or wipes. There's only a view of your neighbors. We were one row in and didn't hear the road so ok. The "ice cream social" isn't included in the price and one small cone was $3. If they want to call it a fundraiser great but every social we've been to is included in the price. If you are looking for somewhere to relax this is not the place. If you are looking for somewhere to park and drive around to enjoy the area this will work. But lock your stuff up. We were only gone a couple of hours but the tent was opened up while we were gone. read more

This is one of the best campgrounds in the world. Not only is it run by a fantastic couple, but the entirety of the staff are friendly, energetic, and extremely helpful. This place is home to an endless supply of hospitality. The grounds are beautiful, and there was even a trail and park for my dog to play in! They have many fun activities to keep everyone entertained for example; movie nights, ice cream, breakfasts, even a train to ride on! The bathrooms are extremely clean, and the showers are nice and hot (plus they keep a heater on in the morning for your shower!) The gift shop even has pokemon plushies. 10/10 will stay again. We all have to sleep and I have to sleep well. I was given the C2 parking l, very close to the entrance. Mistake. It has way too much road noise. If you don't like road noise, don't stay close to the road. Also, if you need internet just to sync your emails or to google what you are doing the next day, you won't me able to use it here. Pros: Beautiful wooded setting on the Oregon Coast. Our family campsite (A1) was surrounded by trees and bushes on 3 sides, and had an open grassy space on another side that opens to a play area. Bathrooms a bit dated but sparkling clean. Rate for a deluxe tent site (with water, electrical outlet and outdoor light) was quite reasonable. Firewood is $8 for a good sized bag, and the owner will deliver it to your campsite. Well -constructed firepits. Very lovable, pettable white kitty up front (my daughter fell in love!) Reasonably well-stocked camp store. Cons: Very close to Hwy 101. From our campsite near the front of the park, highway noise was heard on and off all night. If you're looking for quiet, request a site toward the back of the camp. The website advertised a daily pancake breakfast, which my daughter was very much looking forward to. We were told by the property manager, though, that pancake breakfasts were only on weekends until July 4, due to low occupancy in the campground. This should be advertised correctly. We found the front office to be often unattended. Overall, a fairly good camping experience. Would probably return. read more

We were on our way home from a trip and this is our last night. We needed full hookups to empty the tanks, and a laundromat. This place fit the bill and more. The owners just bought the campsite and went overboard to be sure we were well taken care of. I even got an ice cream bar, on the house, while doing the laundry. This campground was the best accident of our vacation! We had reservations at another RV park in the area and upon our arrival to that location, we immediately started looking for other options. We knew our chances were slim because it was the weekend of 4th of July and most places were packed! Cathy worked absolute magic and found us a spot for 6 nights! Everyone here is so sweet and accommodating! My son loves all of the activities such as the park, basketball hoop, swimming pool and spa, and rental bikes. So this was my first KOA camping experience. This park is well kept, clean and quite. ( almost) I stayed a few day, swam at the pool and relaxed. There are about 50 spots in the park and only about 4 spots used so I picked a spot all alone and bingo they put a family right next to me at 9pm wtf .....I just didn't understand that at all. This campground is located perfectly to explore the southern oregon coast. Reserve a spot it definitely fills up.

The setting is beautiful and the amenities are great; however, the sites are tight. How tight are they, you ask? So tight that we could barely open our slide-outs, and when we did, we couldn't open the storage bins. The hookups were solid. Most of the staff was wonderful.
