The property is just a 15-minute drive from downtown, and located off a decently busy road. But when you turn down the driveway and pass through the tree line, it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. The bay surrounds the site on basically three sides, and the views were just so stunning. We stayed in one of the cabins (a tiny house really) and loved it. It's super comfortable and modern, and the heat, hot water, kitchen appliances, etc. all worked perfectly. Even though this place is technically a campsite, you're not roughing it at all. One of our favorite parts was the little porch and fire pit alongside the cabin. They give you a starter kit with wood, kindling, and a lighter, and you can purchase more from the property store. Speaking of the store - you can text the front desk to place an order, and they'll deliver it via golf cart for no additional charge. Such a nice perk since the property is a decent size. We walked down to the beach each night to watch the sunset and couldn't get enough of it. The place was pretty quiet while we were there at the start of off season, so it was calm and peaceful, but it seemed really family friendly too. Bay Point was the highlight of our time in Coos bay, I might have to come back to this part of the world just to stay here again.

The lobby/store has useful supplies and there's a number you text any time and they will bring you stuff. The staff is friendly and efficient. We have only been there on long weekends and it is a little pricey at that time but I would say not prohibitively so. We went to Bastendorff beach, shore acres state park / cape arago loop trail / simpson beach, and John Dellenback dunes trail - all of which are really close. I also like that the property seems quiet and isolated, but you have access to multiple big stores just 10min away.

I'm not rich so I stayed but after 3 more days of this decided to cut my loses and moved on. Wide spaced sites, with hookups and picnic tables, all under wonderful trees! We felt so lucky to have wound up here for a few nights...We found a gem that we wouldn't have otherwise known about! Belinda and Brian have built a tremendous place and are so clearly putting their heart into keeping it clean, tidy, and hospitable for guests. It wasn't as big as I expected, but they had all of the slot machines I enjoy playing, so I was happy with the selection. I also appreciated how clean everything was. I constantly saw employees wiping down the machines, and the ventilation system does a good job of keeping the casino from feeling overly smoky, even though smoking is allowed. On the downside, the non-smoking room still smelled like cigarette smoke, which was disappointing. The slot machines also seemed pretty tight during my visit. I wasn't impressed with the rewards program either. New members only receive $5 in free play after signing up for a player's card and spending $10 first, which seems a bit backwards. It would be nice if the free play was available immediately as a welcome incentive. Despite those drawbacks, the clean casino, great machine selection, and waterfront location made for an enjoyable visit.

The first thing I look for in an RV park is whether or not we can squeeze our big rig into the…read moresites. Nothing else matters if we can't fit on the pad. That is definitely not a problem here, as the sites are at least 80 feet long. Having said that, Robbins Nest is not a resort, but a relatively quiet, comfortable, and safe place to stay while you're exploring Bandon. Bandon is my wife's hometown, so we are very familiar with the area, and we come back to visit every summer. I can honestly say Robbins Nest is the best big rig friendly park within 30 miles in any direction. The park is only a few minutes from Old Town Bandon, just off Highway 101, but not so close that road noise is a problem. There's plenty of room to extend slide-outs and awnings, unlike some of the other parks nearby. The electric pedestal provides a rock-steady 120 volts, water pressure is adequate, and the sewer hookup and fresh water spigot are about 15 feet apart, an important sanitary consideration. The free WiFi boasts some of the fastest speeds we've seen in our 5 years of full-timing. There are excellent photos of the park and local attractions on their website, and a very cool hi-def video showing a fly-over view of the park. The owners, Joy and Dondi are friendly and helpful, and strive to keep the park clean and well maintained. An online search will show numerous 4- and 5-star reviews, except one left recently (July 2020) by a disgruntled guest who complained about being evicted for violating the park's posted speed limit. Do not judge this park based solely on his angry testimony. It's true that upon check-in, Joy makes it a point to ask you to drive slowly in the park, but that's because she's concerned for the safety of the guests. She certainly doesn't stand on the road with a radar gun like that one sad individual seems to imply. Surely, there's more to his story than he's willing to admit. Bottom line, Robbins Nest is the best park in town. Come see for yourself.

Pros: -50 and over so NO kids! -We have a 32' 5th Wheel that fits perfectly. -Pull Through spacious sites -LEVEL SITES!! -nice area to do laundry, puzzles, read. -can buy $10 roll of quarters for laundry -clean bathrooms and showers that takes a code to get in. -dog area, but not fenced in. -friendly, professional managers on site -gave us our site number when we made reservations so we could park in it before check in. -recycle trash bins -quiet -cable -very few Rv sites -NO kids!! Cons: -there is some road noise -not really good places to walk off property -lots of weeds in grass, but they do keep it short -only one washer and dryer(which is fine for us) -about a mile or so to walk to the ocean and there is really no space to walk next to the road. We would definitely cone back again!! We were very happy with our 7 night stay here at Robbins Nest.

(No OHV allowed to be operated in the park. You must tow them out them start.)

The views can't be beat. The laundry and shower facilities are cleaned everyday by camp hosts. And, the camp hosts are SO helpful. There are NO long term RV's here. It seems that there just be a limit on how long you can stay before you might need to relate to another spot. The laundry is not over priced here. $2 to wash and $1.50 to dry. Last place it was $3 and $3. If you are looking for a in this area-this is it. It sets the bar very high.
