1st time at Bay Point, it will not be our last. We found the location to be well suited to enjoying the coast. The check in was easy, our host attendant , gave us clear instructions to our airstream. We were a bit confused the first day and evening about how to contact someone after hours. I kept getting the bot when I went on to the website. Finally when I googled Bay Point Landing General store, I found that part of the site. From then on it was a breeze to getting help. The airstream was well stocked. Dishware, glasses, utensils, cookware and cooking utensils. Linens were clean, we even had lovely doggy baskets for our pups. Complete with towels, dishes, treats, leashes and sheets to cover bed and sofa. They have activities everyday to attend. We did the happy hour the first night, it was very nice sitting looking over the water and enjoying a glass or two of wine. I was grateful for the broom that was in the airstream, sweep out the RV multiple times a day. The airstream comes with dish rags and dishes towels, but no dish soap you can purchase that at the General store. This is not glamping, as some reviews seemed to think. But it is a step above RVing in a state park. There are nice amenities and can make as many improvements as you want, but they cost. We were happy with the close proximity to the state parks, restaurants and grocery stores. We look forward to our next stay at Bay Point Landing. read more

We all booked waterfront cabins and we noticed they had slightly different layouts. One style was older and not as modern. The other style of cabins were gorgeous and well maintained. They were all stocked with nice plates, kitchen wares, and high quality bedding Pros: - service was great, you could text the main line and have items delivered to your door - purchases could be delivered to their address and was very secure at the front desk - very cute property with an indoor pool, kids room, dog wash, and laundry area Cons: - Our "waterfront" view also only had a small strip of the...eh...marsh? Not sure you get exactly what you booked. - the "beach" was was covered in seaweed and bugs. Drive out to Sunset beach (15 mins away) instead! read more

Not worth the price. It is a basic KOA with a fancy exterior. The Airstream seems to be a $100/night deal and the rest of the cost is for the location. It was right next to the bay, but if you are there when the tide is high mid day there is very little beach to enjoy. Also, what company doesn't have a phone to speak with someone? All communication had to happen over text message. The website description and email links are also not up to date. For example, they no longer allow boats because their sites are not "permitted" for it. However we had already booked an Airstream (our small boat would have fit with room to spare at the Airstream site). Instead of refunding us because their website was incorrect, they miraculously found one RV site on the other side of the property that was "permitted" for boats. We could store our boat there and it would only cost us an extra $50 per night... Inside the Airstream was not ideal either. When we get to the airstream, it smelt like cigarette smoke (not camping smoke, we like that). This is not their fault but they could have left a candle or at least acknowledged the inconvenience. The fans for ventilation or heating were crazy loud too. The cooking supplies were limited. There was no cutting board and a very small pan for cooking. Only one of the three burners consistently lit. Overall, would not recommend it because the value does not match the quality of service provided. We have spent nights at locations that are way cheaper with a much higher quality stay. However, the staff were very kind. The issue is more with the people who run and manage the place. read more

We stayed two nights in a cabin while visiting recently. It is a beautiful property, with very nice views of the bay. The cabins are newer, and have a nice modern aesthetic. We were comfortable sleeping -- the mattress and bedding were fine. The cabin had a full kitchen, including a coffee maker, though there were no coffee grounds (though there is a coffee shop down the road, and they have coffee in their main building after 8am). We did have a few minor maintenance issues, so I'm taking one star off for that (our bathroom sink drain was running slowly, and our pull out sofa was not in great shape). We would stay here again, and preferred it to a traditional hotel (I've been told hotels in Coos Bay are hit-or-miss). read more

I have been a repeat customer for years. When they first opened, I met the gentleman who owned the resort with his sister. Everything was fine until this past weekend. We have a group who camps there every year several times a year and reserve our spots in advanced in order to camp next to each other. This year the spot we RESERVED was given to someone else and we were moved away from our group. The staff did not appear to care about their mistake and refused to put me into contact with the owner, claiming they did not know who he was or able to contact him, which seems unbelievable not knowing who your boss was. We ourselves spend probably a couple thousand dollars a year camping there and our group probably spends several more thousands of dollars I am hoping that the owner will reach out to contact me so I can let him know what happened and how I was treated. It is obvious the staff does not want me to speak with him. I hope the owner will reach out to me to discuss how his staff treated a repeat customer who along with my camping friends will take our money elsewhere. Dennis read more

What a fun hidden gem! On a weekend trip through the Redwood National Park, my fiance and I decided to extend the trip for a night in Coos Bay. The local hotels were a little less than desirable, but then I scrolled across Bay Point Landing. I'm so glad I did!! The Kamp Haus was perfect for the two of us. The bed was comfy and the linens were soft. The room was clean, smelled like cedar and was dry. We took an evening walk along the water and saw deer and a family of geese. The convenience store on site is reasonably priced and the free delivery of merch to your spot is a fun concept. Its a little outside of downtown and that's the beauty, you get to enjoy the night sky with very little light pollution but can drive in to town for anything you might need. It was a really treat, I cant wait to go back! read more

We recently held our wedding and reception at Baypoint Landing and we are tremendously impressed. The staff worked extremely hard to make this easy and convenient. Their answer to every request was yes, then they figured out how to make it work. We created a very small ceremony space on the northern lawn. It was a gorgeous setting, clean, quiet and private. We rented all the tiny houses along that section. We held the reception in the Cove lounge. Beautiful venue, especially in the evening for sunset dinner. A special thank you to Will and his team - Charlotte, Nancy, Herschel, Kori and the rest. They are clearly motivated to make this a great experience for everyone. We began working with Baypoint Landing a year ago. The current rating is more reflective of the previous management team. Candidly, we had some concerns then. Many requests couldn't be met, some cabins and facilities showed wear and maintenance issues. When we first met with Will, it was a complete turnaround. Every answer was either yes, or we will see how to make that work. This rating will certainly go up with the new team Facilities were clean, dusted and very well maintained. They are in the process of upgrading everything. The overall appearance and vibe is a stark difference from before. A happy crew makes for happy guests and a pleasant stay. Take me back! I want to live here! Our stay was so wonderful and relaxing and I think I could happily stay here forever. My wife pretty much had to push me out the door, and even then I was kicking and screaming worse than my 4 year old after being told he can't have ice cream. Bay Point Landing has it all and it's clear that they've thought about it all when they set out to build this place. From well appointed RV sites to tiny homes, airstreams and full container conversions, there are suitable accommodations for everyone. They have an indoor heated pool, access to private beach areas along the bay, clamming and crabbing gear, a food truck, luxurious sundry shop and more. Oh yeah. Super family friendly too! The first thing you'll notice is the design. The place literally blends in with the surroundings in the most wonderful way and the sites and houses are laid out to provide as much privacy as possible while still encouraging you to chat with your neighbors. There's a serenity here that I've not experienced before, and it's hard to imagine that with so many people there. We stayed in a one bedroom container with a loft that had two twin size beds. The living space was complete with a full kitchen, L-shaped banquette with easy clean covers and a table with seating for four, and room to breathe. I loved the massive windows that brought the outside in and allowed the crisp coastal air to cool the unit off during the day. Outside there's a picnic table, fire pit, Adirondack chairs and a other patio behind the unit too! Even without a water view we could still see some of the bay from our window, while the rest was tree line, which actually invited a deer to come right past our window. We enjoyed the pool on several occasions. It was a bit warm for me, but my kiddo thought it was perfect. It's housed in a building that really emphasizes lines of sight that bring the natural surroundings into the space, especially when you're in the water looking out. There's a full bathroom with shower too. From a convenience standpoint, I loved their text service. Literally any item or assistance, you could possibly need was just a text away. Answers flew at the speed of light almost, and deliveries were equally as quick. I would love to stay here again in the future and recommend you check it out for yourself! read more

Had a lovely stay in one of the Kamp Haus cabins. The small kitchenette had everything we needed including excellent local coffee with a pour over set up. Comfy blanket, outdoor chairs, firewood with marshmallow sticks, nice little grassy area by the cabin. We had our pup with us and they provided a very helpful dog kit with extra towels and sheets to keep the sand under control, we also took advantage of the heated dog wash station after a little smelly swim he took haha. Didn't spend much time in the common areas but they looked really nice. If you're booking I'd definitely recommend trying to get a beach facing spot, you can't see a lot from further back. Overall great stay and customer service, we will be back! read more

If you are reading reviews and trying to decide if splurging on a getaway and/or vacation here just DO IT! This place is amazing. We rented a dune cabin for our family of four and it was wonderful. The cabin had everything you would need to feel at home and it was very bright with a wonderful layout. We also traveled with our small dog and they provided the cutest care package for her as well waiting for us when we entered the cabin. We enjoyed bonfires, beach walks, wildlife, the pool, and other amenities during our two night stay. The employees were all very friendly and C. Moore was very prompt in bringing firewood and checking on us. Great guy! This is somewhere we were sad to leave and hope to one day visit again. It is a hidden and BEAUTIFUL gem. read more

I did not want to write a bad review but we felt so "tricked" that I did not want this to happen to anyone else. We planned to stay here for three nights but left after one. The "bay" is a very smelly and the narrow beach was covered with seaweed (?) and possibly toilet paper or some other paper product. We found out that there is actually a waste treatment plant very close. There are also no hiking or walking trails. you have to leave to walk along the coast. We tried to reach out to the staff (called and emailed) NO ONE calls back or emails back. It is so weird. The people who checked us in were very sweet but the experience was a mess! It is difficult to equate value sometimes... what makes something worth it if money is not the only factor to consider. Knowing Bay Point was a good location on the coast, I must say we've stayed at other good locations at the coast only to be amazed how run down and poorly managed they were. At check-in it was impressive, first impressions are important and this was a good one. Check in: amazing customer service, got our Good Sam discount in firewood which was delivered to our waterfront site. The park: great separation and low noise from traffic or other normal stuff. Stay away from the kids area if you're not into that sort of noise.. lots of kids on our visit. Hookups: 50amp, water, and all the other goodies. Simple and clean. Views: incredible bay views but windy... did I say windy well that it was. Food: we went out a few times but cooked at our site mostly. It was Covid crazy times so everyone just did their best. Overall Value: This is a good place to visit, a must for that trip up the Oregon Coast. That being said, make reservations well in advance, we're booked out into 2021 with a couple of visits. For sure glamping and it is not beachfront but there are places to walk waterfront depending on tide. We travel for work and work from wherever so if we have a choice, we'll take a great place like this. read more

Loved, loved, loved this place! We are RV'ers but actually stayed in one of the "two people"cabins which was awesome, great outdoor firepit with Adirondack chairs, wind wall that kept us cozy. Great restaurants (nothing too fancy but great food) and plenty to do, make sure you go to Sunset Beach and be prepared, its the Oregon Coast, could rain (all the time you are there) but it could be sunny and beautiful (average temp is in the 70's), greak kayaking, trails, beaches, shops et.... Don't stay anywhere else if you can. This places features great RV spots, cabins and Air Streams for rent as well. read more

So to be honest we were skeptical that the location could live up to the marketing pictures. I've seen the bay...and I thought maybe they were getting creative with filters...but its gorgeous, truly. Even when inside the cabin, they have things situated so the view can be enjoyed. Highlights and things I wish I knew/paid attention to before we got there...in no particular order... - Staff is friendly on the phone or in person but any communication via email or their text option was crickets or seemed like it was coming from a bot. - Think of it as more of a hotel than an Airbnb. The only cooking supply they had was salt/pepper but all the essential cooking tools were there. The microwave is also a convection oven and the (small) 2-burner range is a glass top. - The units are very minimalistic in decor, which I love, and overall the unit was very clean, but I had to sweep up someone else's dog hair when we first got there which was annoying....especially when you pay extra to bring your dogs. - Bugs, lots of bugs, but you're in a gorgeous nature preserve along an ocean bay, so it comes with the territory. - If you need non-breakable dishes for kids, bring your own. Drinkware is glass and plates/bowls are corelle-type. - Views from unit 113 north all seemed to be unobstructed. - Linens were all clean and the toiletries were great. Make sure you reserve time for showers, the rain shower head is pretty dreamy. - The puppy bag is really helpful, comes w/towels, sheets, bowls, a leash and treats our pups loved. The dog wash station was great too. - The bed and pillows aren't horrible but I wouldn't call them "luxury". - Coffee pot is a chemex/pour over style and they do provide a small bag of their custom blend from Sisters Coffee Co. that was a nice touch. Carhartt beanie not included ;) - Pool is great, a little chilly if you have swimmers used to something warm and the whole pool is 4 1/2 feet deep. - There was a bit of firewood and a duraflame fire starter (not sure if they supplied it or if it was left by the prior occupant) but they also sell it at the store for $7/bundle (Freddy's was the same price) and a couple bucks for the fire starter. Overall it was a great place that we can't wait to return to. I had to strip a star only because they're billing it as "luxury" accommodations and for that the mattress/pillows and cookware need a little upgrade and I definitely shouldn't have to sweep when I first get there. read more

Great spot right on the bay. Walk out to dig clams and great sunsets. Local towns have great restaurants Pricey and you have to pay an up charge to reserve your site. Seems like an unnecessary money grab. Roads are dirt, Sites are spacious but gravel with weeds and the grass is not watered so very messy inside the RV. The food truck is a plus. We didn't use the pool or other rooms by the office. That's not what we were here for. I think they could utilize those spaces better. They will deliver fire wood, ice and other items from the store. I recommend but I've been to many " luxury" Rv resorts and other than the location this is not luxury. The biggest complaint of ours were the roads and gravel sites. We had a very disappointing experience at Bay Point Landing. After first trying to voice our concerns to management through an email and receiving no response, we feel obliged to warn others of our experience. We stayed in one of their Airstream trailers which cost us $800 for 3 nights. This price seemed justified initially for the "water views" that the website showed. The campground map even labels the Airstreams at "water view". But do not be deceived. There are no Airstreams with water views! They are in the center of the property. At best, you may have a peek-a-boo view through the cabins and cars. As another reviewer said, we felt tricked. I confirmed with the front desk staff that we were indeed in the correct trailer, the one with the "water view". When I pointed out that their website showed that you can see the water from the trailer but in reality there is no water view, she admitted that "yes, sorry, this is kind of a marketing thing". In fact, there is a photo on their website that is false and misleading. It is obviously an image taken before the cabins were constructed, with an unobstructed view from a trailer out to the water. This view no longer exists. I emailed the management to point this out, asking them to please take down the misleading information on their website. As I mentioned earlier, I have received no response. All in all, Bay Point Landing is all show and no substance. It looks great on their website and on Instagram, but does not deliver on value. read more

Gorgeous facility. There are tons of amenities and everything was super clean. Our whole group agreed this was the best spot we camped at.

I can't wait to go back!! We stayed in a Drift Cabin end of October. It was very rainy and already basically off-season so it was not very busy. Everything was great! We loved the cabin and all the amenities, including the game room, salt water pool, and gym. The beach isn't huge or good for swimming but was so nice for a short walk, for relaxation, and to let the dog run around. Drift Cabin kitchens are a little larger than the others so we cooked several meals - it had everything except an oven, although the microwave seemed to be a combo convection oven. Can't really walk to anything except a convenience store, but restaurants and everything else are only 5-10 minutes away. No traffic in the area end of October. read more

We came here to spend my birthday, and it was NOT what you expect for the $$$. The check in was confusing as there are no signage. The staff seemed nice, but after check-in we rented one of the cabins ocean front. There was a used contact on the night stand, the rack in the fridge had black mold with who knows what, and the shampoo dispenser was empty! it looked NOT clean or unsanitary. I slept on top of the bedding, as it was dingy and dirty looking as well as stains on the towels. Gross to say the least. We are not complainers, but went back to the main office to inform them of what we found. The long haired man working there offered us a container of wipes to clean it ourselves, it was ridiculous so I took it and only to find that there is only 1 WIPE! They even asked me to bring it back which I did sacasrtically to let them know that was what was left and offered me more! Horrible customer service and will not recommend this to anyone else! It sounds like the other reviews shared the sam experience. Not once did they offer any assistance or accommodations for our experience. Agreed the staff we encountered should not be in the hospitality business. The investors from Portland SHOULD be concerned and reach out to those that have had this unfortunate experience not work 1500.00 for 4 nights!! We have come here regularly every year with our family (typically we rent out 1 RV spot for a family members personal RV and also 2-3 Air streams that they have on the opposite sides of the park). Needless to say we spend a good amount of money especially when it comes down to the fact each airstream alone is $200 per night and we are normally here for 5 days.... After you include the pet fees for our 5 dogs we are around the $3,000-$5,000 mark AT THE LEAST. Ultimately our experiences were great up until this last stay. THIS TIME we were greeted with 1 Air Stream completely used I'm talking bed still undone, the shower still had dirty towels in it and dirty dishes in the sink including finding the I.D. card of the previous occupant on the counter.... AND WE STILL HAD TO CLEAN IT OURSELVES because the office won't answer the phone at 3 pm, 4pm, 5pm or even 6pm on a Friday or listen to the multiple messages we had left them that day. The other Airstream didn't have the A/C working in the bedroom and then upon bringing that to the attention of the front office the next morning, we were told " they don't have A/C in there just heat". Ma'am EVERY time we have been here there has been A/C ?!? AFTER ALL THAT, we were only credited $300 and given 2 hats and a Mug to "take care of it".... Now let's move on to the facility! Over grown grass, the bathroom/showers were never re-supplied or supplied at all with towels for that matter ( when we went to the office to request towels we had a woman help us I think her name was Brittany gives us attitude and told us to make sure we return those towels which would've been all good minus the fact that she made us feel like were asking her to do something out of her job description), and the complimentary firewood never made it over to the RV spot for our family members personal RV spot ( minor I know but still it's something that's included). This place is clearly going down hill and the staff that are nice have confirmed are assumptions and that they have been understaffed and recently going through issues with management. UNFORTUNATELY, I DO NOT RECOMMEND SPENDING YOU'RE MONEY OR TIME WITH FAMILY HERE ANYMORE UNTIL THEY GET BACK UP TO PAR WITH THERE ORIGINAL STANDARDS. read more

Had a lovely long weekend here in August. We stayed in one of the tiny houses with our son. It was very comfortable and we'll set up for a family of four, with separate beds for two kiddos. Kids ran around the entire campground on bikes and scooters, the facilities were well set up with a lovely warm indoor pool and a kid hang out room to watch tv. They also had the fanciest s'more kits I've ever seen available in the camp store. The chocolate had espresso in it so these were solidly for adults unless you want your kid turbo charged (I personally do not). They also had regular Kraft marshmallows and Hershey's available ;) Such a fun spot, a short drive from beautiful state parks along the coast (Coos Bay, Sunset Beach). read more

This is a gem of an RV park. There are multiple way to stay...obviously your own RV but they also have tiny homes and permanently placed airstreams for rent. Lots of nice amenities. An indoor pool, workout room, kid's den, lounge, game room, clean restrooms with showers, and their camp store doesn't gouge you for convenience and they will deliver to your camp site! They have restrooms and shower rooms that are super clean if you'd rather not use the one in your camper or RV. The whole area is very clean. Wife and I spend a lot of time at the coast Fishing, Eating and Gambling. We went there a rented one of the nicer one bedroom Bayfront cabins, we checked in and went to the casino. Came back and went to bed , I'm a early riser got up to fix coffee and yhe kitchen counter was a total ant farm, I was instantly very disappointed and pissed. I waited a couple hours for wife to get up and ghe we tracked down a maintenance crew . Told them about the ants and we requested it be cleaned up and made presentable. Then my wife went into the office and vented on the office help. Not much was done. We went to breakfast and I got a text saying we were being discounted 15%!!!! I said the whole weekend should be free the ants were rediculous in kitchen and livingroom area that evening. We had a sleepless night and left early the next morning. Got a couple emails saying that they thought they did enough for us and that was all they were doing. I should have stopped payment on credit card, heck 2 nights were almost $650...... overall a DECENT stay , not sure if i would return. my comforter was just a duvet insert, with no cover so it felt unhygenic, it was just an insert sandwiched between two loose sheets. i arrived and the unit was 52 degrees inside, the heat was off entirely. it did warm up after a while (maybe took an hour?) of them being on but just odd it was entirely off in january (all 3 heaters in the one unit). the heater is very loud, although i know that can't be helped. the wifi was super spotty so i didn't even get to use it. there's not a lot of lighting outside so it felt a bit sketchy walking to my car even. very small light outside the unit that displays the unit number but that's all the lighting you really get. i do think these units may be more appealing in the summer due to the amenities. i give it 3/5 due to the above complaints given the price point of these units per night (approx $200/night depending on the specific unit). read more

We have spent 5 days being blown off our feet, out of our trailer, barely able to open the door and the wind slamming the door behind us. The facilities are good and the indoor pool was one plus. But freezing temps and 19mph winds in the middle of July is not my idea of a good summer vacation: I can't imagine how it is in the winter. We requested to leave early and were told that no early check out would be refunded. I requested a call from the GM and am yet to receive one. We have a small travel trailer but even the 5th wheels are rocking and multiple neighbors leaving early. This entire experience really has put a damper on our summer adventure. read more
