The first thing I look for in an RV park is whether or not we can squeeze our big rig into the sites. Nothing else matters if we can't fit on the pad. That is definitely not a problem here, as the sites are at least 80 feet long. Having said that, Robbins Nest is not a resort, but a relatively quiet, comfortable, and safe place to stay while you're exploring Bandon. Bandon is my wife's hometown, so we are very familiar with the area, and we come back to visit every summer. I can honestly say Robbins Nest is the best big rig friendly park within 30 miles in any direction. The park is only a few minutes from Old Town Bandon, just off Highway 101, but not so close that road noise is a problem. There's plenty of room to extend slide-outs and awnings, unlike some of the other parks nearby. The electric pedestal provides a rock-steady 120 volts, water pressure is adequate, and the sewer hookup and fresh water spigot are about 15 feet apart, an important sanitary consideration. The free WiFi boasts some of the fastest speeds we've seen in our 5 years of full-timing. There are excellent photos of the park and local attractions on their website, and a very cool hi-def video showing a fly-over view of the park. The owners, Joy and Dondi are friendly and helpful, and strive to keep the park clean and well maintained. An online search will show numerous 4- and 5-star reviews, except one left recently (July 2020) by a disgruntled guest who complained about being evicted for violating the park's posted speed limit. Do not judge this park based solely on his angry testimony. It's true that upon check-in, Joy makes it a point to ask you to drive slowly in the park, but that's because she's concerned for the safety of the guests. She certainly doesn't stand on the road with a radar gun like that one sad individual seems to imply. Surely, there's more to his story than he's willing to admit. This is an amazing place for us to stop for a week. Yes there is the road noise from 101, 50 yards away, but so worth it to us. They are working on opening a store out front. Until then go to the house to check in. Pros: -50 and over so NO kids! -We have a 32' 5th Wheel that fits perfectly. -Pull Through spacious sites -LEVEL SITES!! -nice area to do laundry, puzzles, read. -can buy $10 roll of quarters for laundry -clean bathrooms and showers that takes a code to get in. -dog area, but not fenced in. -friendly, professional managers on site -gave us our site number when we made reservations so we could park in it before check in. -recycle trash bins -quiet -cable -very few Rv sites -NO kids!! Cons: -there is some road noise -not really good places to walk off property -lots of weeds in grass, but they do keep it short -only one washer and dryer(which is fine for us) -about a mile or so to walk to the ocean and there is really no space to walk next to the road. If some improvements were made, this could be a nice enough park. Unfortunately, there is not much they can do about the constant, very loud road noise from 101. Sleep is challenging! There are new owners and managers so hopefully they'll make positive changes. One would be availability of the managers. Answering the phone is not a high priority, and that is the only way to get in touch with them. We saw the husband a couple times but never saw his wife. There are no signs indicating where office is located. New arrivals (us included) asked people already there where to check-in. This required knocking on the front door where the managers live so they could go to the office (read "storage area") to check you in. Secondly, they need some landscaping. There are a few trees but the rest is dried up grass/weeds between sites. There are no views other than looking at other RVs. This is a very small park with many long term/monthly renters. Sites are near, and there is no privacy. The pull thru sites are long and pretty level. All the roads and sites are gravel. The utilities worked fine. Surprisingly, the WII FI worked really well most of the time although sometimes it didn't work at all. Verizon was 4g 2 bars so we were able to use our hot spots. Satellite is possible in most, if not all, sites. They have cable but we didn't try it as you need to install one of their boxes. There is only one washing machine and one dryer. The washing machine was broken until the last day we were there. The laundromat in town is in disrepair. The bathrooms were not open. There is nothing for kids to do here, and we saw none while we were there. Bandon is a small but cute little town on a harbor. It's hard to get away from water here :) There are local grocery stores but no big chains. Bandon Fish Market has delicious Fish & Chips. Face Rock beach is amazing with large rocks and a long flat beach. Catch Circles in the Sand if it's scheduled. It's a cool activity! Twin Creek Ranch blueberry farm is a couple miles south. Picking blueberries is addictive, and our freezer is full! On the way, stop and check out Misty Meadows Jams. Coos Bay and Shore Acres State park are about a 40 minute drive and well worth the trip. read more

I had been talking to Terri, who is the reservations manager at Robin's nest. I had been speaking with her for over two months. Let me first say that Terri is a very nice and seemingly upfront person, but she is very new to the job and doesn't seem to know exactly what the owners require She seemed very interested in having us come and stay long-term. We were simply waiting to get the travel trailer we were going to live in. I had not yet filled out a formal application, indeed, I was told one wouldn't be necessary as they went off of who they liked, or didn't like, I hadn't even told her my last name, when it actually came time to make a concrete move, I gave her both my last name and my husbands last name, which sounds very foreign. All of a sudden, it went from a very informal "handshake kind of agreement" to "how many dogs do you have?" I told her I have three dogs and two small puppies who I was attempting to find homes for. at that point she got very interested in how to spell my last name, and what ethnic origin it originated from? My husband is Polynesian. We had a perfunctory phone interview and again it sounded almost as though she was just checking a few boxes she had initially told us that the rent would be at $590 per month all utilities included--however, after we gave her our full information--it was $690 per month, this in and of itself should've been a red flag. In addition, originally I was told there would be a minimum six month lease, but preferably a one-year lease, but when I talked to her in the informal interview, I was informed that not only was there no lease It was a month-to-month rental agreement that supposedly was for the renters benefit, that acted as though it was a lease, but without any of the legal protections which would be granted in a lease. So basically what we were told is that it was a month-to-month rental agreement, but as long as we stayed, the rent would not go up if we committed to not leave for a year, however should they choose to throw us out they could do so at any time with only a 30 day notice. It was a wink, wink nod, nod, kind of a situation, which seemed sketchy on its face. At the time of our informal interview she had one unit available that quickly went to three but by the next day, when everything was said and done there were no units available, even though we had found homes for the puppies. Apparently, our money was no good there because it wasn't white? Suffice it to say that prior to me giving her our full information everything she transmitted seem to suggest that this was a very laid-back place very informal and everything was done on a handshake and whether or not they liked you. She kept emphasizing how important it was, that people "" fit in". I am now wondering if fit in was code for "be white" if you were a person of color, or you have an unusual last name, that might indicate you were a person of color, or if you know any people of color, or any gays, or lesbians, or anyone who does not fit the white bread mold that seems to be the preference on the Oregon coast, AVOID this place, like the plague. Ok for an overnight stop but you may have to figure out on your own where to park because the management wasn't around. They are refurbishing the store out front. Maybe that'll improve things. We stayed at Robins Nest in July 2018. Joy was able to find us a spot at the last minute on a busy holiday weekend when she had just had a cancellation. The RV park has good signage so it's easy to find. It is off 101, but the buildings by the front muffle the noise and the traffic dies down at night. The clubhouse has everything you could need and we did use the washer dryer which worked well. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. The Wi-Fi is slow. There were some long-term renters but all the rigs are well-maintained. We stayed for two nights and would definitely stay again. read more

My initial phone contact with the owner (Joy) was extremely friendly and helpful. I reserved a pull-thru RV site for a recent weekend. The RV park is located directly off of Highway 101 with quick access to Bandon, OR (more on that shortly). They do in fact have very long pull-thru gravel sites which are as close to level as you can get. Full hookup was available and she provided a cable box for TV channels with easy instructions on hooking it up (I chose not to use it, as I spent most of my time away from my rig rather than in it). There was adequate space between sites with enough yard to extend our awnings without encroaching on the neighbors abode. As I had mentioned, even though the RV park is located directly off of 101, I slept with the windows open and found the RV park to be surprisingly absent of most traffic noise (not much you can do with that loud car or truck or the straight piped Harley). Everyone adhered to the quiet hours (10 pm to 8 am). It was very pleasant to have a good nights rest over the entire weekend. The grounds were kept very clean and they have trash disposal and recycling available. There is a clubhouse, laundry facility and showers (which I did not use) and it's nice that the owners live on site as well, just in case problems are encountered. With eight back in sites and twelve pull-thru sites, it was just the right size but they fill up pretty fast. You will want to reserve ahead, especially during the summer tourist season. This is a pet friendly RV park and rules are posted in regards to the same. Normal (reasonable) check-in and out hours (in at 2 pm and out by 11 am). More information is available on their website and I even found a Youtube video of their RV park, which helped me make my decision. If I had to be critical about one thing, it would be the width of the roads running between the sites. If you have a longer rig and the person next to you has a vehicle parked near the end of their site, it could be a tight squeeze on exiting. Same could apply with entering into the sites. I have a 40 foot rig and I had no problem exiting as my neighbor left in his truck just as I was hooking up, which made my exit a bit less stressful as where his truck was parked could have made for a tight exit strategy. I highly recommend Robbin's Nest RV Park and I will certainly be back, not to mention recommending their campground to my friends. You can exit immediately onto Beach Loop Drive, and within a very short drive, have pull offs that access the wonderful beach areas that the Oregon Coast is noted for. Great owners, great place and a perfect location. I did not know them before my arrival and I've never stayed there before. My first impression was extremely positive. read more

Our stay at Robbin's Nest could not have been better. The host was gracious and welcoming. We have a 36 foot fifth wheel and had more than enough room in the pull-through site. We reserved on short notice just before the July 4th weekend and took the last spot they had available. The park is just far enough from town to avoid the noise and traffic but, close enough to get to town easily. Each spot has grass on both sides. read more

We too got our spot at this facility because of inavailabilty at other places. A ton of rules and because they didn't like the way my truck went over the speed bump, I got intercepted telling me I was speeding. Daily, I have watched my speedometer coming into the park because we got a stern warning when we arrived about speed. I am not one that likes to break the rules but where is the radar gun? 3/4 ton truck with air bags and 80 lbs of air pressure in the tires and it bounces when going over the speed bump too much for their liking. I had a horrible experience here. The park is in really poor shape. The site has no pavement. It's all gravel, put down years ago with grass and weeds growing through the gravel in all areas and mud puddles prevail. The the "lawned" areas are the same with more weeds than grass. After signing up for a month, I get the "contract" that includes no refunds. I was also told that the facilities, such as showers and laundry were closed due to covid. Had I known, I would not have stayed. I should have checked out the previous reviews, as one visitor was evicted for the subjective claim that he was speeding. I was extremely conscientious about keeping my speed under the 5 mph limit, but was rudely confronted with one owner telling me that I was "flying through" the park. They said they trapped my on radar! After my resistance, they cut off my cable. I even started filming my speedometer to record that my speed was under their requested speed, but they threatened to evict me anyway. Then I found out from previous reviews that they've done this before. I think the object was to keep the money that I'd paid them for the month, kick me out and rent it to someone else. There are much nicer places to stay in Bandon with much nicer people. When I left, I drove down the street to another park for which I had made a reservation. When I arrived, they were on the phone with the owner of Robbin's Nest listening to their untrue complaints about me to destroy my reputation with them. Do not stay here!!! If you do, make certain you document the speed that you are driving through the park, but it's easier and less stress if you just drive on by. read more

This is a great place if you don't have a pet and don't mind a ton of rules ( page and a half, another half a page if you have a pet and didn't catch the pet rules in the first portion). You're sure to have someone waving their arms at you before you exceed the posted speed limit (3 times)while entering the park. Stayed over 2 months at Robbons Nest Rv. Very clean. Well layed out, long pull through spaces. Hookups are solid and all the utilities were good. The thing I liked the most about this park is it is one of the only parks we have been in (9 years rv_ing) that the park rules are actually enforced. Joy will let you know if you drive too fast in the park. Allow your dog to bother other residents or any other infraction. It really is refreshing to find a park that is consistent about thier rules. There several long term residents. All spaces are kept clean and everyone is friendly. We will be back next year for sure. (Fishing was great too) read more

After discovering that Bullard's Beach was full, my husband located the Robbin's Nest RV Park. The location of this park was close enough to Old Town Bandon and to other beaches that we decided to make a reservation. The entry to the park was an easy pull through. The sites provide enough space to move around easily. We found we needed a couple of extra risers to level off our site but this might not be so for the other spaces or other style RV's. Meeting Joy (the owner) was a delightful experience! She is so warm, friendly and informative! She helped us set up the cable tv (it's an easy set up with Joy's help) and we got great internet service too. The place has nice clubhouse (nothing fancy!) but be aware that there is only one washer and one dryer for the parks laundry needs. This didn't seem to concern us as we did 3 loads quickly and played cards while waiting in the clubhouse. (There are books, games and another TV in there so plenty to occupy your time while you wait!) The restrooms are clean and the park is tidy. Joy is a very organized person! Although the site is near the 101 we didn't hear any real traffic noise and we slept very well here. All in all, our week long stay here was easy, comfortable and we would stay here again. What started out as a bad dream for our camping trip Robbins Nest RV Park turned it into a joyful dream. Our new RV was just to long to fit at our reservation spot at another RV park and being Memorial weekend most places were booked ! So we started looking on Yelp . After speaking to Joy (owner) we decided to give Robbins Nest a try. When we arrived Joy was so friendly she showed us our RV pull through spot perfect size for our RV , the club house , pet area etc , she made us feel so welcoming . Robbins Nest it's a small RV park with EZ drive in and out on highway 101 , full hookups, very clean and plenty of space between RVs . When I made the reservation the women I spoke to required a first night down payment that was non refundable. There were very few choices in Bandon. When we arrived we found a small RV Park with spaces about 7 feet apart. The space and roads were mixed size gravel. There was a strip of dried up grass and weeds. (It was the end of summer). The utilities were in a new strip of concrete making it very easy to hook up. There were very few trees or vegetation anywhere. After driving in to the park looking for our space the owner came out to our camper asking if she could help us. We went into the park lounge with laundry and a tv where we discussed the very few amenities, shower and WiFi and the rules for 10-15 minutes. The second night we woke up to a gastly order to realize upon leaving that it was the septic tank covers right outside our door. In the three feet of grass we had. The order was horrible. I would not recommend this RV Park. A new one is going in down the road. I wish I had checked it out before renting this one. read more
