I have been taking my love bug Rufus (dog) to this Banfield inside of the Petsmart store near me for the last 14 years. The staff and the doctors have been nothing more than excellent. I usually don't write reviews on yelp. But recently, Rufus had to get a blood test and his teeth looked at, and I do have a wellness plan with them, they called me back and let me know that all of that would be covered since my plan just renewed. And set a new date for me to bring him in for all of those things to be done at the same time. Which was only five days later than the appointment I had already made to me, that means that the staff there were actually looking at all of their records, And found that they could save me money by waiting five more days. This is nothing more than excellent. I will for always have nothing but great respect and love for these folks. I recommend this Banfield to anybody that has a pet! read more

I'm very happy with the care my dog gets at the Banfield Arden location. They address any concerns or questions that I have and always treat my dog well. When talking with the vet and other staff I can tell they have a genuine love for pets. I realize they are understaffed which can push out appointments, but I know a lot of places are understaffed and I look to the corporation to solve that issue, not the employees at the location. read more

The whole culture of Banfield has changed. My dog was sick and running a temp, and not eating, I called they told me I had to wait a week before they could see my dog., I had to take my dog to emerg vet, the bill was over $400 for an ear infection. I was paying for a plan at Banfield, no more now, I wouldnt go there if my dog was dying. read more

I am always very satisfied with Banfield in Arden. BUt, on three different occasions I have needed To get my dogs nails clipped and I have called as recently as yesterday and was told I do not need an appointment .I just shouldnt cone between 12P.M.and 2P.M.So I went thete today at 9:30 A.M.and was told they couldnt see my dog.I was furious.There also is a big sign at the desk that says they sre open for full service 9A.M. to 6P M. The lady at the desk acted as if she could care less.Very rudely said to her associate"Its gonna be one of those days".She necer tried to see if they could help me since it was their error. Tgey were supposed to have 2 prescriptions ready.THEY WERENT. I understant theses are vety trying times but all they could have said was that they couldnt see my dog when I called.I would have been okay with that. Thank you read more

The customer service at this location is like you are ordering for McDonald , I believe employees at McDonald's are much better. AMBER has a major attitude problem and was very unprofessional. I have been a customer of Bandfield since 2013 with my 2 shih tzus and 1 yorkiepoo. In Florida I get great customer service. The receptionist in THIS facility is NOT WELL TRAINED and AWFUL AT CUSTOMER SERVICE! The day before my dog's appointment on September 3,2022 at 11:45 am I called this location to change my appointment to 9 am, since I live 2 hours away. I told SHANNON that I live 2 hours away and I needed everything done for my dog. It is not a drop off appointment. The following day I got a call that this is now a drop off since it's 9:04 already. I told her we are by the traffic light and that I will be there soon since there's traffic. I got there at 9:12 am. I pleaded if they can at least do the vaccine. They refused and said that the doctor is now in surgery. I asked Shannon where is the Doctor was supposed to see my dog. She said the Doctor called out. And Amber inserted herself into the conversation and said there's nothing we can do with her stern voice and her eyes rolling at me. I ignored her since I was already upset with the situation and asked Shannon why they didn't call us since the Doctor that was supposed to see my dog called out. Her answer was " because we are waiting for another doctor to come in". My husband asked and told them to "please put yourself in our shoes, how would you feel? We woke up early and drove for 2 hours and didn't get a phone call" I had this problem in Florida, and they gave us a heads up that her doctor is not there and there's an option to drop her off, if not, I can reschedule. Amber nor Shannon failed to do that and I wasted gas and mileage and time to go there! I can't afford to drop off my dog and come back in 4 hours(that's the option they gave me) as this is not planned and my husband and I have to go to work. I asked Shannon to give me their names (since they are not handling this responsibly and what needs to be done WAS NOT DONE), AMBER HAS THE AUDACITY TO TELL ME " WE WILL NOT WRITE ANYTHING FOR YOU BUT YOU CAN WRITE IT YOURSELF". AMBER SHAME ON YOU. YOU ARE NOT WORKING IN FAST FOOD CHAIN. BANFIELD IS A CORPORATION AND HAS A GOOD REPUTATION! You are SMEARING the good reputation of this corporation. You act like you're working from the HOOD and the way you GLARE AT AND SPEAK TO OTHER CUSTOMERS especially when there's a problem. In addition to that someone came and went behind the desk, someone they know (not an employee for sure since she is not wearing scrubs) after AMBER told me those harsh words she started talking to the lady like nothing was going on. Very unprofessional. I was beyond upset at this point. Shannon did tell me AMBER's NAME. If Bandfield is aiming for fast-food service at least aim for CHIK FIL A. And please HIRE PEOPLE that can do and get the job done specially when there's problems like this. It doesn't help when the customer is already upset and the secretaries give the customer an attitude and HELL TOO. For the record, NOT ONE APOLOGIZE for the inconvenience. There were 3 of them. I wish they had a manager on site to speak with me. Please, review the handbook. If the doctor called out it is your responsibility to call the parents. because not everyone lives right around the corner! We drove 2 hours to and another 2 hours back. This BANFIIELD will not thrive. The patient has not even reached the doctor YET and there's already a problem. There is an impression that if the secretaries can't handle it right, most likely Doctors won't be able to solve the pet's health either. My advice, Take the bad root/parasites out and watch the tree blossoms. read more

Port Saint Lucie, Florida. My dog is 3.5-pound chihuahua, he is about 7 inches tall and less than 11 inches long. I began paying for the Banfield coverage from the first week I had him. I was satisfied. Bosely is tiny and has fragile bone structure through his jaw. He has four teeth due to disfigured teeth that were removed. Now, he is a mature chihuahua and anxious. So, a vet tech told us after we picked him up that they muzzled that tiny little harmless bit of terror because he did not want them to handle him. And they had the gall and desperate unprofessional manner to muzzle a dog with a fragile jaw. NEVER AGAIN. I would never ever recommend Banfield in Port Saint Lucie due the very poor treatment of my dog. Honestly, who on earth can't handle a three pound dog and hold him in such a way that he can't nibble toothlessly on you? read more

Last week i had to sadly make the decision to have my sweet boy put down. He was 14 and was really starting to decline in health. I talked to Margie and scheduled the appointment she was very sweet and helpful. When i went in for the appointment. I was immediately brought into a room. However after almost 25 minutes someone finally came into the room. They talked to me and asked me what had been going on. Well then they left the room again - I get that they are a place of business and can be very busy. However when someone comes in and has to do one of the hardest things and put their animal down. After waiting more than an hour - to finally have the doctor come in it was very disappointing. When asked if we would be able to get a paw print I was told well we'll have to find it they weren't sure where the stuff was and how long it would take for it ! That is not want I wanted to hear right before im about to put my sweet boy down ! Then when I called to follow up they said the office manager had taken it home to bake the clay and it should be out in the mail a few days. A few days later I received something and it was a stamp of his paw. When I called to asked the status -yet again - of the clay. I was told. I should of gotten the ink stamp the day off( so I had to wait almost a week for something I should of gotten the same day???! ) and I said no I was told that they were going to make me a mold! They had no idea what i was talking about ! I have been getting the run around. This is beyond ridiculous and hurtful ! Clearly there is no remorse or compassion shown when this happens !! Trying to cancel the wellness plan was also a horrible experience! No heart ! read more

Definitely don't recommend this place. I took my two cats there for a regular check up and vaccines. They kept them there all day then sent both of them home without having done anything except write a prescription for a sedative. Apparently they don't know how to hold a nervous cat long enough to give them a shot. What's worse is that they were kept in their crates for hours without food, water, or a litter box. When I brought them home I had to clean poop out of the crates that they were stuck in all day. During that visit they said I would save money if I signed up for the wellness plan which I agreed to. It was $30 a month for one cat for a year and you can't cancel without having to pay for every service you've gotten. I got one for my cat who had some stomach issues because I was under the impression that I could take him when he needed to go for no more than that monthly fee. The next time I brought him back and asked about his stomach issues they said he was probably overeating (which isn't the case) and said that any tests would be additional money. The only thing the wellness plan covers is a routine physical which isn't necessary more than once per year. That adds up to $360 for just a check up and any other medical issues are full price. Wow.... I hate giving bad reviews but this one is well deserving.. where do I start. Well my lovely dog had one morning pulled a knife out of the sink after hoping over the baby gate and tried chewing on it like a toy and sliced his leg open and was bleeding all over the place. (we've upgraded the baby gate since) none the less they were gracious enough to get him a drop off appt that morning so we hopped in the car and off we went. Mind you this drop off was at 7:30am. They said he'd be ready around 4pm.... the doctor called me around 12 after I had called to see if he was seen yet and she told me it would be a simple cleaning of the wound cutting the fur and skin glue. Sweet so he'd be ready in an hour or so. So I show up around 2 to drop off some food, peanut butter Kong and a greenie for him after being told I still had to wait until 4pm to get him. (This is crazy) I kept checking, kept checking he still wasn't ready so when he was ready the food was returned to me as I had brought it. Mind you my dog didn't have breakfast, and he had been there since 7:30 .... 8.5 hours he was there for skin glue..... mind blown. Next was dani my other lovely dog who was throwing up blood for 12 HOURS! I called REACH that night when it wasn't as repetitive and they said give her sips of water and see how it goes well nope my husband was up ALL NIGHT with her throwing up yellow bile and blood.... so I called my Doctor to get an appt and was told it wasn't an emergency, they couldn't take her until Wednesday (it was Monday) and I should call REACH! (I PAY MONTHLY FOR THIS) Thankfully it stopped on its own but that ticked me off. And to top it all off I called about some side effects related to the medication dog #2 was on and about some questions for dog #1 neutering next week! And no one returned my phone call or answered the phones. All in all.... I don't recommend this location. I love doctors Foster and Doctor Reynolds they are simply fantastic and Lindi Front desk. Very nice to work with other than that ... I beyond over this place and I will be taking my money else where! read more

Banfield in Arden has been my pet's vet for 10 years, and we've always had wonderful experiences there... up until the past year. The entire staff, including the vet, are rude and have much to learn about customer service! There has been a revolving door with vets at this practice. You can hardly get someone to answer the phone, and scheduling an appointment within a reasonable time frame has become extremely difficult. Forget about needing your vet last minute or if you have an emergency... you might as well go somewhere else because they will not be able to help you! Most recently, my dog had a scheduled dental cleaning w/anesthesia with a drop off time of 715am. We stood outside in the cold rain waiting for someone to unlock the doors until after 8:10am! No apologies whatsoever for this inconvenience. Our follow-up appt was supposed to be 10 days later. However, they had no appts available within the next 3 weeks because there was only 1 vet working. On the day of our follow-up appt, we were late maybe 10 minutes, but waited in line to get checked in for over 20 minutes, and were told they only allow you to be 7 minutes late and we would have to reschedule our appt since it was past the 15 minute window booked for the appt. Although we were late, there was absolutely no consideration or apologies given that we had to wait an additional 20 minutes on the ONE employee they had checking folks in that day! The "shift lead" was VERY passive aggressive with her words, behaviors, and mannerisms, and actually told me she "was not allowed to be aggressive in her job, so this (her behaviors) was all she could do" as IF being aggressive was even an option rolling through her mind! Wow! Speechless! Unbelievable rudeness and threatening behaviors towards your customers are unacceptable no matter the situation! My dog was panting heavily and so stressed with the situation that my daughter had to walk her away from the staff at the counter. Although my pup doesn't have many years left, I will be looking for another vet closer to home who also values their customers! read more

They are always very patient with answering my questions and informing me of anything I need to know for my dogs shots and treatments. We used this vet for our dogs since we got them and have always had small issues over the past few years but we always just overlooked them and continued to go there because we wanted to keep consistency with our dogs. A week ago we made an appointment over the phone for one of our dogs for after she got groomed. When we made the appointment we explained that we moved really far away and wanted to her to see the vet the same day because she needed vaccines. They told us they put us down for the same day as the groom at 3pm and to check in with them when we got there to drop the dogs off at the groomers. When we checked in they said our dog didn't have an appointment that day and that they had us scheduled for a random day the next week. After driving an hour and a half for an appointment that we made and had confirmation for, they refused to see my dog because whoever scheduled it over the phone with us evidently put the appointment on the wrong day. Canceled my dogs plan and would never return to this hospital. read more

Dr.Foster is nothing short of amazing! She goes above and beyond to ensure our fur babies are taken care of with love & compassion! I have been beyond satisfied with every visit miss Maizy Grace has had at Banfield! All the staff there are so welcoming & passionate about their job, you can tell they genuinely care about the pets & familes as well! When Maizy got fixed Dr.Foster went out of her way to contact me before surgery to let me know she was doing well & about to go back next! She also worked with me on possible things that Maizy needed & how urgent they are and if I could wait on certain parts because I couldn't afford much, they put their health above all, while still making sure you can afford what needs to be done! They don't just rack up your bill and surprise you later, having to pay outrageous charges! That's another thing that I LOVE about Banfield!! Just the peace of mind that provides is amazing, she let me know maizys blooodwork looked great and they didn't anticipate any issues as she was over 6 lbs now, she was only 1.5 lbs on her first visit! Also during another visit I brought my daughter & she brought her little stuffed dog, they took FD, her puppy, back with them to get vaccinated while Maizy was getting her shots as well! They treated FD as a true patient & even took pictures for us while in the back! It was the sweetest thing EVER!! I can't express how thankful & beyond satisfied I am with all the staff here! I have recommended Banfield to many friends, especially since they offer the payment plans! Without this option I wouldn't be able to afford everything Maizy needed in order to be as healthy as possible! From the bottom of my heart I'm am forever grateful for their compassion! Only gave them a star bc I was forced to. This hospital is a disgrace to pet owners. My friend has a dog that was seriously injured and when she called to get the dog in the lady who answered was rude and extremely selfish. She refused the dog. My friend had a scheduled appt for later that day and the lady kept telling her she had to wait. Meanwhile the dogs back leg had been twisted up in a fence that we had to call 911 to have them come cut her out. The dog was in pain and crying out. She wouldn't even refer us to go to a different place. She only cared about personal gain for the business not for the pet and the family who was watching the pet suffer. I was scheduled to visit this location and join their plan but if the pet is not the priority then I'll spend my money where the pet is cared for. I hope that lady can sleep at night given the black in her heart for the way she treated the family and pet! read more
