Our first visit to Pinnacle was this past Thursday 5/16/19. I decided to bring all 3 pups all at once .. Absolutely abysmal service. I had to take my partner's cat in for a check up. The appt was changed from a Tuesday to Wednesday by them. So, with an 3:30pm appt, I did the school pick up at TC Robertson- right across the street- at 3:00pm. I proceeded to the office despite being 15 minutes early - really the only thing that made sense. They brought me into a room and I was interviewed by a vet tech. 40 minutes went by and I realized what time it was and went out to the entry and stated that my girlfriend would come by in about an hour to pick the cat up, but that I needed to leave. I was suffering from a migraine, had a kid in the car sitting alone in the parking lot, and had a 40 minute drive across town to take care of a multitude of other things that were waiting from me. Yes, I was early but at this point they were running way behind. The vet tech mumbled something and proceeded to wander up and down the hallway- doing what I'm not exactly sure. She briefly stopped back by the room I was in and I said: " Look, I'm not trying to be difficult, but I have a migraine and have a child also sitting in the car now for 45 minutes". She left again to do what..I'm not sure...but after another 5 minutes of this..I was done waiting and I went in to the back where I think she was talking with the Vet (instead of talking with me in the room) and I stated once again- "I'm leaving" and proceeded to walk out-very frustrated that I was seemingly having to wait for permission to leave. The same woman who I believe was the Vet followed me out saying: "excuse me sir, I think is some sort of a misunderstanding". I said no misunderstanding, I'm just not waiting any longer. She said your appt was for 3:30- at this point it was 4:05- and I said yes...and I've still waited for 50 minutes. She then said ironically- "we're doing the best we can" to which I replied: "As am I". At no point when I said I needed to leave did they say to me - the customer- I understand why you're wanting to leave you , or I'm so sorry that you're not feeling well, or I'm sorry that we're running behind, apparently according to them, because I was not willing to wait that I was being rude. The Vet we have in N Asheville (All pets) is such a stark difference in how they deal with you - the customer. If the Vet working there handles her practice with the same sort of casual disregard that she dealt with me...your pet is in very grave danger. We'll be moving all out pets immediately. read more

We had to take one of our fur kiddos in to get checked out. On this occasion we were seen by Dr Rebecca Bragg. This was our first experience seeing her. We were impressed by her kindness as well as down to earth and personable disposition. She looked over our "baby" gave us her analysis and recommendations, did a procedure and we were off. I brought my new puppy in for his first physical exam. The staff (who I am sure see tons of new puppies and their owners) were so excited for me and my puppy. They admired him and petted him and took his picture for their Facebook page. I am so grateful for the wonderful staff at PAH. Dr. Tim McMullan is exactly what I was needing in a vet since I have moved from my home. They worked my dog in on an emergency basis to treat her for her wounds from a dog attack. This is our second visit to PAH. Our 1st visit, they were helping me when my dog slipped out of her cone & collar in the parking lot, while also having my young child in tow. They had coloring books and stickers to help occupy my daughter while we were waiting for our appointment. Today, the 2nd visit, they worked us in and had my dog's laceration repaired quickly, cleaned her up and she's just her normal happy self! Dr. Tim McMullan is very personable and friendly with not only the clients, but his patients! Everyone there is very sweet and helped calmed my nerves while I was in distress over my poor pooch. Great with dogs! Not so great with my cat. She is pretty aggressive, so they sent us home with a sedative. We have her the sedative, they took her back, tried for about 5 minutes to tranquilize her so they could do her exam, then gave up and sent me home with more sedatives. I know she is less aggressive with me, but if I can shove three pills down her throat, shouldn't you be able to give her a shot? I shouldn't have to make two-three vet appointments, and cram pills down my cat's gullet every time just because you guys can't buy some leather gloves. Again, super great with my dog, which is why the 4 stars, but he's not aggressive so I'm not even sure how they do with any aggressive species. read more

Our Minature Schnauzer had started acting different so we decided to take her to Pinnacle Animal Hospital on the recommendation from one of our neighbors. Beware! All about the money!! I had been going to Pinnacle for about 2 years, always paying as I went. One day my dog got really sick throwing up and with blood in his stool. I took him to Pinnacle where they ordered tests including worms and blood work. I went out after seeing vet Dr. Tim and they gave me 2 medicines for him to take at home. They then came out and gave me a larger than expected bill that I couldn't cover. I told them I would pay what I had and give the rest as soon as I could. They got mad at me because I didn't tell the Dr. I only had 45.00 on me before he saw my dog, who knew and how would I know how much it was going to be. So, they took back one of the medicines from me and told me I had 2 weeks to pay. After calling back in a couple days to find out the results of the blood work they told me that they did not send it because I didn't have the money. So I applied to care credit which I received after applying and called to pay them. I realized my dog must not have needed the medicine they took back or the blood work ordered, that is must have been done to run my bill up they did tell me he had hook worms and let me keep that med. Even though I paid the bill they never sent the blood work. The manager girl was very indignant that I got what I deserved because I didn't tell them up front that I only had 45. This wasn't the 1st time I had problems with them but it is the last. I had them send my records for all my pets and would never go back. I think people need to be aware of the real way they treat clients. read more
