So they aren't my regular vet but I have nothing but good things to say about them! I had been in need of Hills K/D food for my cat who recently was diagnosed with kidney disease. well, my regular vet didn't get the shipment in when they were supposed to, so I went to petsmart and was told banefield would have it. what I forgot about was that it was a prescription. they checked in the back and gave me some donated cans of k/d to get me through the next day or so. The vets went above and beyond with trying to help my cat and me and they werent even my regular vet. these people care! 5 stars!!! read more

As a resident in the apartments where Banfield is located (Dresher) I can attest that the dogs are frequently allowed to bark for the majority of the day. I understand that some of them may be in cages before and or after procedures but frequently I will hear barking most (off and on but more on than off) of the day from the same dog. I spoke with someone by phone who (somewhat defensively) assured me that the dogs "were well cared for and walked as needed" but the continuous barking is not necessary, and reflects inadequate attention being paid to the dogs. Granted, the insulation between floors at the Promenade is substandard, but with concrete between the ground floor and the pet hospital, the residents should be able to hear minimal, if any barking. read more

I actually had a surprisingly positive experience at this Banfield location. I BRACED myself for a terrible experience knowing how aggressive Banfield can be with upselling and reading all the bad Yelp reviews. But they were the only ones open on the Monday after Christmas and we had an urgent situation with our dog who was in a lot of pain. From the time I called to ask if they could see us to the time I walked out with a treatment plan was a total of 1 hour. They saw us right away, examined the dog and addressed the issue, and dispensed the meds. The vet was very friendly and knowledgeable and the tech was very prompt and pleasant. I'm not sure I will come to Banfield for everyday care - that's a bridge too far - but I appreciated their help in this "urgent care" capacity. read more

I used to take my dog(Zelda) to the banfield in warminster but ended up canceling her wellness plan because I wasn't happy with the way they treated my very anxious dog. They labeled her an aggressive dog and even told me I had to wait for the lobby to clear before taking her out. Fast forward to last week. Zelda started getting really sick. Throwing up, blood in her stool, red spots all over her belly and open sores on her neck and back. We called around to different vets and Banfield had the earliest opening. I once again explained how Zelda was and how to treat her. I didnt have high hopes but I wanted her check out as soon as possible. I was blow away with how awesome it was. Dr. Carleigh Joan Melofchik sat with us for a half hour talking to us about what could be wrong but also allowed Zelda to get comfortable with her. Today we just got back from Zeldas check up appointment and the vet tech was on her game and it only took zelda a min to warm up and start cuddling and hugging the tech and doc. It was nice to not feel like we had an aggressive dog. read more

I've been using this location for a little over a year now and it's definitely been an up and down experience so far. While I enjoy the comprehensive plan and most of the staff are great , the physicians are hit or miss. The chief is great but the other physicians are not very skilled and/or are unprofessional. One will even dance around when they are knew they were wrong and wouldn't admit it. We took a dog in for vomiting and they were going to be keeping the dog for the day. The plan was to administer fluids and medicine for vomiting. It took forever for them to give the dog anything and All of a sudden they are testing for mites instead of administering medicine for vomiting. Next morning our dog experienced explosive diarrhea and was told to bring her back if she wasn't any better, so we did. The physician then ran a test that We never consented to, testing for pancreatitis. 4 hours after being there she finally received an IV, she never received medicine for diarrhea until we left and I asked. We finally go to pick her up and could tell she was kept in the cage all day because she immediately had diarrhea throughout the entire walk out the store. While being told our dog was fine, the dog obviously wasn't. This is when the dancing around begun. Luckily she's better now but be careful which physicians you chose. read more

It can be tough finding a trustworthy and honest vet these days but I have been nothing but impressed with this Banfield location!! The staff there are super helpful, and seem extremely compassionate towards the animals. I have come here on several occasions and they have always been super accommodating and treated both of my pups so well! Love this Banfield Pet Hospital of Willow Grove from the first call I made Michelle and Melissa are accommodating and pay close attention to details to insure the doctors are well informed on what your fur baby needs are. They also go out there way to answer questions or get questions answered you may have regarding your fur baby and follow up. Sire has been seen by his now primary Dr. Mia Lombardo and Dr. Matt Montresor they are fantastic with him and are very professional and attentive to both my furbaby (Sire) and myself. Know this Sire is a handful but they are wonderful with him courtesy and kind is an understatement. This is an A+ staff to me and are truly appreciated. read more

Brought my dog in for a checkup for an eye condition and refill of his eye drops but they gave me the wrong medicine. If the medicine they gave me hadn't been a cream I wouldn't have noticed and given him the wrong medicine. When I brought the bottle in it was explained to me that the bottles looked the same and it was just a mistake. Mistakes happen, I get it, but when it comes to medicine and health care professionals I have a higher standard of expectation and would hope that they are reading labels, not just going by what the bottle looks like. I will not be returning and strongly encourage anyone using Banfield to read everything. read more

We have used this hospital for 9 years for our dogs and cats. They've been through it all with us- puppies and kittens to having to euthanize our cats when the time came. All of the staff have always been kind and caring. We have gotten appointments when it was convenient for us and I have always felt that the staff were honest and fair. i called to make an appt for my sick cat and the girl on the phone was just plain rude to me. i asked if she had any appts for the following day.,. short notice i know..she says "nope".......................long pause. OKAY RUDE! i totally understand no appts were available but...have some manners-- like "is there anything else i can help you with?" nope. just a :nope;....i didn't like her attitude about it., i would never leave my cat here...imagine how rude they would be to the animals if she was that rude to me just over the phone. read more

There aren't many Banfield Hospitals with great reviews, therefore, I have struggled to find one that I feel provides excellent customer service and care for my pet. I tried this location because my current location closed. I can say that this location is just average. The lady at the front desk who checks in the pets and greets people could use some additional customer service/care training. She is very cold and makes inappropriate remarks to and about the pet parents. I witnessed her ask a lady to put her dog on the scale and then proceed to say "wooah" as if he were overweight. You could tell that it upset the lady but she didn't let it get to her. First impressions are really important, therefore, I think the hospital should reconsider who they have as the face of the location. All the other staff seem friendly and caring enough. After visiting, I can't say that my socks were blown off by the service. It was just okay. read more

I have had a great experience here so far. The staff are friendly and helpful. The packages keep you up to date on everything and the friendly phone call remiders are helpful. You have to wait just a little bit sometimes but the vet does takes her time and makes sure you understand everything before you leave. The hours are good if you need to go after work. read more

I don't know if I am just going at the wrong times now, but I use to feel that the staff was very friendly. Particularly one girl, who always had a chipper attitude and really seemed to love my dog. Recently though, I haven't felt the same "love" from the staff. Most times when I go to the desk there is no one there, one time there were 2 of us waiting at the desk for at least ten minutes with no one in sight. I also feel like appointments have been taking longer. I feel like we are waiting for long periods of time to see the vet or vet assistant. I know i usually have to make sure I have a couple of hours to spare if I am going to bring any of our animals to the vet. read more

The dog that was not diagnosed properly...Banfield incompetence...died last week. My heart is broken. To make matters worse,which I couldn't believe possible,when I called to remove my other 2 dogs from their service it cost me over $300. Then they want to know "if there is anything they can do?". Banfield is an"assembly line" process ...making money their first priority not our precious pets entrusted to their care. read more
