Our primary doctor is Dr. Becker and she is AMAZING! Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and sweet. When calling to make an appointment or ask a question, the staff on the phone are always so nice and very helpful. When we we are there for our appointments everyone makes us, and especially our fur babies feel at ease. They are all so personable. I have met all the doctors at different times when Dr. Becker wasn't available and every single one has a kind and warm approach and is so knowledgeable that you always feel your pups are in great hands. Last year was a tough one. We lost our sweet greyhound Lily and Dr. Hackanin was a gem. She was there when we needed to let Lily go and made the very sad situation more bearable. 3 months later we had to let our other greyhound Oliver (who was our sweet old soul) go. Dr. Becker was there for us and it meant so much. Two of the amazing staff members Jennifer and Meaghan made it a point to take time out to come and offer kind words during these very sad times. That meant so much. They have 2 offices which makes it very convenient to schedule appointments. We have been to several vets in the area and no one comes close to being like this wonderful practice. They are an amazing group of people, both doctors and staff, so dedicated to their clients and their fur babies. We are so grateful to them for every visit and appreciate every member of the team!

I've been a cat owner my entire life and so have been a client at a number of good vet offices over…read morethe years. I came to Stockton Vet a few years ago when I moved into the New Hope area. The place has something extra special that I've only now been able to identify after having to put down my kitty of 17 years. It's that they are not only superb doctors (and nurses and techs and office staff) to your pets, they are also compassionate and kind, empathic human beings to the pet owners as well. They consider not only your pet as their client, but you as well. Due to Covid-19, when it came time to put my sweet kitty to rest due to a tumor, I was not permitted in the building. Instead, Dr. Julia came outside to the picnic table in the back with the tools she needed as well as a box of tissues, and sat with me as I held my girl and cried as she was sedated. And we talked. And Dr. Julia remained with me as long as I needed. Just listening and lending support. A week or two later, I received a condolence card made of wildflower seeds with words of support from the entire staff. They didn't just sign their names. They offered words of condolence and messages that said "thanks for giving her such a wonderful life". These people are really special. Thinking back on the time when my other cat, Mr. Kitty was at the hospital for a urinary blockage and Dr. Charlie called me multiple times a day with updates on his condition and then arranged for his surgery with another vet who specialized in the surgery he needed, I can't help but feel that this group is extraordinary. Oh, and did I mention that a member of their staff adopted my friend's dog after she lost her battle with depression? Yeah, there's that, too.

Been using NHVH for the last year. Up until today I've only had positive experiences with my 4…read moredogs. My almost 14 year old Labrador has an ear issue that we were told requires surgery. Unfortunately we were not made aware of all the treatment options available. When my dog was diagnosed, we were told by Dr. JESSICA AUSTIN, that there were only 2 options for treatment. One was drainage ( I won't get into the details for people with a weak constitution) and the other was surgery. On the day of the surgery, my dogs bloodwork came back with concerning results. We were told that it was risky for an older dog who is slightly anemic to be sedated. This is when I learned about another option besides surgery. DR. Amanda Straining is the one you want to request when visiting NHVH. She is incredibly honest and explained that there was another option that did not require surgery and only costs a small fraction of what the surgery estimate was. Needless to say I was very upset that we were not told this by Dr. Jessica Austin. We were told that my dog needed surgery that could cost up to $4000.00. I can't speak to why we weren't told about this alternative option. All I can say is that it seems Dr. Austin is more motivated by $ rather than doing the right thing. It makes me concerned and upset that Dr. Austin was ok with putting a very old dog under anesthesia when an alternative treatment was available. Bottom line... Ask for Dr.Struening and run the other way if by chance you get Dr.Austin. This is the last place I ever thought I would review. I am a huge dog lover and we treat ours like family because that's what they are. When things like this happen, Ive learned to not be silent. I hope this review helps.

My cat has a UTI now - 2 weeks later- and I called to get an antibiotic for the cat. She insisted I bring the cat in to the office. I was unable and I asked for the Vet to call in an antibiotic for me. She said the vet that saw my cat was not in and the vet who was in would not call in an antibiotic since she didn't see the cat. She said the vet that did see my cat could not be contacted. I have spent between 2 dogs and a cat thousands and thousands of dollars at that vet. But they wouldn't give me medicine for my cat. Dont go there - they don't try and help you with a problem.

My dog can have issues so I wanted some assurance and if she had experience with other dogs who had behavioral issues, especially since recently my dog has been through a lot. The women who answered the phone said she would talk to Dr. Stahl and call me back the following day. She never did. When I called today, I was asking for more than what I could read online as she has amazing reviews but none of which I read about dogs who are anxious so I wanted a little more than if she can't preform the visit she won't and she might prescribed a sedative. The women on the phone who handles the scheduling was rude and hostile, and made me feel like I was an inconvenience because others needed to talk to her.. She started yelling at me during the conversation. Even when I asked why are you yelling at me. That is just not how you do business or making a sarcastic remark like I am not going to hand out names and numbers of her clients...never asked for that. I just think that a place that says that they care a ton about animals and is an animal lover would not be so unprofessional and hostile when an owner just wants to make sure it is the best for her dog.
