Wow, I love Bang Bang Body Arts, and I love my new tattoo! I only got my tattoo yesterday, so I can't speak yet to the longevity of the tattoo, but it looks better than I could have even hoped for. It's perfect. Hector took a special concept and turned it into life for me. At my request, he gave me a heads up when he changed steps during the process, which eased my mind. I will continue to recommend this place to any and everyone who will listen! My daughter turned four in September and would not stop asking to get her ears pierced. With her being four, and knowing I didn't want just anyone doing her first piercings, I did extensive research and chose Bang Bang. Our appointment was for 1:30 and we got there about 20 minutes early. It was a good thing we did, as it gave her some time to settle into the place. The owner, Tiffany was very kind with her and got to her level to speak with her. She helped my daughter choose her earrings and after that they were friends LOL. Jay pierced her ears and he was probably the best piercer I've dealt with thus far. He was EXTREMELY patient with her and everything I could have asked for with someone doing this for my child. When one ear was done (and the tears were falling..) he gave her some time to recoup and both he and Tiffany came back into the room with a juice box and a smiley face stress ball....two and a half months later and she's still playing with it! Jayo is awesome! If you're getting pierced here, just know it's a little pricey. I paid $183 (price including a 15% tip) for a second lobe piercing with basic metal studs. I was a little anxious, so I forgot to ask what the cost was, which was totally my fault. I hadn't expected it to be that much, so as I was paying, I had to quickly transfer some more money to my card on my phone. After I had paid and was about to leave, I heard the piercer ask the person who rang me up how much I paid, and she said, "$183 when she finally decided to pay." I know it sounds minor, but the tone it was said in made me feel pretty shitty. I'm trying to assume the best, though!! read more

So I don't have tattoos. I can't get them, but my friend wanted a tatt while she was out here visiting me and I agreed to go in because I was curious. Nicest dang people you'll ever meet, super attentive, they listen to what their customers want, and then deliver. They were really really nice to me too even though you can tell I clearly have never been in a tattoo parlor and offered me a drink while I waited. Updating after a little over a year of getting a tattoo here. I'm attaching two pictures: the first of the tattoo that I got here and the second a tattoo that is older and was done by a different artist in a different shop. I'm not sure if it's noticeable in the first picture but there is bleeding out happening there. This happens when an unskilled artist goes deeper than they should have. It isn't the quality it should be especially considering I paid more for this than the other piece with uniform and crisp lines. After reading through reviews they seem to have a pattern of hiring unskilled artists and then firing them after a lot of people complain but have already paid a significant amount for poor quality tattoos. This afternoon I popped into Bang Bang Body Art with a friend to buy a new nose ring. When we walked in we were warmly greeted and the staff was quick to assist us. After my friend picked out a nose ring the employee took her out back, threw it in and we were in and out the door in less than 5 minutes. I walked into this shop on a Saturday evening with 3 of my friends. We all got very simple tattoos that took no more than 20 minutes each. I did appreciate the artist cleanlines, although she did take extended time cleaning, probably to receive a higher rate. I paid $250 for a 20 minute tattoo that has little detail. The artist also told my friends it was $100 per hour which was a lie and charged them extra when we checked out. The owner was not transparrent or supportive through this experience. I would definitely not go back here and so won't my 3 friends. We we're excited to go there, but towards the end of it we were just happy to leave the place. read more

I asked for my deposit back and the owner Tiffany refused to give it back to me. Deposits are meant to hold your spot and if you cancel or no show then they keep the deposit for that spot. That's not what my situation was, if my tattoo artist is no longer working at your business then you absolutely should give the client back their deposit. July 2017- JayO: Had a dear friend visiting from the DC area and it came up that she'd always wanted her ears pierced since she was a little girl (now in her 50s) but was always too frightened. She was very curious about the process, so I walked her over to Bang Bang and stayed with her for moral support. I've known the group at Bang Bang for several years now and they are a great bunch of guys and gals, so they were my first choice. The place itself has a great look, is very clean and they had a nice selection of jewelry for her to choose from. JayO was very patient and understanding of her fear and explained the whole process to her. She decided to do it, and Jay was the consummate professional. Jay's "booth" was very clean and sanitary and you can tell he takes a lot of pride in his work. The piercing went beautifully and I cannot describe how thrilled my friend was at her new earrings. August 2017- JayO: Had my cousin visiting from Italy for the month of August and on her bucket list of things to do while she was here were a tattoo and naval piercing. As she speaks almost no English I facilitated both the tattoo and piercing. JayO pierced my cousin and again couldn't have been more professional. This place absolutely botched my ear. I went in to get a conch piercing (piercing on the ear for those who don't know) and they messed it up very bad. First off they offered me to pierce it with a hoop which is a huge mistake and not a good idea. I said yes to the hoop and it quickly got infected. the piercing was refusing to heal. I tried everything to get it to heal, drs appt, saline, salt water rinse, warm compression. Everything and nothing worked. I got the hoop changed to a stud with hope it will heal better and that's when i noticed the placement of the piercing, it was placed so low on my ear it was not even visible. What's the point of that... I recently went to a reputable shop and they were amazed at the placement and angle of the conch i got at Bang bang. The piercer told me the piercer did it at the thickest part of my ear and way too low, she said it's no surprise it did not heal. Bang bang offered me a free piercing but i'd still have to pay for the jewelry.... No thanks. Got the conch redone in the right place 3 weeks ago and i've had problem what so ever. I also have a helix which healed beautifully and i have never had an issue with it, i've had it for 4 years so i know it was the piercer who did not do his job correctly. Not me or my cleaning attempts. It now looks beautiful from the new place i went to and i'm so happy. Do not get pierced here, they clearly have no idea what they're doing. read more

Everyone at Bang Bang, especially Jay the piercer, has been AMAZING. I originally went in because I had gone to another local shop asking for a piercing with an old piece of jewelry that they could sterilize, which they'd done for friends in the past. The other place was very rude to me and I went into Bang Bang looking for a different (or just more logical) answer. Jay calmly explained why there was no problem with sterilizing it but that the jewelry itself wouldn't be the best fit. Because he could see that I was stressed out by the whole thing, he gave me a free new piece of jewelry that would work better and offered to switch it out for the piece I love at a later date. When it got infected (no fault of his own), Jay was incredibly patient, taking at least one call or walk-in from me per week for almost a month. He's given amazing advice and switched out the jewelry again (for free), which finally helped it heal. While most of my interactions have been with Jay, I've spoken briefly to two others at the studio, both of whom were incredibly welcoming / helpful. I can't say enough good things about Bang Bang. This is my seventh piercing across five studios, and Bang Bang is hands-down my favorite. read more

We had gone to Haven Body Arts with an appointment to get my daughter's nose pierced but they refused to serve us because we didn't have our vaccination cards on us. Well, keep in mind this is about the piercing and not tattooing part of this shop, and that I have had many piercing experienced in the valley. But unfortunately I had a terrible time being refitted for my nose ring. While the original piercer was fluid and fast, when I returned the other piercer did not have strong enough hands to fulfill the task of closing the ring. She yanked and pulled so hard that my eyes were endlessly watering. Eventually she used a tool and over shot it, bending the gold too much. Now I'm stuck with a piece of jewelry that is warped, and I constantly have to bend to keep the ends together. There's so many shops in the valley, so I guess I'll go elsewhere next time. read more

He has the skills, experience, tools and personality. If you're anxious he knows how to calm you down and gently guide you through the whole process. Personally, I really wanted and was ready for my daith piercing. I wasn't anxious. It didn't hurt. It felt like a hard pinch and I didn't bleed at all. I got my daith because I have two headache disorders I take meds for 2x/day and I suffer from anxiety. I just got my daith yesterday and I still have some nerve pain from my trigeminal neuralgia but I already feel calmer and more relaxed. While I was getting my daith I figured I might as well have JayO either open or re-pierce my right 2nd lobe hole. It was closed but he didn't charge me to re-pierce it. I also pierced a 3rd lobe hole on the left. He read my mind and chose tiny czs for me. Please note that JayO and Bang Bang only use their own jewelry which is sterile implant grade titanium for your initial piercing. You want this because it decreases your healing time and any chance of infection. Later you can chose to either buy a piece of jewelry from their vast collection or bring your own jewelry in and they'll sterilize it and change it for you. Tiffany didn't charge me for the wound wash. She told me to call if I had any questions or to just walk in. If you want a piercing I highly recommend Bang Bang Body Arts because they treat you with love like you're part of the family. read more

Bang Bang is awesome. I walked in on a Monday night and requested to have my nose pierced, something I'd had done before but removed because the jewelery used was annoying and I had concerns about finding a job with it. The guy at the counter was super friendly, and showed me the body jewelery while we waited for the artist to be freed up. They have interchangable nostril jewelery that you can go and purchase a new jewel for before the healing period is over, so long as they change it there. I got Michelle as my piercer, and she was great. She chatted with me beforehand which helped put me at ease (I don't like needles) and explained exactly what she was doing. It was over in moments, and she gave me a thorough rundown on how to keep the piercing clean. It's been two days, and it doesn't even hurt. The starter jewlery they use is of amazing quality- she eyeballed the length of my nose and gave me a shorter bar which I can't even feel. After having an overly long corkscrew from the place I got pierced in SC, it's amazing how the piercing isn't annoying at all this time around from it poking the inside of my nose.
