Honestly, the cookies were pretty good. I had the sea salt chocolate chip, cookies & cream, triple chocolate, smore, and red velvet. My favorite was the smore and cookies and cream. They were really good and not too sweet. But the service was HORRIBLE when I went on July 2 around 3 pm. First of all, I was the only one inside with my partner. There was no greeting when I entered. I told the lady my order and looked at her. She looked at me and said "what did you say?" That totally made me livid. Is she like sleeping with her eyes open when a customer came in? I came here while walking around in the mall and wasn't the biggest fan of their cookies. The interior of this shop is a grab-and-go (there's no seating), but they have samples for you to try! These cookies are so yummy! My favourite was oatmeal raisin and the cinnamon is nice and potent without being overwhelming. I thought the chocolate chip cookie was too sweet, but that's more my problem than theirs. It's a very heavy cookie, so it's quite satisfying. The double chocolate is not aa sweet, so the slight bitterness helps balance the sweetness of the cookie and it's pretty delightful. The staff are hardworking and jovial. Sometimes they stand outside the shop with a giant sheet tray handing out free cookie samples (think: small slices of the cookie about 5cm/2in long) and it's just enough to be moreish and make you want to buy them. They're right next to the mall entrance, so it's a great opportunity to try out the new place and I have actually seen a man put his hands on his knees, spin, and then go back for seconds! Walked into City Point and saw this new store tucked right by the entrance on the first floor. There was a long line as well, so I was curious about it. There is no seating as it's a small place, just meant to be a quick snack pick-me-up. I wanted to try their mini cookies but they were all sold out by the afternoon so I opted for the giant cookie deal instead ($20 - buy 4 cookies get an additional cookie). I bought peanut butter chocolate, s'mores, oatmeal raisin, white chocolate macadamia. They all tasted good but I definitely enjoyed the s'mores and peanut butter choco the most. My mom enjoyed her white choco macadamia the most. FYI, these cookies lean more towards the crunchy side and is not as overwhelmingly sweet as most cookie places. Just a tip, I brought an extra peanut butter cookie home and heated it up for around ~30-40 seconds and it also tasted good warm/soft too. read more

My curiosity took me to this place while shopping within the City Point mall. I'm a big fan of cookies and thought given that it's the holidays I'll treat myself to a little bit of sweet. Enthusiastic was how I entered this experience and disappointed was how I left it. I purchased three cookies each costing $4.95 each. I ordered the large macadamian, the large s'mores, and a large chocolate chip. For some reason my receipt says three caramel sea salt cookies. Apparently they gave me the wrong receipt. Nonetheless my total for three cookies were $16.17 with tax. Pretty expensive if you ask me but guessing that it would be out of this world cookies I figured this shouldn't be a problem. To my surprise these cookies were not as soft as they appeared. Perhaps they were over baked I'm not sure but I was expecting soft chewy cookies but they were more crunchy than anything. Flavor wasn't bad but I felt there were nothing to write home about and they were not worth $4.95 each. I much rather Insomnia Cookies. The service has been good overall--my best experience was my first visit. The employee (I wish I got his name) was really helpful. He told me to ask he which cookie just came out of the oven (it was the caramel chocolate chip cookie). He also suggested I try one of their iced lattes. When I went the first time, it was around 7 pm--I generally don't drink coffee drinks that late, but at 2.99, I figure, why not. They have different milk options at no extra cost and different flavors. Where can you get an iced latte for 2.99? Bang Cookies is located in the Dekalb food hall/City Point. I order the 4 giant cookie deal and it came with 1 free one. I got a chocolate chip cookie, a caramel chocolate chip cookie, a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie, a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie, and a cookie and cream cookie--and let me tell ya, they were all great! One time I was at a party and someone brought cookies. I had never heard of bang cookies before but they were good! Fast forward while I am walking through City Point, I notice there is a sign for the establishment. And now I can say it is finally open as of Saturday before this post. This store is less about having a space to eat and chill with friends and more so about grabbing a quick treat to go or getting a box to share with loved ones. That is evident by the fact there are no seats inside. Because it is very new, there were items that were not available when I went. There were no mini cookies, there were no brownies or ice cream to go with the cookies for an ice cream sandwich. What they did have were cookies and with different flavors. Because this is just after Christmas and I have leftovers, I decided to get one cookie. I was debating the s'mores because their design was fascinating but I went for the snickerchurro especially after I asked the person at the register what it is. It has cinnamon, brown sugar and is stuffed with dulce de leches. I took it because of the options available, it was the most unique. What I liked is that they had deals where if you bought X amount of cookies they gave you a little bit extra. And the people at the counter were kind when guiding someone on their order. The cookie was good and definitely had a lot of dulce de leche. It was thin and crispy and it didn't ooze with the stuffing when I bit into it which is ideal if you eat it on the go. It is not warmed up like Insomnia and it wasn't too gooey like Crumbl which could be a deal breaker for some people. In addition, they have rotating flavors and this time it was chocolate thickmint. Overall I think it is a cute option for being separate from the food hall downstairs and very close to one of the main doors of the mall. read more

I was excited to see a Jersey City favorite come to Brooklyn, but I had a weird and negative experience at Bang Cookies. While I was waiting for the cashier, I took a photo of the cookies in the display--pointing my phone down. The cashier comes over and asks "were you recording me?" I told her "no, I was just taking a picture of the cookies." She then proceeds to go on about how she doesn't like being recorded. I reiterate that "I literally have no reason to record you. I was just taking a picture of the cookies." I even showed her the photo I took. She didn't applogize, she just mumbled about people recording. Needless to say, I won't be back. This is NYC. I get that people are always recording and making content, but if you're paranoid to the point of irrational accusation, maybe don't work at a viral cookie shop? & to top it off, the cookies didn't even taste fresh. They taste mass produced. The chocolate chip was not good, it could've used more salt to balance out the milk chocolate chips.
