Location is cute. Cookie is good. Service was good. If you are a local, it seems like a great spot for a cupcake. Stumbled in here accidentally when looking for a coffee shop. It was very enjoyable.

I walked into this bakery after hours to pick up my order and was greeted by Louis. He did not seem annoyed nor did he rush me out, the vibe was very pleasant and homegrown like. The cookie was great and the cupcakes were even better. Louis even threw in an extra cupcake for me. Great overall experience, great service. This little shop in Brooklyn is a must visit in order to cure your sweet tooth.

I dont really like cupcakes but I was intrigued by the matcha and ube flavors. I tried them and they were pretty good! The buttercream is rich (surprisingly thick!) and the flavor of the matcha cream isn't strong, just about right. The cake itself is super moist which was delicious. I do think the cake to buttercream ratio was unbalanced and the price point for the size is pretty high so it's something I'd get every now and then to treat myself. I also tried it via Too Good to Go and cupcake tasted stale and hard, nothing like when I paid full price. It makes sense why the texture was off -whole point of too good to go is to consume food before it expires. I don't recommend getting it through Too Good to Go and, if you do, it won't be a good indicator of the quality. With that being said, this was the first time I've ever tried baked goods that were noticeably stale through that app -I get baked foods often and other places seem to give it away right before it goes stale. Overall recommend the matcha cupcake as a treat!

Bakery on Bergen is my go-to spot for all yummy treats in BK! My go-to's are strawberry, Funfetti, and vanilla cupcakes with Buttercream Frosting cupcakes. When I'm feeling cookie a vibe, the smore cookie is a whole vibe! Akim and her team are so welcoming that you might find yourself staying and hanging for a while.

Cute bakery with lovely owner and really good empanadas! Woman owned & POC owned. Look forward to checking it out again and trying the sweets.

I noticed this new bakery in the neighborhood a few years ago. I kept saying I needed to try it out, but I was committed to another bakery giving me all the extra sugar I don't need. One day I had a crazy cookie craving...it happens every so often. I didn't want cookies from the grocery store...but the just baked, right out the oven type cookie. The cookie that's big enough that you only need one, but your fat ass decided to have two... yeah that cookie. Anywho, I decided to walk in and hoped they had more than just cupcakes...and they did!!! First let's start with how cute the place is. The decor just screams hallmark movie cutesy bakery is the best way! It's not super big or small... it's cozy. When looking over the menu on the wall, which has cupcakes, cookies, and cakes, the woman behind the counter told me to sample their chocolate chip sea salt cookie. I don't liked to be ordered around, but when you say sample the cookie... I sample the cookie. Biggest mistake ever! I fell in love with a darn cookie!!! I know people do the chocolate sea salt combo on a lot of things, but this cookie was EVERYTHING!!! It had the right amount of sea salt, that it didn't overwhelm the chocolate part of the cookie. It was baked just right... the right sweet and salty combo. Soooo... I got two cookies. Darn that sample!

I came here on Saturday and I must say I really enjoyed it. I purchased the blueberry cupcake. The owner was very nice and patient because I had no idea what to purchase. I would definitely be back to try other items. The cupcake was fresh and had real blueberries. The butter cream had the perfect consistency. Overall I believe this place is great.

We started by learning how to make Chicken Marsala, then moved into pasta making (my favorite part). After that, we learned how to make fresh mozzarella, and finally ended the night with dessert: tiramisu. The entire experience was so fun and interactive. I especially appreciated how knowledgeable Chef Alex was about everything we were making. When I asked about the type of pan she was using and why, she gave such a detailed and thoughtful explanation, which I really appreciated. By then, we had definitely worked up an appetite! We started dinner with a delicious salad and focaccia bread, followed by pesto fettuccine made from the pasta we created ourselves. Then came Chicken Marsala with mushrooms, and ricotta-stuffed ravioli in red sauce, also handmade by us. One of the best parts of the night was the atmosphere. Cooking, eating, and learning alongside people you've never met before somehow felt so natural and welcoming. You genuinely leave feeling like you made new friends. If I had one honest critique, I do wish there had been more opportunity to personally season some of the dishes to taste, as I felt parts of the meal were a little bland for my preference. I also personally prefer softer pasta over a firmer al dente texture. That said, I completely understood why the pasta had that texture since we didn't have much time for the dough to fully rest and develop. I also think some light Italian jazz music playing in the background would have elevated the atmosphere even more and really taken the experience to another level. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would absolutely take another class. It's definitely worth it for the experience, the knowledge you gain, and of course... dinner! Also, we got home (with our left overs) and finally had the tiramisu... and WOW. It was soooo delicious. The ravioli and tiramisu were definitely the stars of the show for me!

If you would have told me that I would be doing a cooking class this summer on Instagram, I would not have believed you. Now, I would recommend bookmarking the summer series, Baking With Our Buds. If you miss an "episode", you could still follow the recipes that are posted on their Instagram. Crepes have always seemed exacting to me. Danielle and Lily were the perfect team to learn how to cook a family recipe that we all successfully muddled through together. Loved how the chefs on the "call" gave helpful baking tips along the way. Helpful Hints- Whisk the eggs, milk and water, then add the melted butter Whisk the flour, sugar and a pinch of sea salt Slowly add the dry ingredients by 1/3 increments to the wet ingredients and continue to whisk Add the beer, watch it bubble and the wait an hour for the magic to happen The batter will be thin Butter your pan Use a ladle to pour the batter onto a hot skillet Have fun with sweet or savory fillings. We did a combination of both. Mushrooms, broccoli, arugula and havarti or arugula, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and a fried egg were the favorite savory options. Nutella and banana or grilled peaches, blueberries and ricotta with powdered sugar were the dessert top choices in our home kitchen. Would be great with Brie and apples or a smoked salmon combination as well. The combinations are endless. Merci to Danielle and Lily at Michel et Augustin for a delicious, healthy summer meal. Can't wait to bake with you again and good luck with the nationwide launch of your cookies into the Whole Foods Markets. Bon Appetit!

Everything was packaged neatly, with the curry in a separate container from the rice and katsu. P.CURRY RICE BOWL (PORK KATSU) - 17.50 The pork katsu cutlet was still pretty crispy by the time we started eating, and the pork was nice and thick, although it wasn't particularly juicy or tender. I'm very glad that the curry was in a separate container -- not because it would have made everything soggy, but because it was so salty. By the end, I barely made a dent in the curry. The katsu curry isn't exceptional, but it gets the job done. We were just looking for something quick and nearby, and Chef Katsu Brooklyn was only a 10-minute walk away, so it served its purpose.
