Panang Curry
Lollos G.

I came in and ordered 3 dishes. Bangkok Spring Rolls, Panang Curry, and Tom Kha soup. The Bangkok spring rolls are the same thing as summer rolls at other thai restaurants. This place is unique from my previous experience in that they used cilantro instead of mint leaves. It was unique and I like trying new things. The peanut sauce which came with it was not that great. It didn't have enough peanut flavor and it was too thin. I assume both issues are caused by the same thing. The parang Curry came and had a good spice level, however it too was thin. This makes dipping the sticky rice less enjoyable. It also had green beans which is unique, but that may be due to the produce of the area it's in. I didn't like it, but I won't fault them for it. This just wasn't my favorite dish. The Tom Kha was the disaster. It is my understanding that Tom Kha is tom yum with coconut milk. As can be seen from the photo, the tom kha emulsion broke and lead to a dirty flavorless broth. On top of that, the mushrooms in the soup had a boiled flavor. Mushroom taste better when they are cooked before adding the broth. This tasted like something that someone learning to cook will make. That's OK at home, but not acceptable for a chef to send out to a paying customer. Some good things are the environment and the service. It's a nice restaurant with a nice staff, however the food wasn't enough to encourage my return.

I have not been here previously, or even to this part of town previously. Who goes to West Monroe Louisiana for Thai food? Apparently, I do. The restaurant is very empty on a Tuesday at 730p. I had Pad Thai ala West Monroe and a glass of water for dinner. The Pad Thai was surprisingly good. Above average. I would eat it again. However, the drinking water was outright disgusting. I couldn't drink more than about an ounce or two. I'm not picky. I'll drink water out of any tap. But this water tasted terrible. I wonder if the glass itself somehow fouled it. It was made of plastic. First time in my life that I have written I will not return to a place because the drinking water is horrible. Weird. However, I would order take takeout and take the food back to my hotel next time I'm in town

Green curry and jalapeno poppers, both were delicious!

Good food and decent service! Went here with partner and we ordered the jalapeno poppers, green curry, and sushi. Everything was delicious! One star was taken off due to finding a fork underneath the table when we arrived, which didn't reflect too well on cleanliness but everything else was great!

Staff was very courteous and helpful. Food was great for the area. I wish I'd have known about it sooner rather than later!

My Pad Thai lack spiciness eventhough I asked for spicy but it's ok bc my wonderful waitress was always checking on us and got we needed. My friend had the seafood veggies noodle and she enjoyed it . My Thai Tea was really good. You will be surprised, some restaurant can mess it up.

I travel for a living and I try to find Thai wherever I'm at... this ranks highly among the best I have ever had.

Awesome spring rolls and sauces. Pad Thai was mild even when ordering "spicy ". Don't be afraid to kick it up a notch.

Food is great. I'd order it to go because they don't have enough help to keep tables clean and to properly service their customers.

My husband been here few times before and said this place is good so it is my turn to try out. This…read morerestaurant is Laos/Thai but lean more to Laos style since the owner is Laos. It was late and we just wanted some Asian foods the last minute so we ordered a lot. We got: - Calamari tempura: Crispy, but a little too chewy and batter to somehow taste like onion. But still good with the spicy mayo. - Spicy Tuna: got as accommodation and surprisingly the best of the night. The perfect combination, crispy fried wonton, spicy tuna, avocado and sliced onion. So gooood. - Tom Kha: I usually would order Tom Yum but that night I was craving something creamy, so I got Tom Kha with seafoods. They loaded that thing up with a lot of meats. Wr did ordered Thai Spicy level but it is basically just level 1 to us, we didn't send back because it was late and we don't want to bother them. If you could it spicy go ahead and try Thai spicy level. - Beef Panang: They again loaded that thing up with a lot of beef. Flavor and creamy. You also can try Thai hot with this one. - Spicy Kani Rolls: Come with 8 pieces (but my husband ate 2 lol). A decent sushi rolls, good that we tried. Everything was good, the owner and staff were super nice and friendly. They also have a lot more of different varieties, definitely comeback and try more.

I also wanted to try the mango with sticky rice, but they did not have it available. It is likely a seasonal item. However, I will not be returning to this restaurant. When I arrived to pick up my food, I discovered they add a mandatory 15% automatic gratuity to all takeout orders. This unexpected fee was not made clear upfront. While the food is decent, forcing a tip on a carryout order without prior warning is a policy I cannot support.
