Greeting from two Houston Foodies! In town visiting family, we were looking for some dinner. Restaurant is small but clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered Beef Pad Thai and Beef & Vegetables with rice. Unfortunately, our dishes weren't to our liking. Noodles were spaghetti and needed more seasoning and vegetables (not just cabbage). My husband ate my dish of beef and vegetables because he was extremely hungry. However, I would encourage dinners with a more American taste buds to give it try. read more

I ordered takeout this week and everything was delicious! Our order included the hot and sour soup, pad woon sen, and medium chicken pad Thai. The servings were huge, the flavors were great, the food was hot, and the service was incredibly friendly. As mentioned in other reviews, the prices are very fair. Years ago, I lived in an apartment close by and ate at Bangkok about once a month. I remember the food wasn't always 5 star quality (sometimes it would be 3-4 stars instead), but it's always good. I'll be adding this restaurant back to my Lubbock favorites list. Added perk: Thai Pepper is closed on the weekends, but Bangkok is not! read more

Some of the dishes here are amazing. Number 25 or what's in the photo, was soo good I had to go back to get it. I would've given this place a 5 star but I got some fried rice from here and I literally couldn't eat it. I'd say stick to the Thai stuff and it should be great. Service was nice, drive through is a little small so if you have a big truck maybe just dine in. The actually restaurant doesn't look the greatest, but the food more than makes up for it read more

Prices are not bad AT ALL for how much food costs. Server was nice and greeted me when I started my order. Restaurant is a bit of a hole in the wall, music is nice volume, booths are clean. I ordered the yum won sen. Nice lime and cilantro flavor and medium is definitely not watered down in heat and spice. You can order mild, medium, or hot. I wasn't impressed with the Bangkok rolls, not worth the money. All in all, not a bad first trip here. Will order something different next time I'm in the area for lunch. read more

I genuinely have never had such a dry and flavorless pad Thai. I normally don't leave reviews. I've been here before and eaten their pad see ew and was pretty tasty so I'm baffled that there's no taste, the noodles are dry, and the only get a vague taste of "pad Thai" as if the flavor was an after thought. This place is a hidden gem in Lubbock! Don't expect fancy, but very low key family own traditional Thai place. The food was amazing! very fresh, tasty and well portioned. We shared the chicken noodle soup and pad Thai and took some home. It's self service, you order from the counter and they will bring it to the table. Very affordable for the quality and quantity of the food. The place is on the small side, it has about 4 booth and 5 or so tables, so it gets busy pretty easily. It wasn't the nicest looking place but it always seemed packed so we gave it a try. We got 2 different entrees and the Bangkok rolls. It was honestly nothing spectacular. Prices were cheap for the amount of food. I went to the bathroom before we left and that was my biggest mistake and what probably sealed my fate of never returning. Bathroom was filthy and smelled AWFUL, considering it's in the kitchen was concerning. I gagged the whole time I was in there and we had to leave the restaurant. My daughters and I have loved Bangkok since they were tiny littles, and it's still a staple for us if we order out. The quality and taste of food has never wavered in the 10 years we have been ordering food for pickup. Everything is simply delicious, and anyways hot, fresh and consistently perfect. We have our favorites, but everything we have tried is amazing and the variety is huge. The Thai tea is sinfully good. Staff has always been kind, prompt, and courteous. We usually call an order in and pickup at the drive through window, and it's super convenient and kinda funny bc the quality of food is a million times better than any fast food. The dining room feels homey and quaint, like your grandma's kitchen, and the food the tiny kitchen produces is always perfect. Bangkok is awesome. So happy to have such a wonderful and worldly restaurant in lubbock. read more

Food is super good and quick and cheap. I've gone before and after Covid and still, it's great Thai food. The inside isn't beautiful, but the food is authentic and, again, great. If you order through their drive through you will order and then drive around the building if there are other cars in the line (generally there will be), so don't be too surprised if they ask you to circle around! read more
