Atmosphere: Driving up to this place, it's cute on the outside with plenty of parking. It is super cozy inside and very cute. They seated up right by the desk and the pick up window for the kitchen. But the whole reason this review is 4 stars (cause the food is definitely a 5) is our waiter, Bryan. He was just very unpleasant and rude. There was even one point where I was trying to tell him what kind of boxes I wanted and he straight up cut me off and walked away. He was very nice at first but that lasted about 5 minutes. Aside from bringing our food, he didn't check on us ONCE! He didn't refill our waters (my fiancé was completely out and I had a few sips left mostly because my fiancé had to start sharing mine). He was also just...weird. Just very poor service because of him. The lady host was very pleasant. Food: I could go on and on about this food. We started off with the chicken satay and crab Rangoon. The chicken satay was PHENOMENAL I never saw chicken satay come with a side of cucumber vinegarette but I'm telling you, it works and it was phenomenal and the peanut sauce was spectacular as well. The crab Rangoon was nice and crispy and filled to the brim. You can tell this is REAL crab Rangoon with chunks of REAL crab in it. For our main courses, I got the beef pho and Kayla got the teriyaki chicken. When I say the beef pho was huge I mean HUGE! Bigger than my head, the bowl was the width of soccer ball. It was delicious but let's talk about that chicken teriyaki. Definitely the best teriyaki I've ever had (I had a few bites). Kayla and I ate that the next day for lunch too. Then for dessert, we got the fried bananas. I'm not a fan of bananas so this was all on Kayla. She loved them. Overall: this is definitely are new go-to spot. We can't wait to work our way through the menu and try everything. We just hope Bryan isn't our server. read more

We are in the area for a month and have been trying all sorts of wonderful restaurants nearby. By far, Bangkok Thai is our favorite. We have been there a couple of times in the last two weeks. Our server Bryan was absolutely outstanding. Totally competent, attentive without being cloying, and helpful, he had some good recommendations for both food and tourist attractions. He had just the right amount of humor and lots of care to share. Pleasant and efficient, he's our guy and we ask for his station whenever we stop in. We have become hung up on their Orange Beef. It's never appealed to us before at home. But let me tell you, it is absolutely outstanding. Nice large pieces of beef inside a crispy coating cooked just right in a sauce that is not overly sweet or candied-tasting. Just plain delicious! We have that every time we go and it's been consistent and extremely flavorful. We also tried the Green Emerald Curry Dinner Special. We loved it! It's a little bit spicier than others (3 peppers!) but we like that. The Spicy Peanut Curry was just wonderfully seasoned and so, so flavorful. The sauce was silky and smooth, and the ingredients were crisp and fresh. All of the sauces were seasoned just right. Each order had a good amount of sauce without drowning our food. One of the best parts of the meal which we got every time we went was the appetizer, the Fresh Basil Rolls with cukes, vermicelli, carrots, lettuce, and, of course, basil. We had shrimp once, and pork once. Both were exceptional. The portion sizes at Bangkok Thai are huge. We eat half of what we order and take home the rest for dinner the next night. You won't go hungry and your wallet won't be emptied on the way out either. Very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. From the outside, the Bangkok Thai does not look like a 5 star restaurant. But you don't want a place that worries more about how it looks than the quality of the food it provides. Don't be fooled and just step inside. It's comfortable, and it's pleasant and warm and you'll miss out if you don't try it. We will be going back a couple more times before we leave for home. I picked up an order of sesame chicken today on the way home to go, as we were too busy to cook. It was only a few bucks more than a combo meal from a fast food restaurant. It was delicious, and the rice was very good. The portion size was so generous that there was enough for my wife to have a full meal too. The staff was very friendly when I went in to pick it up too. We were driving from Ohio to Michigan and stopped by for lunch. This exterior looks like a house. They have free private parking space, which is always a plus. The interior is very nice. It's spacious and nicely decorated with clean color pallete. I think it will also be a very nice place for casual dinner. The menu is not limited to Thai food but also some Chinese and even pho. We ordered Green Emerald curry with tofu and the three flavor fish. Food takes a long while to come out, maybe because it was a busy afternoon so we grew really hungry. Thankfully they are generous with the portion to serve our appetite. The green curry is mild in flavor and was very creamy. It's fragrant of basil too. The vegetables were tender and the sauce goes well with rice. The fish was huge in portion, perfect for sharing between 2 people (or even 3-4 if you share other mains as well). The sauce is savory with a little bit of tang and sweetness. The batter is not as crunchy as you would see in fish & chips, but I think it actually suits the dish better as you're going to drench it in sauce anyway. It's not greasy. For the quality and quantity, I think the price is very good. read more

We popped on here on a whim - everywhere Mexican was slammed on Cinco de Mayo so we decided to try Thai instead. So glad we stumbled upon this gem. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but the inside of Bangkok Thai is inviting, incredibly clean, and cozy. I immediately noticed that a group of Thai women were enjoying dinner here - that says a lot to me. With so many options, we decided on a house salad and the spicy grilled steak salad to start. Both were phenomenal. The steak was thin and cooked completely with a cilantro dressing and onions that complemented the meat well. The ginger dressing on the house salad was pure perfection. For dinner, I had the spicy peanut curry with chicken and my husband had the spicy seafood soup. His bowl of soup was huge with large pieces of seafood. He claimed that the broth was delicious and he could have just eaten an entire bowl of that. My curry was phenomenal as well - quite spicy but I was told that they could add more coconut milk next time to help dilute the spice level if needed. Honestly, although it was pretty spicy, the flavor was wonderful and the portion size was huge. All of this, plus two sodas only cost us $50. Our server, Brian, was polite, attentive, and very friendly. We will 100% come back here. It was a great experience. read more

We have been having the seafood soup (a little spicy but really good!), and each time you have some new/different ingredients in there. It is a little pricey but still reasonable. The Thai tea is great. But the noodles are oily; they use MSG in most dishes; if you order a dish without meat, they say, "oh, so with vegetables?" & add in all these extra items that are * not listed as ingredients in the dish on the menu, * like red and green peppers and baby corn, all of which I dislike. It just doesn't taste that good, or authentic, or healthy, like a good Thai restaurant should. It's also overpriced. And dark inside. Always crowded. And they don't put chopsticks in the bag. read more

Tonight we thought, let's order from one of the top rated restaurants in the Stow/MF area according to Yelp. We ordered General Tso's Chicken and Sesame Chicken takeout from Bangkok Thai. Pretty standard orders we thought. And each came "garnished" with broccoli. I understand what garnished means for meals, but each meal of takeout contained the very generous amount of 3 pieces of steamed broccoli. THREE!! Really?? For $13 I would expect more vegetables even if that sacrifices pieces of chicken. At least their competitors in Stow abide by this concept. The food was decent, but it wasn't great. The flavor Sesame Chicken was just ok. The Tso's had a nice heat to it, but again, having more vegetable would have been a good flavor contrast. The garnish of broccoli though? Completely my opinion obviously, but I find it almost insulting. read more

So this is no longer a Mediterranean/Asian place like my previous review was for, although the name is the same. We wanted to try the Thai only update if this restaurant, and it certainly didn't disappoint. If I'm being completely honest, I just finished my meal a few minutes ago, and I'm stuffed to the brim, but might go back and lick my plate. It was that delicious. We got a takeout order, so I'm not sure if the interior has changed at all, and honestly don't remember what it was like in there before. I also can't speak to the service, since we used Door Dash. But I can tell you about the food. Yellow Curry- Oh man, so good. Huge chunks of chicken, veggie and potato in a super sweet but also spicy milky curry sauce. Just the right amount of spice (1 pepper on the menu). I tasted the kick, but it didn't kick my butt. I'd order it again in a heartbeat. Probably my favorite of the 3 curries Ive had. I think it's the potatoes. Drunken Noodles- I honestly don't know which dish I liked more, the curry, or the noodles. This had a lot of distinct flavor compared to a boring old stir fry or lo mein. It was the perfect amount of spicy. The noodles stick together a bit, outside of that, it was bomb. Emerald Green Curry- This is one of their level 2 spicy dishes. It was definitely spicier than the level 1's. Almost too spicy, but not quite there. My lips are a little tingly as I wrote this. I love how something so sweet can have such a kick. Red Curry Noodle Bowl- I got shrimp, and I think it's the best meat choice here. This was really tasty, and a bit spicy. I think I like the red curry with rice instead of the noodles though. Tom Yum- I've never had this before, so have nothing to compare it to. But I really liked it. I was worried it would just be a boring broth, but the flavor was great. We got chicken fried rice & yellow curry with tofu. Im obsessed and can't wait to get it again. The only thing I didn't really like was the texture of potato's in the curry. A little gritty. The curries here are phenomenal. I'm pretty stuck on the green curry with tofu and my wife is a fan of the red curry with tofu. They're both delicious, flavorful, full of sliced zucchini, eggplant and peppers. The egg rolls are always good too. We've only eaten in the restaurant once. We usually get carry out. Was in the area and wanted "Chinese." My fiancé had never tried Thai food and this place was highly rated. Well, it was fantastic. All the veggies were amazingly fresh and flavorful. The food was served incredibly hot. Spice level was perfect (on my noodle dish). The Tom yum shrimp soup was absolutely my fav. Now I have a fiancé that wants to go to Thai food but nothing I've been to in our area compares to this hidden gem (which is about 1.5hrs away from home unfortunately).
