This place has the best Pad Thai I've ever had. The dinner portion was enough to make three meals for her. I've had the Mussamun curry twice and it is outstanding. I masked them to make it extra spicy and they said that the menu goes to three but they will go to five if asked. I asked. It was a nice heat without being overwhelming, and added very nicely to the taste of the curry. The only caveat with this place is that the parking lot in front is very small. I believe that after 6, people were parking in the bank next door. Food was not good, drinks were not good. Disappointed because the reviews are decent and was looking forward to trying the food. I ordered basil fried rice, chicken lo mein, spring rolls and crab rangoons l. For drinks I ordered lemonade, however, it tasted like watered down lemonade so I asked for a dr. pepper instead and they gave me root beer. The basil fried rice was mushy and tasted like they added way too much teriyaki sauce same with the lo mein. Spring rolls were just too salty crab rangoons were okay. Phenomenal food! Bangkok Chicken wings were awesome. All three meals were delicious and had left overs for home. No skimping on portion size. Moves to the area back in Sept 2021. My younger brother suggested this place from it yelp reviews. Best Thai we ever had. My brother eats here 3-4x's a week. The wife and I eat here once week or so. The food is just amazing. The staff is amazing. The portion of food is perfect. The wife love the drunken stir fry, and I love the Mussamun curry. Going here yesterday was such a nice experience. We read about it on yelp and stopped in for lunch. The man inside was smiling and greeted us. Such a sweet man! Im assuming it was the owner basically. A very clean, friendly, helpful. Calm, smiling man. We loved him! We wanted some pho - he suggested the beef pho. It was enormous and delicious. And we each got our own plate of other stuff like bean sprouts. He explained that if we wanted we could add chilli oil or chilli paste or some hoisin sauce. Those things are on the table. It was just darn tasty as it was tho. They also had a special where if you got pad thai or another lunch then you got a free little soup. We tried the tom yum soup - it was delicious! It had little mushrooms and chicken and basil? Maybe with sort of a sour/spicy/flavorful broth - delicious! The pad thai we got filled the whole styrofoam container - it was an immense amount. (Later when i tried the pad thai it was slightly dry - but could have been better fresh) The man was so sweet. I can't even tell you - he just was so cute. He seemed super excited about the food and to tell us a little about it - tho he was jot overbearing in any way - just perfect. Im not sure if he is from cambodia or some other place? I heard him saying some foods were cambodian. Then he suggested if we liked the pad thai to also try the "pad ke mow" or something that sounded like that. It has a thicker noodle and he said it was very good. Please give it a try. The man was clean, the restaurant was clean, the bathrooms were clean and he seems to take a lot of pride in the place. Crab Rangoon is anazing... generous,filling with green onion and tiny carrot bits... great flavor Fried dumplings are a nice handmade Shu Mei style pork and veggie with a ponzu based sauce... no food service pot stickers here.. real house made dumplings Free egg rolls were nice and light with same dipping sauce as crab rangoon. Cashew chicken was amazing... the egg plant slices were awesome! White rice that comes with each entree was wonderful... perfectly dry and sticky. Only warning... items on menu may be fried even if not listed as fried on menu. Only 3 entrees list fried chicken... unfortunately that is not the case. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken thi nm ing it would be something besides thick greasy sticks of dry tasteless white meat... I was partially right... sadly it was every negative stereotype plus they were covered in the sauce and veggies and pineapple. By the time our takeout made it 10 miles home the breading had soaked up all the sauce and was a solid nasty mass of goo! I picked out the chicken and found it rock hard and too dry to even shred. I salvaged the pineapple and green pepper too... saved it all in the fridge and will try and revive it tomorrow as a round two dinner. This is real Thai. This restaurant is owner by the Lady from Thailand that has been cooking in Akron for years. If you are a fan of Thai you know her, she started out in Highland Square years ago and then she was in Merriman valley for years at the Bangkok Gourmet. For years my husband and I were talking about how much we missed the Bangkok Gourmet restaurant that was on Tallmadge Ave so many years ago. Well, we found it in this Bangkok Thai restaurant on Darrow Rd! The recipes have been adapted from the original owner! I ordered the Mussaman Curry with shrimp and they were nice enough to sub carrots and potatoes for my fave veggies, eggplant and zucchini. This dish comes with a mild Curry. Very fragrant and very delicious! My husband ordered the crispy white fish with vegetables and a spicy brown sauce. As I cannot eat spicy foods, I am reporting that he loved the spiciness of the sauce and the various veggies complemented the white fish. We have gone there 4 times thus far, and it has been wonderful. I do recommend this restaurant! read more

Haven't been in a few years, but was craving their Thai rolls. Apparently the menu has changed a lot, too. I just say that I ordered during lunch, so the lunch menu likely differs, but I don't know. I ordered the crab Rangoon, which was disgusting, the spring roll, and the other roll with chicken in it. These were tasty but huge! I was disappointed, however, that when asking for home made hot mustard sauce instead of the packets in the directions box, this was not honored. I also ordered the closest they had to chicken fried rice, which was a house special fried rice. It had zucchini in it, which I like, so I thought it would be a nice take over peas, cuz I hate peas. It had onions, but they were long onions, the taste was garlicky, really not like chicken fried fried or fried rice at all. I don't recommend it at all! Last, I had the General Tso Chicken lunch special-- a divided tray, with white rice on one side and the entree on the other. I have tried this dish at many restaurants.I don't think they know what they are doing! The sauce was congealed an not at all typical tasting for this dish. i had asked for extra broccoli in the directions box when ordering this dish, which was not honored. I was not charged . Thankfully, I didn't get extra broccoli because the 2 small pieces were cooked beyond recognition! As far as the chicken, it was white meat, which is nice. However, it was all in one clump. This made it very difficult to eat, and the batter was not crispy enough. overall, I'd say that this place was really good once upon a time ago. But not anymore. It was a waste of money. Really good food. Love the Tom Yum Soup but wish they would add a little coconut Pad Thai is excellent and HUGE serving. We get shrimp with it. Take out service is prompt and reliable. My boyfriend and I went in a saturday night, we sat in the back room and it was lovely. We started off with crab rangoon's and I got a salad. Both were amazing, the crab rangoon's were filled with a lot of crab filling and the salad was huge. I got the chicken pad thai for my entree and my boyfriend got the drunken stir fry. I loved the pad thai, it was huge and had amazing flavor. Found this place via Yelp as we were passing through the area and would definitely visit again when I head back that way. The staff was very friendly and helpful with navigating the menu. Even though gluten-free items aren't noted, our waiter was knowledgeable and consulted with the kitchen to verify what was naturally GF and what could be modified. I just moved to the area and I am absolutely in love with this place. I've already came in more than half a dozen times in the month or so that I've been in the area. Every time you walk in you are greeted with a smile and very friendly and excellent service. Their menu is quite expansive when it comes to Thai food and I've thoroughly enjoyed everything I've tried. So far I've had the Drunken Noodles, Drunken Stir Fry, Spicy Basil Stir Fry, Green Curry, Massaman Curry, Mango Curry (current special) and my favorite so far, the Panang Curry. Every dish is very flavorful and the portions are just right for me. Another added bonus is that they have a selection of craft beers to drink while you eat which is quite rare for a Thai restaurant. They'll even pour you a fresh glass of IPA while you wait for your takeout order too. I'm going to be a regular customer at this place for as long as I'm in the area. Highly recommended! read more

We came here based on current Yelp reviews. My husband had stopped here a couple years ago when it was under different management. He said it was like they microwaved some food and tossed it on his plate. Fast forward to recently reading that there is a new owner and people were happy. My daughter and I came here because of that and she was craving bubble tea. Sadly, they don't have bubble tea on the menu anymore but everything we've tried is really good. Fresh! The one server I've had a couple times, Brian, is wonderful. He's very helpful when trying to decide what to try. He makes you feel right at home when you come in. We've had pad Thai, drunken noodles, yellow curry and a few appetizers. I do think the spring rolls should be a little smaller. Maybe serve two smaller ones instead of a big one. The first one I had was still cold in the middle. They quickly made me a new one and everything else has been absolutely amazing. If you want good Thai, this is a great place to try. read more
