Fresh and tasty food! While looking for something light to grab during my lunch break, I stumbled upon Banh Mi and Roll. I ordered the Shrimp Fresh Rolls online and was pleasantly surprised by the food. The portion was larger than I anticipated for the price (just over $8). They tasted incredibly fresh. The carrots and cucumbers were perfectly crunchy and the vermicelli noodles weren't slimy. The shrimp were nice and plump (although I do wish there was some more). The peanut sauce was thick and had a very pleasant flavor that paired well with the rolls. I also appreciate how well the rolls were made. They were packed tightly and not overfilled - when you take a bite, the roll stayed together and didn't spill everywhere. The box was packed nicely with napkins and utensils. The restaurant itself is rather quiet and empty. It is very clearly a local spot in terms of its decor and ambiance. It feels a bit awkward to eat in there but this spot is perfect for a quick take out. The staff were very friendly and seem very detail-oriented. I will definitely be back! read more

I'm all about supporting small businesses, especially the ones located in Downtown Stockton. So I was extremely happy to see a Vietnamese shop in the area. Service was friendly and the shop was clean and neat. Ordered the Banh Mi Dac Biet and it wasn't totally bad but just needs work. Sandwhich came out bland, pickled veggies were bland, but the crunch of the bread was to my liking. I want this place to succeed just like every small business in Downtowb Stockton. The place is fairly new and the location is smack dab in a busy area, so hopefully they will improve. Give the place a try! read more

Came in aeound 4pm and ordered 6 Banh Mi #1 and a Thai tea. Clean establishment with friendly owners/staff. Each sandwhich was individually wrapped and placed in its own paper bag with napkins. They also placed little packets of Sriracha I'm the bag as well. Good amount of meats and ingredients in a typical bahn mi. Tried this place out back in February when I worked a street away. Going through my photo albums and noticed I haven't written a review yet. This is a fairly near restaurant near the courthouse. At the time this photo was taken, they had a grand opening special. Buy some pho and get a drink for free. Pho was big and useful especially during a windy day. Definitely full throughout the day until I got off. Service was fast considering it was peak lunch hours. Not too many people were inside. So this is a new spot in the downtown area. The menu is definitely different. The price of pho is a wee bit steep. I think the regular bowl was sitting at $12.50. I wasn't too hungry so I went with the grilled pork spring rolls. First observation, they placed the two spring rolls together and then wrapped them in plastic. That's a big No No. First, the two spring rolls placed together caused them to stick together. Upon separating the twins, it caused the rice wrap to tear. As for the spring rolls, they were ok. Nothing to brag about. If this was your only option within walking distance for spring rolls, then This place could satisfy your hunger. read more

I'm used to every Viet place having the spiciest of the spicy jalapeños but there was no spice what so ever. I also got the special vermicelli bowl. I got a mountain of noodles and pork with no flavor. The egg roll was good tho! The service was good, from the woman at least. She was happy to help and very soft spoken. I came after my daughter science fair and I had to kill time. So I finally tried this place every time I go papa urbs. I tried banh mi grilled pork and you would it be the wise choice to eat. I visited this establishment recently. In terms of service, my server was quick to take and serve my order. I got their special sandwich, as well as their grilled pork sandwich. In terms of the food, I was thoroughly impressed. The bread for both sandwiches was crispy and soft. The pickled daikon was acidic and the pate was delicious. For both sandwiches, the was proportions for all the ingredients were spot on. In terms of the grilled pork sandwich, the pork was savory and juicy. Stopped by for lunch and ordered a banh mi sandwich and iced coffee. I opted for their special sandwich and it tasty with a soft roll just enough crunch). The filling was a bit light, but it was good enough. The coffee was smooth, not too sweet, but not strong enough for my taste. I prefer the bolder Vietnamese drinks. There isn't much space to dine in, so you may have to enjoy your meal elsewhere if it's busy during the lunch hour. Overall, it's definitely worth a try. I will return soon. read more

I came here today and ordered a tropical fruit tea, which is really good but a little on the sweet side (I add water to mine). It took them like 25-30 minutes to get my drink to me. I asked the cashier about my drink and she just looked at the other lady. Never said anything to me nor apologized for the delay. Was pretty annoyed. A co-worker walked in 10-15 minutes after I ordered and his order was given to him within minutes because they had spring rolls that were prepared in advance, which could be bad depending on how far in advance they were prepared. All in all, I'm disappointed. Not the first time I've been here but it makes me want to make it my last. I gave two stars because of this occurrence as well as the other times I've come. I've tried their spring rolls, which are not bad but I'm not too fond of the pickled daikon and carrot. I would prefer the original style, but their peanut sauce is one of the best I've tried. Also tried their grilled pork banh mi, which was loaded with meat, but I didn't think it was all that good. It was okay. The pickled daikon and carrot barely had any flavor. I also paid for extra veggies and didn't receive extra veggies. One thing to note is they do not have AC. If you come on a hot day. You will be sweating. Wow!!!! Delicious filled sandwiches loaded with meat and veggies and yummy authentic Viet mayo. The drinks and shrimp rolls(each wrapped individually) were great too! Review is for the food. The sandwich meat (chicken) isn't grilled it is actually steamed. Bread is very soft not toasted like the usual Bahn mi's Ive had. The bbq pork rice plate; meat had no flavor meat was very tough with lots of fat on the ends. The fish sauce that was included tasted more on the fishy side. We dined-in with my Daughter and she really needed to use the restroom after she just came from school and ate their food I just paid for. But unfortunately we were turned down. The vegetables that came with the pho was very limited and wasn't fresh. I also ordered the avocado shake. That was disgusting. No flavor. It tasted more like ice and milk. I came in before they closed last night and got a couple avocado smoothies and by the color I knew it wasn't going to taste right.. it tasted very bland and no avocado flavor at all. I also ordered 4 banh mi's in total, 3x #1 and 1x #5 and they gave me all #1.. the sandwich was decent but the price is a little too much compared to Huong Lan and other banh mi places I've been to.
