First I'd like to start by saying I am not Vietnamese. I have been eating Pho since I was in 6th grade when my mom's friend who is Vietnamese came over and made it for us for the first time. I am Mexican with 1st generation parents we only ate Mexican food and some Filipino food because my grandpa had a lot of Filipino friends. Over the years I had the pleasure of eating this dish from many Vietnamese families and as I got older I've gone to restaurants from here in the Central Valley all the way to the bay. THIS PLACE hands down is 100% the best pho I've ever had in my life! I didn't have a go to spot as every place I had been to is inconsistent or just falls short. I've been going here for almost a year now. I have brought over everyone I possibly could to try this place and they are all singing while they eat. ITS THAT GOOD! The broth is absolute heaven!!! I would buy just the broth if I could. I always ask for extra noodles because I'm a noodle head lol and the meat portions they give are perfect! All my friends I have brought have switched to only buy Pho here. They always tell me they can't wait to bring their loved ones as well. The host is always amazing and he always shows out for his guest which I really appreciate. Easy to talk to, and even when the place is packed I don't feel short handed by him. I've had their spring rolls and egg rolls and they are also very delicious. I've also ordered their coffee Carmel boba I believe it's called and oh my lanta. I may just have to get one every time I come as my sweet treat. I'm not a sweets girls unless it comes to a sweet coffee or bread. The only thing I've ordered from here that I didn't like were their fruit flavored smoothies. I had ordered the watermelon and strawberry my kids didn't finish them and when I tasted them they seemed very artificial. We ended up tossing which I felt very bad for. The ambiance is a bit outdated but I don't care. It makes me feel like the food just speaks for itself and the decor itself is just going to be what it is. Overall this place is a HANDS DOWN THE BEST PLACE TO GET PHO! I'll come here even on hot summer days for their pho! Me and my wife found this place a couple years back, and every time the weather turns cold we end up here at least once a week. The broth is easily the best I've had in Stockton and the steak is always tender. We split the shrimp spring rolls to start, and we never leave without grabbing the famous ribeye banh mi to go. This is my second time in here since I've lived in Stockton. I was driving towards the gym and decided to give this place another try. Came in to a busy Saturday rush and was sat down and greeted by a nice, energetic, positive,young server. Presumably the son of the owners. Ordered the Bún bò Huế and received it less then 10 minutes later. Bún bò Huế and Bún riêu are my two favorite Vietnamese noodle soups so I had to try and see how theirs tasted. The broth is full of flavors and you can taste the lemongrass! They have an assortment of protein including pork blood, beef, and fish cake patties. Very nice touch! Ambiance is nice but a bit outdated. It be nice to see this place modernized just a bit, maybe with some music playing also? All in all, I found my new Bún bò Huế spot! Here they are made and wrapped perfectly no falling apart or sticking. The egg rolls were delicious, they provide a generous amount of lettuce and fish sauce to wrap and dip your roll. This place as a nice extensive menu and I usually like to get a meat, veggies and pasta meal at Vietnamese places - and since Vietnamese food is tasty - I really like the fresh basil in the mix - which tastes awesome - the dish I got was #25 on the menu - grilled pork vermicelli- which I've had a many other Vietnamese places. It was good but not excellent - I did enjoy it, would have liked it had them been more basil in the mix - but no real complaints on the food - it was good - would have given the place 4 stars but I deducted one because when I ordered Vietnamese coffee - which usually has a ton of ice cream- which I can't drink - I prefer more to drink and no ice - so they just gave a few ounces of coffee - all the other Vietnamese or Thai place I've gone to - give me the full cup of coffee - if you're paying $6 for. *DEBIT AND CASH ONLY* Ahhh I keep finding little gems in Stockton--this family-owned Viet place close to my house is yet another for pho that's going to be my new takeout staple. I always pass by this spot because I workout close by, and finally decided to try some takeout after craving pho one day and damn I was definitely not disappointed. All the reviews here were right--I called in a takeout order of the #2 Large Pho Bo Dac Biet $13.50 with ALL THE THINGS (tripe, meatball, flank rare steak, brisket) and an order of fried egg rolls ($8.25 for 5 rolls) and boyyy was I so happy and full. The pho noodles, meat, lime/herbs/bean sprouts come filled fully in a styrofoam tray with piping hot pho soup in a plastic container separately. Highly recommend finding a large bowl at home to put both in. Piping hot soup was still perfect for cooking the rare sliced steak fully (though definitely reboil the pho stock if let it sit too long!). Brisket was thin and tender, comes with hoisin and sriacha packet as well--would just request 1-2 more lime slices next time for myself! Also the stock is delicious and not v greasy---stayed well in the fridge even for the next day. I LOVE EGG ROLLS and these were generous and crispy. I soak everything in nuoc cham --- pretty generous order of 5 rolls. I have also tried the fresh shrimp spring roll with my roommate and that's also bomb if you want something a bit lighter and fresher ($8.25 for 4 rolls). Spending like ~$25ish here on a large pho and an app will last you more than a full sized hearty meal. I give this place a solid 4 stars for awesome takeout with close proximity to home for me. They're quick too. But gave an extra star because Huy is awesome---I didn't realize they didn't take credit my first time here and he helped accomodate me--then the next time I was back the following week he actually remembered me and also knew my order :0. The restaurant was also musty, like warm inside and little air. It was odd because the hallway to the restroom was not that musty. As for the food. It was pretty good. My partner really liked the meat plate he ordered. Good flavors. I thought the pho soup that I got on the side could have been served hotter and with more flavor. The egg rolls were fine, but a little tough. My biggest complaint was the pad Thai, which was more like a drunken noodles, given the level of spice. The default spice was super hot and not for those weary of spice. The cherry boba was also great. However, I do not like that this place does not give an itemized receipt, especially since the price I was charged for the boba was different than what I saw on the menu. read more

I came back to try their bun bo hue because my nail guy recommended it and also said this is the authentic local spot for the Vietnamese in the community. It did not disappoint! I drank every last drop of the broth. I've never had bun bo hue that tasted good like that.
