In the end I ended up ordering one of their "signature" banh mis- shaking beef The choice was made easy by a visual menu attached to the wall (I love a good picture to get me excited for my food). I'm not sure what happened at this location, but there are signs indicating they have the authority to refuse service to anyone, and one indicating that they will not refund after the food is prepared. My shaking beef banh mi was fresh, the bread was good. The jalepeno was no joke. Shaking beef replicated the dish (with grilled onions and bell peppers). New to me, it wasn't my favorite, but I'm glad I tried it. My largest opportunity for improvement was the beef. Certain bites were tender, but so chewy that I eventually had to spit them out. The accoutrement help a bit but not much - I wish the meat brought something more to the party. Their banh mi is decent; however, I got a rogue jalapeño once and it was EXTREMELY SPICY - I cried! this is officially my second visit, but first review of Banh Mi and Tea. It is located between Sprouts and Snappy Nail Salon. It's easy to find since it is the only Banh Mi place in this lot. As you walk inside, you are greeted with good music and a sort of warm cozy environment. The food here is fresh and seems to be consistent to my last visit. My egg rolls came out piping hot with the perfect crispness. I also ordered a pork banh mi with extra patí. This was definitely good to the last bite, its actually the reason i came back and it was worth it! Pairing all of this with a Tai tea to wash it all down.. The cashier said she couldn't change it because who was going to eat it.
