Stopped by at Banh Mi Brothers for a late lunch after an IKEA trip. Holy guacamole! Food here is fantastic. There's no words that could describe how delicious the food here is!! Food came pretty fast, which I always appreciate when I'm dining in. Fresh rolls were typical - I especially enjoyed the thick sauce that came with it. Grilled pork was smokeyyy. Phew!! After the first bite, I was grinning so hard the entire time I was eating the sandwich bc I was so happy for the sandwich choose I made few minutes ago. It was perfection *chefs kiss* The Korean one was equally delicious. I enjoyed the kimchi topping, but it was not my favorite type of kimchi. Cilantro aioli added to the sandwich was nice touch! Overall, it's a quick, delicious joint that gave me such a beautiful experience! I would absolutely come back here next time I'm in the area. Located off a main road in a commercial area that has numerous dining options. They have outdoor and indoor seating available. Because it was hot and I did not want to lose any muscle mass to sweating, we decided to dine inside. The place is very welcoming and lit up. They have a humongous menu board on the wall to your right as you enter. The prices are all very reasonable and you can get a great meal for under $15 per person. They also have a great selection of drinks and house made teas. We got a traditional Bahn Mi, which are sort of Vietnamese cold cuts with their relish, cucumber and jalapeño's. It is a taste of Vietnam in every bite and that soft flaky bread is the icing on the cake. We also got a BBQ Pork Bahn Mi, same style just savory pieces of pork in place of the "cold cuts". They have other types like chicken or Korean Beef available as well as vegan ones. They offer noodle bowls, empanadas and other types of appetizers. I got a Lychee tea to wash it all down. It has bits of fruit in it, it was a bit sweet so I watered it down. You place your order at the counter and get a # that they call out and you pick up your food and drinks at the counter . Bathrooms have a code that you need to ask for. Staff was friendly and got my food out quick and it was fresh and hot. Place was clean and tidy. What I love about what they do is they do fusion bahn mi without it feeling like they're trying too hard to force it. The flavors go together with all the traditional bahn mi ingredients so well. They also have traditional bahn mi of course. The Vietnamese baguettes taste fresh with a little crunch on the outside soft on the inside. Returned the next day. 1- Chinese BBQ 1- grilled pork 1 order of the same roll. Paid via tap. Receipt emailed. They don't slice the Chinese BBQ it comes in chunks/cubes. I won't ever need to get it again but I'm glad I tried. Too much mayo. It was heavy. Diakon was noticeable this time. First visit lacked any. Family enjoyed the grilled pork + extra jalapenos+ did not like crusty bread. I know y'all. And, I'm from Louisiana were the French baguette truly rules and you're judge by how fresh it is and if it's properly priced as grocery stores sell them hot and fresh each evening from 4-7p for the dinner crowd. I enjoy a crusty bread but c'est la vié they are new to these Americas. All in all, I'm glad they are hygienic and that was my first impression on my first visit as the guy behind the counter rung me up with his gloves on, changed the receipt paper, had to get the credit card machine up and going then looked like he was heading to the line to make sandwiches. This is my 2nd time having Banh Mi brothers and it was another good experience. I came with a friend of mine and we ordered the summer rolls, pho-tine fries which is: sauteed beef, basil, onion, hoisin sauce & pho gravy. Really good!!! We order an order of egg roll & one drink while we were eating & it took more than 30mins. Bathrooms needs code to get in. The men's didn't have TP or soap when my hubby took out little girl in. Very loud & none of the tables were wiped down between people (not sure on sanitation policy since its order to pick up). They have a pretty large Vietnamese menu, which includes everything from bahn mi to pho and some fun appetizer/fusion options. I ordered the summer rolls. I liked the amount of filling with both pork and shrimp, and it tasted pretty fresh. The pho fries were a fun option, and were tasty. The bahn mi was good, but I'm only giving 4 stars because while it was solid it wasn't my favorite Overall, pricing is decent. The in-store dining experience is nothing much. The inside of the restaurant is pretty run of the mill, and in spots maybe a little bit tired. Most of the people seemed to be ordering taking. I love Banh Mi Brothers. I have had it every few days over the past few weeks. The pate they use is delicious. Everything is usually on point. Seriously guys, you can't go wrong. The staff is also SUPER friendly. Same can be said about the owner. The ONLY thing I can complain about is the consistency of the flavor with the pickles. I really hope someone sees this tonight and taste checks them in the morning. A few times they have been BARELY pickled. A lack of vinegar or something. Today was definitely one of those days! I get a classic with no head cheese (sometimes), extra cha lua, extra pate, and EXTRA pickles. The owner and I were just talking about the pickles being a key component. But these pickles aren't pickled. That brightness isn't there. I'm only giving 4 stars due to the lack of consistency on the pickles. Otherwise, this is hands down one of the best in town. When I first walked in there was this giant chalk board with all the menu items listed out clearly for me to see. I really do appreciate it when places list things out in a clear and easy-to-understand fashion. It makes my decisions as a customer easier. I ended up getting a bbq pork banh mi, the pho-tine fries, and a large thai tea. The thai tea was super strong and very sweet, just how I like it. It held me over for the long drive back. The banh mi was flavorful and had fresh ingredients. I do wish there was a little more inside but that can be said at any Banh Mi place. Something I did enjoy that may be a bit controversial is the bun. I don't particularly enjoy it when the banh mi bun is hard to the point where it is difficult to bite through and too crunchy. Terrible experience today! Stopped in for some after school eats and the nibblings and my mom needed to use the restroom. I let them out to go in and use the facilities while I parked. As I was coming in they were walking out. Confused I asked what was going on. They said you have to buy something to use the restroom. I said did you tell them you were going to buy something. They scream yes and are dancing around cause of the need to use the restroom. I walk in and I'm completely ignored even though I'm with the people who just stated they have to use the restroom and we're going to buy something. I have to ask for someone to come help us and about using the restroom. They state that the code is at the bottom of the receipt. I quickly buy a tea just to obtain the code. I totally understand the need to regulate the use of your bathroom and to keep your establishment clean but I cant support an establishment that isn't compassionate to old people and kids. To complete ignore us after we stated we were going to make a purchase and needed the restroom and I know the employees use the restroom and probably have the code memorized and could have easily shared it. We were going to buy food but after the experience just left with the tea. We've been to Banh Mi Brothers several times and it's normally a fun treat for the kids when we're in the area but there's no excuse for the terrible customer service and disrespect observed today. From California, we have some really good banh mi's so was not expecting a whole lot. However, the grilled pork sandwich was stacked and pretty tasty. It's not quite what I am used to but did the job of having a nice toasted baguette, plenty of pork and veggies and mayo. read more
