This spot had pretty good reviews but my experience did not live up to my expectations. Portions are on the smaller side, and it just wasn't great (we tried different variations of the pho). The menu is also misleading - they mainly use one cut of beef for the entire bowl, though they state it comes with multiple. Servers were distracted and service was a bit slow. I would unfortunately not come back.

Phó for breakfast ? Yes please! Stopped in for a morning bowl of hot phó and it was exactly what I needed for a good pick-me-up! I love coming to Pho Hoa because their broth is always delicious no matter which one you choose and the service is always nice and quick. I ordered the #10 bowl and the fried roll and they were both so good! I could've put in another order of the fried rolls because that's how good they are! Always enjoy coming here and the food never disappoints!

I recently had a chance to visit Pho Hoa Noodle Restaurant in Plaza Midwood. It is located a little further down in the area in a small shopping center. The parking is limited, so keep that in mind. I happened to get lucky and pulled in right as someone was backing out. When I left, I noticed a couple of open spots, but overall parking is pretty tight. When you walk in, the menus are already on the table inside a clear glass display, which reminded me of Angie's. I ordered the seafood pho and the pork summer rolls with peanut sauce. They added shrimp to the rolls, but honestly they tasted more like chicken than pork. Either way, they were still good. The service was extremely quick. I was dining alone, sat down, placed my order, and my food came out within about five minutes. I was in and out in around fifteen minutes. I did not finish all my food, and they were kind enough to bag everything for me. They even packed up my pho to go so I did not spill anything, which I really appreciated. Just a heads up, the spicy sauce on the table is very spicy, so taste it first and add slowly based on your spice tolerance. The staff does come around to check on you, and they were very friendly throughout my visit. You do not pay at the table. Instead, you pay up front before leaving. When you pay up front, remember your table number. The table numbers are on the top of the table. As for the pros and cons, the biggest difference for me is price. I am from Houston Texas, and pho is much cheaper there, so I am still getting used to Charlotte prices. I cannot compare this spot to other pho restaurants in the area yet, but I can say this place was tasty and delicious. The portions were generous, and I even had leftovers for dinner. I liked it and will definitely return. The staff is friendly, and overall I had a great experience.

There's a reason why this place has been open for over 25 years. Consistently delicious food and boba with fast service and friendly faces. It's truly the perfect place to catch up with good friends over a steaming bowl of authentic pho. One of the best hidden gems in Plaza Midwood.

Friends said to us - this is some of the best Pho! They were right. The place is family tan and they kinda treat you like family. Very attentive and making sure you have what you need! Food arrives fast too! The regular size bowl is huge and plenty; the broth rich; and the thinly sliced beef tasty from cooking in the broth! Their spring rolls are huge and a little different with the pork! Their peanut sauce excellent! They place a large community plate with the toppings for the table! They could maybe step up their cleaning regimen a bit but nothing that would stop me from coming back!

We came across this place while searching for vegan pho options and gave it a try. We ordered vegan pho tofu and vegan vermicelli tofu ( I think the number is 64 and 66, could be incorrect though). Also ordered oat milk boba mango smoothie and tofu spring roll, everything was delicious. Definitely recommend to all.

Pho Hoa never disappoints. Located in a little shopping plaza off of Central Ave, the shop is always full of patrons. The service is usually short and sweet - no complaints on my end. The inside could probably use a good cleaning and some table repairs but nothing too terrible to stop me :)

My go-to pho joint in Charlotte. Always get the Vietnamese beef stew pho -- rich, savory, and exactly what you want on a cold day. A friend swears by their vegetable tofu pho -- also delicious and full-flavored -- so great it made me rethink what veggie pho can be. No fluff -- just solid, comforting bowls that hit the spot every time. If you love hearty, satisfying pho with a loyal following, give Pho Hoa a try -- it's earned its spot on my regular rotation

We ate here a while ago but I forgot to post the review.. Best pho arounddd townnn. The broth and herbs hit the spot on a cold and dreary day. They load you up with the ingredients...cilantro, bean sprouts, jalapeño, basil, onion, noodles, meats..etc You end up with two meals because they're so generous with the portions. Definitely coming back. Really good stuff.

I had really been craving pho so decided to come here one rainy night while visiting Charlotte. We were greeted by a friendly host and were quickly seated. The menu was right on the table and we started off with the fried egg rolls as an appetizer which were crispy and delicious! The pho was delicious and they had all the toppings and sauces I needed to make it as flavorful and spicy as I like! Definitely hit the spot and there were lots of people there. Casual ambiance. Will definitely be back!

Aesthetic: Local authentic Vietnamese pho restaurant with a variety of noodle soups, rolls, and fun drinks. Experience: I had an okay experience here, but some of the dishes were great. Our group enjoyed the pho, the brisket was tender and it was a yummy comforting bowl of soup. The Thai iced tea and drip coffee were also impressive. However, I ordered the summer rolls as my main since they're my favorite, and I was disappointed to find a hair stuck to one of the summer rolls after I'd already eaten the other one. I'm a bit squeamish, so I had to stop eating after that, and it ruined the vibe for me. It's probably just a one off experience, but I thought I should say something as a precaution. The waiters were nice and working hard, I felt bad complaining while I was there. Conclusion: If you're looking for a good bowl of pho and yummy coffee or tea, this is an authentic spot.

The restaurant has an eclectic, mismatched décor that felt more cluttered than charming. Combined with the sticky menus and food scattered across the floor, the space had an overall dirty feel. The pho was served with lemon wedges instead of lime. When I asked for lime, the server looked at me without saying anything and walked away. She eventually returned with lime wedges, so I assume she heard my request. The pho itself was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. Service felt rushed, and the staff seemed too busy to be attentive. It gave the impression that stopping by our table was an inconvenience rather than part of the dining experience. Given the restaurant's strong reputation and glowing reviews, I expected a much better overall experience.

This is the kind of restaurant that works best when you order a bunch of dishes and let everyone try a little of everything tapas-style. The portions are generous and very shareable. The staff here is also genuinely helpful. They made recommendations for our table, checked in often, and kept everything moving smoothly even with a larger group. Another underrated bonus is the parking. They have their own lot, which in Charlotte honestly deserves appreciation all by itself. The inside was larger than I thought as there is also seating in this kind of hidden back room. The lighting, for dinner time at least, was really moody and warm which offered an intimate but modern atmosphere. The service was friendly and quick! Our water was constantly refilled. My friends and I did family style and got the Dry-Fried String Beans, Coconut Shrimp, Ube Cheesecake, Mango Sticky Rice, Thai Chicken Wings, Takoyaki, Crab Rangoon Roll, Szechuan Spicy Wontons, and Basil Popcorn Chicken. I heard that the appetizers are better than the entrees here and that was so true. All of the appetizers were delicious! The Thai Chicken Wings were had this nice crunch despite being coated in this Thai sweet chili sauce. The Crab Rangoon Rolls tasted different than usual crab rangoons, possibly because the filling tasted more like stringy crab meat rather than chunks? Still really tasty especially when paired with the yum yum sauce. I loved the Basil Popcorn Chicken, especially when dipped in the yum yum sauce. You can really taste the five-spice powder. The pieces were a bit large for popcorn chicken, but I did not mind. I was shocked (in a good way) by the Szechuan Spicy Wontons. Extremely flavorful, especially when dipped in the sauce. As for the entrees (which all came with a bowl of rice), the Coconut Shrimp was weird. The batter was extremely thick and hard to bite into, which was unfortunate as the shrimp and coconut sauce itself were delicious. I did enjoy the Dry-Fried String Beans, though. It was in this nice garlicky sauce, plus the beans were sautéed very nicely. I thought that the deserts were okay. The Ube Cheesecake needed more cheesecake and the Mango Sticky Rice needed to be a bit sweeter for my preference. All in all, this is a solid restaurant! I was skeptical because of the terms "Asian fusion" but my worries washed away with the food. The appetizers are a must have here! I would rate this spot a 4.5/5 stars if I could.
