My partner and I ordered the classic bahn mi and a grilled pork bahn mi- both had amazing flavor and were stuffed full with meat and garnished with pickled veg and cilantro. The bread was warm and crispy on the outside but warm on the inside. Both sandwiches were delicious and maybe the best bahn mi ive had in charlotte. We ordered the crispy quail for an appetizer since they were out of chicken wings when I went- the flavor of the quail is phenomenal truly. I might prefer the crispy quail at lang van a bit more but it's really not a huge difference. We also ordered the salty lemon juice- which is made with preserved lemons so there is a tangy funky flavor to it that is salty and a little briny and I LOVED it. It was such a unique type of lemonade and it paired so well with the fatty richness of the bahn mi. My partner wasn't a big fan though- so just know this might not be everyone's favorite drink. He stuck with the classic Thai tea- and we have tried probably dozens of thai teas from around the charlotte area and this one easily is maybe the best Thai tea. The color is a vibrant orange, it's creamy, the tea flavor is rich and not watered down in the slightest. Hands down recommend and I will be trying more items on their menu read more

I used to live this place and it's hard for me to get to this place on person since I have to work a lot. I've ordered from the place a few times have hope they have mess my order up. They have messed my order up carelessly and I've called them a few times in advance before driver gets there to get my order and they still messed my order up. Really good Banh Mi at the location on South Blvd. The sandwiches are delicious usually with a good balance of fillings to toppings. The cucumber slices are sometimes a bit thicker than needed, and I'm a lover of fresh jalapeños so I never complain when there's a little extra heat. The folks at the counter are always friendly and answer questions and will make recommendations if you need help. Everything is fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. Worth a visit. By the pictures I thought this would a lovely place to take my fiance to celebrate the holiday. The drinks were very watery and did not taste correct. The food came out and wow let me tell you our rice was bland, mushy, and not cooked well. The fish turned out to be ok which is saying much and not nearly as good as even your standard chain restaurant. The chicken tasted normal but was very mushy. The vegetables didn't seem fresh and again very dry and soaked in sauce. We ate majority of it but looking at each other with blank stares. We had just finished working out few hours earlier with high expectations of this place The best part of the experience was the patio and the decor. The fire pit was nice and there were quite a few couples surrounding us celebrating the evening as well. My waitress forgot my fork and I waited about 15 minutes for her to bring one out while my date waited for me. She literally forgot me while the food was starting to turn cold. It was not overbooked and truly we both were flat out disappointed. We had 2 drinks, 1 appetizer, and two relatively normal fish/chicken course meal that cost us around $110 with tip. I've had much better meals for half the price and just as nice if not better experience Oh by the way the men's bathroom was poorly cleaned and not working. Yikes. Talk about a pure disaster. Will not becoming back to this one. I was promptly advised that this was not a soup. The bowl was ready in less than 10 minutes. The chicken was seasoned well, sliced, and served with rice noddles, cucumbers, daikon (a sweet crunch vegetable), and lettuce and carrots. The fish sauce, used as a dressing, had a nice favor to it. The dish was right up my alley and was filling but would likely leave room for dessert for someone who eats a lot more than me. The restaurant serves a variety of smoothies (diary based) and slushies (juice based), and a wide variety of desserts. This is my favorite place for banh mi. They have the best grilled pork (#4 thit nuong) banh mi in Charlotte. My husband favorite is the grilled pork patties (#8 nem nuong), don't get the grilled chicken banh mi though, it's very dry and doesn't have much flavor to me. Love that Cripsy Banh Mi has vegetarian options! The bread isn't a typical Banh Mi baguette, but a little softer. But what's in between this bread is pretty great and definitely delivers on the flavor. There's jalapeño, cilantro, cucumber, pickled daikon & carrots. The vegetarian version comes with a marinated seitan. I usually add avocado & egg, and extra veggies - these vegetables are really what make this Banh Mi great! The sandwich is a well-sized portion and makes a hearty meal for one. I've also tried one of their appetizers, the fried tofu, which is pretty good. One day I finally got fed up of the line and lack of seating at Le's Sandwiches and Cafe and decided to try Crispy Banh Mi. While Crispy definitely has a better seating arrangement than Le's, it's certainly no comparison as far as the sandwich. The bread was VERY toasty/crunchy, to the point where it would probably be fair to consider it burnt. The flavor of the sandwich is okay. The meat is relatively mild, the sandwich doesn't have any discernible spice, and the carrots have a very prominent vinegar taste. The Thai tea is okay -- make sure to ask for boba as it does not automatically come with it. There's quite a bit of ice and flavor wise it's pretty much identical to the Thai teas you'd get at any other Asian restaurant. Price-wise, it's very inexpensive (~$18 for two Banh mis and two small Thai teas). Service was friendly and very fast. Overall, it's definitely no Le's but at least it has seating. read more
