Went in out of the rain. I didnt love my choice but my husband enjoyed his. I would not go back, he would. I got an iced coffee with cream and sugar free vanilla syrup. They have no other lite or sugar-free options, which is annoying. The coffee itself was lackluster and the flavor was off. I didnt finish mine. My husband got the seasonal cherry pistachio latte. He said it is creamy, flavorful amd delicious. We were gonna get a bakery treat but they all looked old. We were there in the early afternoon. Service was good. An espresso specialty store this is not. They use a commercial-grade superautomatic machine to pull the shots. But unlike most of the Commons, it is open at 7a, so I went in on both a Saturday and a Sunday morning during a weekend in Ithaca. I was the only one in that early. The lattes I got were fine. Decent flavor, not bitter, but also not fresh beans. They did not have any pastries while I was there. They must bake them somewhere else. read more

Overall decent drinks and tasty bites though overpriced. We ordered the blueberry matcha and chocolate cherry mocha for drinks. I liked the chocolate cherry mocha more and appreciated how neither beverage was too sweet. The cherry and chocolate flavors were both rather subtle as was the blueberry in the matcha. The matcha was not very good quality and quite watery. I would not get this again. Food was good! Toast was quite small and on a ciabatta roll which was interesting. I was expecting it to be on a 'typical' piece of sliced bread. I liked the pesto. The burrata balls were small and not very creamy as you would expect of burrata perhaps because of their size. The crepe was nice and warm. I wish the bananas were caramelized or that the coconut was toasted, it needed some more pizzaz. Also, a small qualm: our crepe came broken. Service was fast and there was plenty of seating when we came on a Sunday around 10:00am. The menu was also quite hard to order from as the toasts were not on the actual menu, only on the sliding picture presentation near the cash register. I like the natural light though! While I still enjoyed the toast and crepe just fine, neither was good enough to justify the price. Overall, I would not recommend or return. read more

First, the sad selection of treats looks like it's been sitting there for weeks--unappealing. Second, the latte I ordered with almond milk was so weak I had to ask for more coffee, which I don't believe I have ever done. After adding the coffee it tasted so weak--still!--that I just tossed it. Cute idea with Banksy art and I get the kitschy idea but make better drinks, please. read more

I visited BANKCOFFEE for the second time already. The first time was amazing--I tried their crepes, and the fruits and berries were absolutely fresh, which I really appreciated! The second time, I came with the intention of trying something unique, and I wasn't disappointed. I got myself a Hot Coco Cappuccino, and they created an incredible masterpiece on top with marshmallows--then even torched it right in front of me! I definitely didn't expect that. The coffee was delicious, with a distinct and rich hot chocolate flavor. The service was great, and they even gave me a chocolate coin for free! The barista greeted me with a smile as soon as I walked in, which was really nice to hear. If you're in Ithaca, you should definitely give it a try! read more

It's a natural law that working hard to attract one type may repel another type. It's your choice, too, to stand in the middle and attract some of both. That is not *this* place, tho. A young person took my order. There is an assumption made by some youth that over-20 individuals, 'Boomers,' they call us, are tone deaf & uncaring. That attitude was in full play as I ordered a 16 oz Americano for 5 dollars. A smile, a hello - way too much to ask. The weakest espresso I've gotten in Ithaca to boot. I got the Barbie Latte which was great but I was surprised that there was no real silverware for the food so it made it harder to enjoy the food because the utensils were so bendy. Other than that the vibe was pretty chill but didn't have the best experience when it came to enjoying the food unfortunately. read more

The red velvet cake was absolutely amazing, moist, flavorful, and honestly one of the best I've had. But I was really disappointed with the Matcha Coconut Latte. I paid over $8 for it, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it had zero matcha flavor. It tasted like straight coconut flakes in milk, and that was it. I ended up tossing the drink and going to Paris Baguette, where I got a matcha latte that actually tasted like matcha and cost less. I thought this was a real bank that saved you money but it was a scam all along.....I got two orders, $4.99 each on the "too good to go" app, an app to help people in need by saving food that was going to be thrown away at the end of the day. Well i go in and they take a few items out of the glass case and put them in a small bag, it's two small clear takeout cases. In each one is 3/4 filled with reg croissants. The rest is: 1 very very dark type dark choc, 2 dime sized macroons and a caramel playing card pastry. I might be desperate and hungry but I'm not stupid and i certainly don't take advantage of desperate people myself so this is why i posted this review, so that others don't go to the bank of coffee and find nothing in their accounts. read more

New coffee place in town, and it's great! Yummy treats like chocolate tortes and mini key lime cheesecakes you aren't likely to find at your average coffee shop. Drinks are all delicious and cover a wide range. Lattes, iced specialties, virgin mojitos, you name it. Highly recommend, do not believe other reviewers who take issue with the workers or ambiance. Atmosphere is upbeat but calm, great place to work on your laptop if you don't want silence but don't want a bustling cafe. Music isn't too loud, and decor is chic. read more

This is good, since the free wifi and cozy atmosphere make it an appealing place to study or do some other work. The staff themselves are very accommodating and seem to enjoy their work.
