A lot could improve. After an 8 hour day of packing up and unloading a u-haul, my dad and I wanted comfort and a cold one. We got seated at the last resort high top table that didn't match any of the other wooden ones, all I could smell was the metal and both our chairs were wobbly. It's all good but our waters took a while to come out and then my dad's beer took 10 minutes before she came back to tell us they were changing the keg. When we got our beers, they were filled to the brim and had no carbonation. Is that like a thing now, with beers being flat? I looked around and the other beers I noticed didn't have bubbles either. Anyway, since we were uncomfortable we ordered a few items from the happy hour to share. I will say the food was good but they need help with service, the design/layout of the tables, clean out the tap lines, and more comfortable seating.

Always my go to place in town for beer and good food. The service is great as always, and the food and delicious beer always make me happy. Since they are the very few places opening 7 days a week, you won't have problem finding good food/drinks on Monday!

Great Basin is consistent and tasty. This was my first time at this location and I noticed some challenges with maintaining the outside tables and slow service but everything else was to be expected. The fish tacos were a little off balance wise (not enough acid) but the patty melt was perfection. The beers were cold and tasty. Everything was good!

Interior has lots of character. Exterior seating must be nice in the warmer months. Plenty of parking 1 block behind the restaurant. The food was very good. Our server, Melissa F, was very friendly and helpful. We would visit again.

The four of us popped in for lunch after our visit to the nearby Nevada Railroad Museum. My BIL suggested this for our lunch respite after being here before. We were seated and handed menus. Andrew was our server. He was very attentive and had loads of energy. Being a brewery we had local beers and a mocktail. Lunch entrees- * sis & BIL both had two piece fish & chips * hubby got the fried chicken sandwich * I got the cheeseburger with onion rings (sub)- I requested well done. A bit too done. Medium well would have better as the patty was a little dry. Onion rings were very temperature hot. Well battered. Our orders didn't take long. And we left satisfied. Overall 3.5 stars

Out house hunting with my husband and we got hungry. Threw "food" into the map and this place popped up. I'm so glad it did! Delish, friendly environment, clean restrooms, clean tables! I had the French dip, my husband had the Patty melt. 10/10. Service was great and prompt. We got here about 1145 and watched this place get steadily busier as time went on. You won't regret it.

Went with my friends over the weekend. Food and drink was good. It was pretty quick too.

I believe this was the Tommy pizza. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. What a great pizza!

I don't know what else I can say about Great Basin in beautiful Downtown Carson City. It's just an awesome place to hang out with friends and family. I definitely have my favorites on their menu. But yesterday I was craving pizza and thought it's time to try Great Basins pizza. I mean you can literally see the pizza oven as you walk in. I had been craving a good pizza for days and today definitely made my day. I chose the Tommy pizza. I think that's correct. It's basically a pizza with pepperoni red onion and jalapeño. Man I paired that with an Icky IPA and I was in Heaven. My dad who was with me always gets the ribs. That's his favorite. We are pretty much regulars here. Myself. My wife and dad and we have brought family members from out of town here. Bcz the food is great as well as the service. Great Basin Brewing Carson City is always a great time!

Staff friendly as always, fun place to watch the game, and our favorite date night spot. Switched it up and tried the Patty Melt...it was exactly what I wanted. Order sweet potato fries, they are crispy and waffle cut! I wish the patty covered more of the bread so it ate more evenly is my only want. Hoping for more smart tvs in the future for more seating options for Thursday night football.

Fish tacos. Sorry, I had aleady spun the one on the lft to get the guac deep down inside.

We were seated quickly by the waitress and served water. It must have been short staffed that day because it took a while to get our drink and food orders in. I'll give benefit of the doubt that it was slow season and staffing might be lean. My wife and I ordered Baja fish tacos and the fish n chips plate, I though the texture and execution of the dishes was spot on, very crispy and appetizing looking dishes, the tacos had cotija cheese on top of the fried fish, diced peppers with pico, and the side was a creative play on street corn (corn, mayo, cheese, spices) served with chips. The only critique I'll give is everything needed more salt, but that's better than being salty. My drinks were amazing, blood orange IPA and the clear water lager (award winning). I had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend!

The food itself is completely mediocre. We ordered the nachos and the ramen. The nachos were just okay (we got them with beef), but the ramen broth was way too salty. The real shocker came when the bill arrived. They charged $38 bucks for a single bowl of ramen that only had two pieces of pork belly in it, and honestly, the pork tasted more like regular fried bacon. On top of that, the nachos were over $30. I totally get that tourist areas are bound to be pricey, but these prices are just excessive for what you actually get. People really need to know what they're getting into before they choose to eat here. Definitely won't be back.

South Lake Brewing Company is located in the same plaza as Target, with plenty of parking available. South Lake Brewing Company is also dog friendly for those traveling with their pups When we walked in through the back entrance, we were greeted by an employee. After looking over the menu, we ended up ordering: Pilsner, $8- My husband ordered this one for himself. He liked it and had said he would order it again. Not really big on beer (although I do like German beers), I didn't have any. 2 Towns Huckleberry Cider, $8- I ordered this cider for myself and I thought it was fantastic. The sweet flavors of the huckleberry was prominent and excellent as a hard cider. --------------------------- (Total= $16) After my husband paid, the employee helping got our drinks right away. Then we just sat in the corner inside to just enjoy and relax for a while. The place itself was pretty empty, although a small amount of traffic was coming in. The brewery inside was pretty clean and so were the ladies' restrooms. Outside there was a corn hole for those that wished to play and also it was nice that there was some shade as well. If I was a local, I would definitely come back.

Plenty of 2 hour limit mall parking. Well it is the off season now. Events, food trucks, Thursday Trivia, etc - See their website. Service - Good. The bartender did a good job handling both us sitting on the bar and ALL the counter service. And she still had time to let me try a few tasters. Self service water, utensils, etc. Price - $62 + tip. Expensive for what we got. Beers were $9 each. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2003 and 2017 at this location.
