Attrocious experience: no timely communication, after financing was approved and a day before delivery, they had still provided no paperwork for my insurance, then they said they 'could not' deliver on time, although the car was supposedly on their lot; when I emailed to complain, the manager phoned and shouted at me, then said they would not honour the deal, as I am an unsatisfied customer. The WORST, most BRUTAL experience ever; would give a zero if I could! Don't walk, RUN far away from this dealership. Due to vehicle issue with my current CX-5; I decided to trade in. I had a test drive on a Thursday evening (with Ayache) & I asked for him to provide offer on a CX-9 Signature I liked; they needed to appraise my CX-5 & would get back to me. Before leaving, Ayache had "put the CX-9 on hold" for me. Friday morning, I got text from him that they were going to appraise my car & I would hear from him that day. By Monday, nothing, crickets!! That same Monday morning I got text from sales manager saying he hoped I got all the information I needed from my test drive; I said I had not, was still waiting on an offer & could they pls provide an update - again, crickets!! Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, I left serveral texts, emails & calls to both Ayachee & sales manager - still nothing. Not impressed, I went in Thursday night to get an update. I waited 25 mins on Ayachee before frustration set in and left. No sooner had I left the parking lot; I got a text from another sales person who had heard of my experience and said he would personally get the facts (on Monday) on my trade in and offer for the CX-9; took again some days of me reaching out to him but did finally get an offer and I agreed to come & sign on the Friday. I go in & unfortunately had to deal again with Ayache to go over some details before meeting with the finance guy; all good (so I thought) before I move to finance, at which point this guy mentions the kilometers on the vehicle, which were double than the vehicle I was looking at. The finance guy went to talk to Ayache who tells him that was the vehicle I was interested in! I asked finance to look it up & it was white (and not the higher end Signature) where the vehicle I test drove/was interested in was dark grey (& a Signature)! I just happened to have the stock# of the Signature I test drove & asked finance to look it up - it had been sold & then realized slimy Ayachee tried to con me into signing on a totally different CX-9! Needless to say I lost it!! Ayache would not come out of his hole to deal with me; instead I got the slimy sales manager who promised to find out what had happened and give me a "great" deal on another CX-9 in inventory. I instead had tried to go through another dealership but, because my CX-5 was undriveable, they would not give me a trade in - I was then stuck as at least Bank Street was willing to give me a decent amount for trade in. I unfortunately had to go back to Bank Street & deal with Ayachee (who I had said I did not want to deal with again); honestly, at this point (of not having a vehicle for almost 5 weeks) I just wanted to get something, get the hell out of their & never go back!! I was fortunate there was another CX-9 I liked, we worked out a deal and I do really like it! I'm sorry for the novel like review & I honestly never leave reviews BUT this was just an experience I could not let go & would never want for anyone else to go through. Thankfully I was strong enough to handle on my own but, even this was a test for me!! Both myself and insurance have been in contact with dealer trying to resolve issue and get a proper Bill of Sale. No luck. It has been weeks of getting the run around. We bought a Mazda 3 at Bank Street Mazda with the sport package over a year ago. The vehicle came with tinted windows which looked really cool. When we picked up the car, the dealer had installed our Quebec plates so we assumed the car was safetied, met QC standards and was good to go. In March of this year my wife was ticketed $160 for illegally tinted windows. They are four times darker than allowable by QC law. My wife contacted the sales manager and was initially very understanding. He said he needed to speak with the store manager to see if they could re-imburse us for the fine. But they would definitely remove the tint for us. 2 months later the sales manager had still not returned our call, despite countless messages left by my wife. Then I decided to get involved. I called every day for 2 weeks and finally Jayson Lukas, the sales manager, called me. He said they weren't responsible for the QC fine and they wouldn't reimburse us, but he could offer us $160 in service credits. I thought that was fair. But since I didn't know when my wife could bring her car in he said he would call her. But he didn't. It's now been over 3 months. Jayson knows that my wife can't drive her car in QC with the windows up for fear of getting another ticket. This is easily the worst service in any industry that I have ever dealt with. I had the worst experience ever at this car dealer. I am a young women and I don't know much about cars. I bought from them a Mazda 3 hatchback 2011 in 2013. They managed to sale me $4000 of extra warranties and stuff that never covers anything. Each time that I went for an oil change, they managed to find stuff that needed to be repaired and that of course was not covered under the WARANTIES. Bank Street Dilawri Mazda: Unprofessional & No Business Ethics...a shame on Dilwari car family. This is the worst dealer that I ever dealt with buying a car. They go back on their agreements, they don't return calls in a timely manner, no notion of customer service, and terrible finance manager. On Sep/12th /2020, I agreed with salesman to buy 2020/CX-9 Titanium color with $3000 discount + free winter tires. After I finished with sales, he transferred my file to Zayn Jolan (finance manager) where I filled credit application. Zayn tried to persuade me to buy $3,625 extended Mazda warranty plan + rust proof package for $2000 and he added additional incentives such steel rims+tire sensors, mats, and free oil change package. I told him that I am not interested but I will look into it. On Sep/15th/20, salesman informed that there is no titanium color and he offered me white color instead. I agreed with the salesman to take the white color instead. Here the nightmare started with Zayn, he kept pushing that I buy Warranty/Rust proof and will take white color charge off. Zayn works 1 day and the other day off and never returns calls in timely manner. I called Bank street Mazda complaining about him and I requested to transfer my file to different finance manager and they never did. On Sep/20st , Zayn called again and he pushed that I buy the Mazda warranty $3625/oil change package $899. I told him that I am not interested, and I told l him clearly that more than 10 days passed and you keep rotating around bush. I asked him clearly to proceed with what I originally agreed with my sale rep. On Tuesday night Sep/21th, he send me purchase agreement and he still included $3625 warranty /oil change package $899 that kept pushing me to buy. I was very upset & I called mt sale rep. and told him that Zyan job is finance and I don't want to buy anything additional from him. On Thursday Sept/24th, my sales rep. calls and informed me that they can only do $3000 discount but I have to pay $800 for winter tires. I told him that this is not ethical and this is not how business is done. They dragged me 2 weeks trying to sell me warranty/packages and then they backed off after they found that I am not interested in their additional packages. Thankfully for his efforts, General Sales Manager tried to remedy issue he offered tires at $700. I told him that I lost confidence dealing with their branch. I won't deal with them even if I get back tires for free. I'd rather pay more and deal with more reliable/credible Mazda dealer. read more

The finance manager is a bully. Be very sure of yourself and don't go alone. Make sure you know which discounts you qualify for and print them from the Mazda Canada website (Graduate and Loyalty programs). They will not ask you and when you ask them they will not give you an explanation as to why they won't honour them. If I didn't like the car so much (2015 CX-5) I would have cancelled the whole deal and walked away. And make sure all of your communication is in email so that you have a copy of everything that's been said and promised. Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware read more

Been buying Kia cars since they were introduced to Canada in 1999. First one was from Gateway Kia on Richmond Road (Dilawri). Next 2 were from KIA417. Then we started getting them from Bank St Kia (Dilawri) My youth and naivety didn't recognize the cookie cutter way they do business. Now, it's plain as day. I realize that there's a common way of doing business at the Dilawri Group of companies. Sell cars as if your selling shoes. Clearly it works for them. They've been around a long time. The number of Dilawri badged vehicles I see around town is staggering. Good for them. That's not how I like to purchase a car anymore. I've grown past that impulse to buy on emotion. Hard sell tactics disgust me. And, after 15 years of buying Kia's, I think I'm ready for something else. One thing is for sure, I will never buy ANYTHING from the Dilawri group ever again. Recently they had a Mini Cooper on the lot that interested me. My mechanic pointed out a number of issues with it. When this got discussed with the dealer, they were rude, insulting, and ignorant. Never again will I deal with a Dilawri dealer, regardless of make, or how good the deal is. Live and learn. read more

I bought my brand new Mazda 3 a few years ago from the Mazda dealership on Bank Street. I paid extra for the extended warrantee because the guy who sold me the car had convinced me it was a good idea but it is the biggest scam and waste of money. I liked my car at first but then I started noticing that there was something wrong with the window and door on the driver's side. I would play my music (not overly loud) and the whole door would rattle. I thought it was just the speaker on that side so I got someone to drive my car and I sat on the passenger side but that window/door was fine and I couldn't hear any rattling. The only way to get rid of the sound was to put my window down a little - that's the only way the whole door wouldn't rattle. As soon as it started happening I brought it in and they investigated the situation but couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. I had to go back again because this was a BRAND NEW CAR and there is absolutely no reason for such an issue to be happening so early on. I went back a few times and the manager at the time, I think his name was Robbie, was really nice and was trying different things but every time they tried something, it never fixed the issue. SO I decided to go back again and there was a new manager and he said there was nothing they could do. So I just bought a brand new car, paid for the useless extended warrantee and they can't even fix or replace the car? It's absolutely ridiculous that I spent over 20grand on a car that was not working properly from the start. They don't care about their customers, all they care about is selling their cars and that's it. They don't understand that this is an on-going relationship between the client and the dealership. Now I have to drive my brand new car with the window down in the winter and in the rain - how is this acceptable? People buy brand new cars to avoid issues but I started having issues from the start! On top of that, I go in regularly to get my car serviced (the only good thing that came from the warrantee). The last time I went in I dealt with a really grumpy man who looked like he hated his job. I asked him to call me as soon as the car was ready because I needed to go somewhere right after. He took down my phone number and said he would call. I ran into a friend who was dropping her car for service too and I invited her to join me and my friend. She came with us and we were gone for a while and she got a phone call about her car being ready even though my appointment was before hers. How does this make sense? We drove all the way back to the dealership and I still hadn't received a call. I left negative feedback about my experience and someone left me a voicemail apologizing which was nice, I appreciated that but I honestly can't wait for my services to end so I never have to deal with this dealership again. Every time someone asks me about my car and about this dealership I tell them what happened to me. I will keep telling everyone I know about the horrible service I received at Bank Street Mazda. read more

Once they have your deposit, and even if the contract is already signed, they will call you to say that they made mistakes in the numbers....If you don't accept the new price, they will mail you the deposit cheque...Then you wait....The issue is you're now legally bound to that sale contract...You can not go away, you can not take back your deposit...And that's the game they are playing! Be prepared if you deal with these guys! - They tried to sell me my car $1000 more than the price advertised on the internet. When confronted, they blamed it on Autotrader. - They then stuck $700 in admin charges on top "to keep the lights on". I refused indicating that the web page mentioned no other fees. - Vehicle leaked water thru the floorboards and the gas gauge didn't work, neither of which they would repair (also not covered by their pathetic extra warranty (which I refused to fall for) - Gas tank was completely empty. - Vehicle was not ready when I was promised - I had to make several trips before I took possession. The best service ever! Me and my girlfriend came to this dealer after having the worse service at another Mazda and we wanted to try another Mazda just in case. They gave us the best service we could have ever asked! They made sure we weren't missing anything like of we wanted something to drink or anything, they sat down with us before anything to get to know us, our needs and everything important for a car and even more! They really understood everything and gave us multiple options according to what would fit better for us and what we would've liked. We tried an SUV at first and didn't qualify for it, but because we were in need of a vehicule, they gave us a deal on their 2018 Mazda 3 just for us so that we would be able to get approved for a car and that we were going to have a good car that will last us a long time! They are the nicest people I've ever known, you feel like you're part of their family when you are there. I highly recommend it to anyone they are the best! read more

I went with a friend to purchase a car. We made a deal then proceeded to finance. The finance clerk Kevin Yang would not give us financing unless we purchase the useless extended warranty and finance insurance. We argued for over an hour. I went to the bank and got financing from them. When we got back, they wouldn't honour the $500 off. We argued again. Finally we paid for the car without the discount. My friend has a disabled girl that goes to numerous appointments every week. Her car was having transmission issues, so she needs the car. When we picked up the car the tires were bald and they didn't tint the back windows properly. We are still awaiting the outcome of a bbb complaint for a resolution. The staff were professional and courteous when I bought my car, and I'm very happy with my Mazda3. The reason I am telling you this to warn you because of mostly all the sales persons will lie to you about stuff like warranty, promotions and many more small promises they make to sell their cars. My story and horrible experience:- I went to this dealership in November 2017 with my elder brother. We bought the Mazda3 Demo from them and the finance manager convinced me to buy an extended warranty on it, so yes I bought 2 years extended warranty on it by paying an extra $1900. The sales person who's name was ALI SAID (who doesn't work there anymore) literally lied to me to sell the car and told me that you'll get the warranty starts from the day I am buying the car even though it was Demo and I BELIEVED on him, that was my biggest mistake. Then their finance manager ALI KMAIHA also told me the same thing. After driving this car for almost a year, I went for servicing to the Hawksberry Mazda and the service guy over there printed MAP (Mazda Added Protection) paper for me and he showed me that my warranty is expiring almost 14 months before it should be actually. I contacted MAZDA CANADA about this issue and they said they will try to contact the dealership to resolve this issue. They are trying from last six months and Bank Street Manager was supposed to call me last week about this, but as usual, they never did and I am still waiting for their call (I hope someone will get in touch with me after reading this review). I asked for free winter tires with the vehicle as part of the deal what he did is changing me for the tires and told me that the tires are free with the vehicle. the other thing he insulted my choice of vehicle (my current vehicle) and told me when I tried to negotiate with him that people comes to Mazda to usually purchase vehicle not to negotiate. Bear in mind that a car dealership is two departments: sales and service. So my 4 stars is purely for the service department where I take my car to be serviced, and its great. Dealerships are always busy, so I expect a bit of a wait (especially in the morning) but the service manager is a kind, honest, hardworking guy. The sales department here however is ATROCIOUS (though I don't have a high view of salesmen in general). They do and say anything to get a deal (whether its true or not) and take information from the service department to call you up for deals etc. Here's a dirty little secret of theirs: they hire young women to make calls to people and leave messages that don't say it is Mazda calling. instead they simply say "Hey it Jessica, call me back." I have it on good internal authority that they hope to get more callbacks from men thinking it is some young attractive woman calling about....well, not business. Well I was waiting for medical test results, and as the message didn't say who it was and I could't think of anyone else who would be calling I realized it must be the doctor's office, and that they usually only call if there's something bad from the test to break to you. When I nervously called back I got some young sales guy at Mazda trying to buy my car from me for nest to nothing, though trying to make it sound like a deal. The owner of the place, Shiv Dilawri, is a cold heartless businessman to use tactics like that. Therefore there sales department is scum-like and the service department is quite good and reliable. read more
