Bank Street is a great place for food, drinks and dancing. Every time my partner and I visit Ocala, we spend Friday and Saturday nights here. The crowd has folks of all ages and ethnicities. The music is usually dance-friendly hip hop and RnB, and the DJs get people out on the floor. Coming from the Northeast in December, the open air space is a welcome change. I've only had one meal here, and it was great. But the real magic is the crowd of people dancing. The waitstaff and manager are friendly and accommodating. The bartenders are sometimes slammed, so it might take a few minutes to place a drink order. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone who likes to dance to Usher, Mary J and Cardi B. read more

Safe option for something quick to eat, not something I have to try again. Also, someone in our party ordered a chicken club which was came out cut in half, only one half had chicken on it, we let our waiter know and she said she would send the manager out, that never happened. My family and I came here for dinner around 7:45pm with our other family friends, making for a group of 8. We were seated immediately and even though we were able to find seats, there seemed to be a lot of people inside. It was very lively and the atmosphere was very aesthetic. The scenery was very picturesque. We were helped by Kyle, our waiter for the night. He was very nice! I ordered a Build your own Bank Burger which mine consisted of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, swiss cheese and for an additional $2, an egg. Kyle asked me how I wanted it done, so you should be ready with how you like your eggs made, should you choose to add it on. The food came out relatively quick. The burger was decent and the egg was runny which I personally prefer. Even with the egg, however, the burger didn't really impress me too much. There was also a small portion of fries on the plate. The added vegetables in the burger were very minimal- only one small piece of each. There was a live DJ in the back playing a variety of music. Some remixes were interesting, but there was a good batch of songs in there. There's a parking structure nearby with 2-3 floors of parking. It's packed in there considering that all this is located in downtown Ocala where things can get busy at night. I should also add that with a group of 8 or more, you are automatically charged a gratuity fee of 20%. read more

Another place to try since moving to the area. Bank Street was actually at the top of my list initially but I was turned off by the reviews regarding the extremely slow service. Our main motivation for visiting here is that it is pet friendly outside. We decided to stop here after we went to the Downtown Market. We had our dog with us so it was a perfect opportunity. Plus, it was afternoon time so we figured it would be less busy. We were seated quickly on the patio but in direct sun. Luckily it was not super hot out and it motivated us to not stay long after we ate. It took some time for a server to greet us and just as long to receive our drinks. It was not that busy. Hubs and I both ordered the All Day Breakfast Burger. I ordered the Strawberry Fields cocktail and hubs ordered a beer. Like I said earlier, our drinks took a good 15 minutes at least to arrive. Not quite the restaurant's fault but we were seated next to the fence where this family of like 6 kids thought it would be cool to keep running over and playing in the section a couple feet from us. Of course my dog becomes reactive at time to running, screaming, and hitting so she was not having a good time. Not fair to her, considering it was not a playground. Our food finally arrives and I was upset because the cheese was melted onto the egg-I was going to give the egg to my husband instead of ordering it without because it was already included into the price. Not anyone's fault but I thought the cheese would be melted on to the burger, like in most restaurants. Neither of us thought the burgers were unique or of great quality. I have obtained some friends in Ocala and some have requested we all meet up here but I am always hesitant given my first experience. I am definitely willing to try it again and possibly sit inside. I think next time I visit, it will be for a friendly gathering with drinks, not food. read more

Worst bar in ocala. I had family over and wanted to show them a good time in town. I've been to bank street a few times but I don't think I'll ever bring people back. While inside we found 3 dead bugs on the bar counter and we decided to move outside, where Emily the bartender ruined our night. My wife miss read the closing time and thought the bar closed at 11pm when it actually ended at 10pm. Instead of telling us the bar was closing she began to yell at us, in front of 15 other patrons, to "stop playing cornhole", as we were enjoying the on-site cornhole area. I asked why she was upset and she began to yell about handling a busy night. I requested to speak with a manager and she told me "Suck a dick" while in ear shot of children. Other patrons spoke to me outside the bar and complained about Emily's outburst and Rex recommended more professional bars, like infinite ale, tipsy skipper and the lodge. Even thought I used to attend this bar frequently Emily's poor service and disgusting outburst, on top of the health hazard of dead bugs inside has turned me and my family away from this once decent bar. Came across this Patio Bar while we were visiting the Light Up Ocala Xmas Fest. As soon as I walked in, I loved it. It's very spacious and open and a really cool patio bar/beer garden vibe. They have lots of chairs tables, benches, couches, comfy chairs and a fun band was playing. Decided it would be a cool spot to rest our feet, grab a drink, and listen to the band. Then five minutes later they did so we changed it back, just for the chicken and waffles to be the most plain, bland dish with barely any sauce or syrup. I absolutely destroyed an order of buffalo wings. We split the pepperoni flat bread cause its a serious portion. I knew i wanted to save room for the Salad because we were trying to eat more salad. The Cobb Salad is HUGE. There were Rolls of turkey, and Rolls of ham, the shrimp were my first three bites, and they were gone super fast. The vibes were very chill with live music playing in the background and nice graffiti art. Plenty of seating and space to choose from. However, the service was horrible and slow. The waitresses visibly were annoyed with one another and showed it when taking our order. We had to keep looking around to get their attention when we needed something. Our table was never cleared when food was finished and flies started to gather. We even put napkins over the plates to show they were done. We have been to Bank Street 6 or 7 times now. While the atmosphere is amazing, the food is sub par at best and the service is horrible! We were there for about an hour and a half today. They had 2 servers waiting on about 30 tables. It was ridiculous. We were never offered beverage refills, waited an hour for terrible food, watched as a food runner wandered around with our order for 5 minutes trying to figure out who it belonged to and had to go up to the bar to pay because our server never brought our check.
