We settled on Idaho Central credit Union because it has a good reputation and Idaho, and we have a lot of friends and family members who utilize them. We went to the Coeur d'Alene branch to get the account set up and the personal banker that helped us was absolutely phenomenal. She was super helpful did an excellent job of helping us get everything set up. I also was very stressed and rushed during the whole interaction and she did a great job dealing with me and still making sure that everything got done. Her name is Katherine Caldwell and she was absolutely awesome. Everybody else who's helped us at this branch has also been super helpful and thoughtful. We've had a great experience every time we've been in. Just be aware this location is not open on Saturdays.

ICCU has figured out a way to add credit card debt to car loans after bankruptcy. Shady and isn't allowed with other financial institutions; just this credit union. Their online banking is atrocious, literally a throw back to 20 years ago. Their app is also terrible. I just had a mobile deposit get declined, yet no explanation for why. I tried calling to determine what the issue was..... Got an our of country call center. I've never had a deposit declined by Wells Fargo, Capital One, or my Credit Union. The only reason I bank here is because my uncle did and I set up his estate account here. I can hardly wait to close that account and wash by hands of MW.

When I needed to…read morerefinance my car, the Global staff went above and beyond that to save me money and provided me with perks with their checking rewards. They not only got me lower payments on my vehicle, they gave me a checking account to easily pay my car loan through my mobile app, and signed me up for a credit card to balance transfer all of my other high rate credit cards over (Which I can also transfer money easily to in two clicks on the mobile app!) This has saved me so much money, and all of my finances are organized now! So grateful that their employees actually care for their members.

I'd make regular payment and some would go toward the principal and interest. Once everything started to be managed by Alaska they changed the statement date ans due dates so basically now my entire payment would only go toward interest. Look at any other credit union besides this one, I ended up going with Gesa and doing a loan with them to pay off that one since they Global now is so horrible. Gesa is doing the loan right which is how Global was doing it before Alaska took over.

Horrific customer service and poor attitude…read more I went in and would need a banker to process a transaction (not a teller). They said they were too busy and I'd have to come back. The person was sitting there chatting up an employee, not working. I told them I needed this to happen today. They said I'm more than welcome to close my account. Bank of America had no problem taking care of my request. It took 5 minutes and they did it with a smile.
