To add insulation to our garage, I called several companies. When I called Izzy's Insulation, I…read morespoke with Milton who is the owner/installer. He took the time to listen and recommended insulation for the garage attic. I received a very reasonable quote within an hour and when I called back to schedule an appointment, he answered the phone and scheduled the installation within a few days. The morning of appointment I received a text msg, indicating ETA for his arrival. He and his co-worker did a great job installing over 13" of insulation in our garage attic! He took before and after pictures of our attic. The inside temperature of our garage feels much better now. This is a small owner-operated business who knows how to take care of their customers. I highly recommend them!

Thought I could cool my garage down below 120 by adding insulation over garage ceiling. Builder…read morehad not put any. Sent out for quotes through Yelp for several providers. A couple even came by to look at the job site and make recommendations about the type of installation they thought I needed. After talking to four or five firms, Milton from Izzy's insulation reached out to me and made the most practical recommendation based on my unique situation. We ended up going with a blown in fiberglass insulation of R 38 and 13 inches. His price was the best by a few bucks, but I particularly liked his practical recommendations, and so ended up using him. He booked me out a week later and showed up exactly on time and had the job done in just a couple hours. He even provided me with before and after pictures that I can use when I submit my taxes for an energy tax credit. Very straightforward and honest service I recommend if you're looking for installation to talk to him at least. As it ended up the insulation did basically nothing to help with the temperature in my garage. If others are looking to do the same thing, I tell you to look at a combination of insulation for your ceiling, walls if needed, and the inside of your garage door these metal garage doors really radiate a lot of heat into the garage.

**TL;DR:** Hired Cool Spaces based on reviews. They broke two holes in my ceiling, spread dust…read moreeverywhere, botched cleanup repeatedly, and the rooms are hotter now than before. They're apologetic and fairly priced, and seem like good people -- but execution was a mess. Half our house lacked insulation after a prior renovation, making the kitchen/living area ~5° hotter than the bedrooms, forcing us to run the AC at 72° for our baby. Cool Spaces had great reviews, so I hired them to remove old insulation and blow in new insulation to 18 1/2 inches. With a 19-month-old and a baby due October 2026, it made sense to do it now. They arrived on time, only needing the garage cleared. I covered items under the attic access with a tarp. A few hours in, a worker stepped through the garage ceiling drywall -- the same spot my plumber had broken and temporarily patched the week before, which I'd specifically flagged. Later that day, another worker broke through the ceiling again, directly above the home office where my pregnant wife and I were working, with our toddler asleep next door. They apologized, covered the hole with cardboard, and told me to leave it as is. Owner Lucas personally called to apologize ("stuff happens"), which I appreciated and accepted -- I'm not one to get angry easily. But the cardboard wasn't sealed properly, and dust poured into the office and spread through the house: master bedroom, bathroom, everywhere. My wife and daughter had to leave; when they returned, we were all coughing. They finished that night, apologized again, and promised to return the next day for the bagged-up old insulation. They didn't show. The garage was left covered in dust and insulation, my tarp tossed aside, no real cleanup effort made. The bags sat in my driveway for days, blocking my trash cans and forcing me to haul cans out over rocks near the baby's room. By Friday, one bag had torn, spilling insulation into my yard and my neighbor's. I cleaned it up myself after a text request. Their drywall guy did come out that day, though, and did excellent, contained work fixing the ceiling holes -- I really appreciated that. Pickup finally happened Saturday, by which point the tear had become a major spill across the driveway. They also blocked my driveway during pickup, when they could've parked their trailer elsewhere. Residual dust and insulation remained after they left. They were quick to auto-draft payment but never checked in about my experience or offered any goodwill given the extra cleanup work I was left with -- especially since the rooms are now hotter than before the job. A promised follow-up inspection to verify the 18 1/2-inch fill never happened either. **Bottom line:** Good people, fair price, good intentions -- but they need better site prep, on-the-spot fixes instead of after-the-fact apologies, and reliable follow-through before I'd call them top-tier.
