Thought I could cool my garage down below 120 by adding insulation over garage ceiling. Builder had not put any. Sent out for quotes through Yelp for several providers. A couple even came by to look at the job site and make recommendations about the type of installation they thought I needed. After talking to four or five firms, Milton from Izzy's insulation reached out to me and made the most practical recommendation based on my unique situation. We ended up going with a blown in fiberglass insulation of R 38 and 13 inches. His price was the best by a few bucks, but I particularly liked his practical recommendations, and so ended up using him. He booked me out a week later and showed up exactly on time and had the job done in just a couple hours. He even provided me with before and after pictures that I can use when I submit my taxes for an energy tax credit. Very straightforward and honest service I recommend if you're looking for installation to talk to him at least. As it ended up the insulation did basically nothing to help with the temperature in my garage. If others are looking to do the same thing, I tell you to look at a combination of insulation for your ceiling, walls if needed, and the inside of your garage door these metal garage doors really radiate a lot of heat into the garage. read more

I had an unusual job: I wanted insulation blown into a section of attic that was not accessible, except that I was having the ceiling HVAC unit replaced, so there was a one-time opportunity to make energy improvements. I spoke with three other insulation contractors, two of whom would not bid the job without being able to see the attic. Milton was willing to take the job, quoted me a reasonable price, arrived on time, took time to protect the open ducts from fiberglass, and cleaned up afterwards. Just bought a house and the AC was cycling pretty frequently. I had multiple companies come out to see what could be done. The consensus was that my insulation was insufficient in the attic. My R value was way too low. Three quotes came in to do the same work, and the estimates were wildly different. Izzy's didn't try to upsell or negotiate at all. They were very direct in saying that there was more they could do, but that the return on investment wouldn't be worth it. I went with them and was glad I did. My experience with Izzy's was 5 star start to finish. While you can't completely judge a book by its cover there are instances where the cover gives a pretty good indication of what's inside. Within hours of my first call Milton returned it and scheduled a visit for an estimate. He arrived on time, inspected the job and got necessary information to prepare his quote. He fully explained options, his process, and why he recommended what he did. His estimate arrived when he said it would and I accepted it. We agreed on a date and several days ahead of the date he verified that it worked for me. He showed up at the appointed time in a presentable vehicle with his equipment and materials in tow. It was easy to see that his equipment was neatly stored and well cared for. All of this was the cover. The job was done in a workmanlike manner and neatness and cleanliness were excellent. If you need insulation this is the company you want to hire!! It was a pleasure talking with the office as well as Milton who is the owner/installer. They took the time to listen to my concerns about updating the insulation in our home which was the original from when it was built in 1978. In addition, all my questions were answered and while I do not speak technical jargon, I was able to understand the specifics and benefits of the specific product that would be installed in my attic. I received a written quote within 24 hours which was reasonable and better priced then some other companies out there. There was no pressure to make a decision and after all my research and having received solid answers to my questions, I was satisfied and went ahead and scheduled the insulation installation for March 26. Within a couple days of doing so, I received a phone call that Milton had an earlier opening on the calendar so he came out and actually did the install on March 19! The morning of March 19, he sent me a text with an ETA and arrived on time. Milton has a great personality, is very knowledgeable, and did a great job installing over 13" of insulation in our old attic! The inside temperature of our house feels great and is now consistent no matter which room you are in. He took before and after pictures of our attic and wow, there's quite a bit of difference...not to mention, it saved me the aggravation of dragging my middle-aged body up in there. :-) With the temps now starting to get up into the mid to high 90's in Phoenix, I am very happy with the product. read more

I called Izzy's Insulation based on other reviews. Of the 5 companies I called, Milton (the owner) was the first to call me back...within 20 minutes! Two other co. couldn't come give me an estimate for a week, but Milton came the next day. He was on time, professional, informative, wore identifying clothing & ID on his truck (so NOT fly-by-night), polite, friendly and just a super nice man! I'd done some online research & asked him about various products I'd read. He listed pros & cons; even telling me which items I did not need. He said "I don't believe in upselling just to make more money, I built my business by giving good service & giving customers what they really need." WOW! The estimate from Izzy was fairly priced. (One other co. gave me a bit lower est. but they didn't call me back for a week. On the day of service, I had expected him to want to back his truck in close to the garage, but he said the blower might blow dust into the house so he preferred to park out on the street, keeping the insulation, dust & noise away from my house. I was prepared to sweep away debris so my dog wouldn't track it inside my house, but after blowing in the insulation, Milton used his leaf blower to clean debris from my garage and carport.
