I can't say enough about their kindness, efficiency, and prompt responses. They put customers first. Their follow through on helping my business apply for & obtain the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loan during this extremely difficult time was top notch. Due to being unable to apply for the PPP Loan through BofA where I've banked for 20 years, a friend told me that CalB&T was allowing new customers to open a business bank account with them and then allowing them to immediately apply for the PPP Loan. I e-mailed CalB&T's Tom Kuo inquiring on Sunday 4/26. I communicated throughout Monday 4/27 with Tom on my new account set up and Josh Hill regarding my PPP Loan application (I was able to fill out the application on Monday). I set up an in-person SAFE (social distancing with masks & limited # of people inside the bank) appointment for Tuesday 4/28 to sign the new business bank accounts documents with Tom & Josh submitted my PPP Loan application before I even arrived back home. Josh gave me his personal cell phone, so that as I had questions filling out the application (even at night) I wouldn't be alone. The SBA approved my PPP Loan application on Thursday 4/30 & my loan funded same day! THIS IS AN AMAZING TURNAROUND TIME for those of you dealing with these SBA Loans! The service provided by Tom Kuo and Josh Hill is next level. I could not be happier with California Bank & Trust and will now be a customer for life! 5-star doesn't even cut it!

That said when it came to opening at 10am (who the hell opens at 10am?? that's not bankers hours) employees started to show up at 10:03am.. Good job.!!! Then find somebody that has time to acknowledge our appointment, thank you SOO much.. Tell us that we don't have acceptable ID... Had to leave, no help.. Before we made a 20 min drive home wife was able to open our joint checking online without any of the misfit employees help... My opinion, fire all these asshats that don't want to help aquire new clients, much less do their job that the internet can do without hassle or an appointment days/weeks out... What is wrong with this place..

I should've stayed and forced them call the police on me so they could investigate. I even asked them to call the number on file to confirm the legitimacy of the check. Refused to clarify on the issue and/or offer alternatives on solving the issue. Enjoy your minimum wage jobs you wanna be banker pricks. I actually work in the financial industry at a hedge fund and this is not how you treat your clients. Exactly reason why I don't bank with the McDonald's of Banks. Just unfortunate that the check was with your bs establishment.

Every time I walk through the door, I'm greeted warmly, and that small gesture alone sets the tone for a great experience. This particular small branch is ideal for quick, efficient transactions. It's never overcrowded, and there's always enough staff on hand to assist you promptly--something I truly appreciate in today's fast-paced world. While they don't offer all the services of a larger or full-service branch, they're excellent for basic banking needs like deposits, withdrawals, or account assistance. One thing to note: there are no public restrooms, so keep that in mind if you plan to be there for more than a few minutes. If you need more in-depth banking services or consultations, I'd recommend the La Mesa branch--but for quick in-and-outs with top-notch service, this location is a favorite of mine. Navy Federal continues to make me feel like more than just an account number--they make me feel like a valued member which places great value on this institution for me. Ps they do share a parking lot with Panera Bread and Chase bank so be prepared to look for parking and also parking places are much narrow which gives this place for me. 4 star.

This is for the Navy Federal in Santee not the one on Fletcher Parkway…read more I just couldn't find the one in San If I can rate that branch, I would give it a -50 Hands-down, we've had the worst experience. I have personally ever experienced in a bank and we've been with the Navy Federal Bank for 30 years. My mother is elder Bedford. Her debit card wasn't working. She hasn't drove a vehicle in 20 years. They wanted her to get a identification card, which is fine. That took a week remind you there's no food for her. There's no medicine for her. There's nothing her kids had to figure something out the following week go back into the branch. They literally give this 80 year-old elder so much obstacles just to unlock her debit card and get her money, it was absolutely asinine the disrespect we got from that branch and the people working there was diabolical. Again on her son, and they looked at me like I was literally a criminal who should not be in there when in fact, I'm the one who's been taking care of my mother for the last 20 years I took days off work to go in there to solve this issue so we can get her medicine. They told us basically go get another bank account from another financial institution find 16 different forms of identification, even though the woman told us she knows my mom was the woman but there's policy and that's the problem. Navy Federal's policy basically is elder abuse it needs to change because there's no way an elder woman should be waiting almost 2 weeks to get her money and then go back in to have more obstacles to have to deal with just to identify her even though the branch lady says she knows the woman in front of her is the same woman. Again, I'm going to go as high as I can to complain because these people just shoved us out the door and could care less I highly advise nobody to ever go to that branch or ever deal with Navy Federal again we had to go to another bank to open up another checking account to come back to Navy Federal to prove identity. Absolutely I diabolical the new. Bank looked at it like we were idiots why would they want you to do all of this just to identify an elder that's been with the branch for 28 years are you kidding me. These people are evil and they don't care at all and all they tell you sorry it's policy. It's policy. Hands-down, the worst financial institution on this planet is the branch in Santee Navy Federal.

She informed me exactly what was needed and I wrote down everything she requested, word for word. I live an hour and 20 minutes away from the nearest branch and wanted to make sure before I made the drive. I woke up early on my only day off on a Saturday morning, drove an hour and a half, and waited 45 minutes before being told that I didn't bring the correct documentation and that I couldn't be helped. I advised the assistant branch manager that I brought everything the branch manager told me to bring. She just held her hands up and said there was nothing she could do. There was absolutely no apology or empathy. Take your business elsewhere. I have dealt with this horrible service and "don't give a crud" attitude MANY times at this branch. Find yourself another credit union. Don't waste your time here. They obviously don't give a heck about their customers. I used to love SDCCU. Now, they're just like any other big bank. It's all about the money... ***Edited 45 min later to add that I drove down the street to another bank & they were able to use all of the documentation I brought with me to open an account at their bank, with no problem whatsoever. So I don't know if the El Cajon SDCCU branch is racist, like another review noted, or if they are just severely incompetent. Either way- take your business elsewhere!!!
