It was the most awkward encounter and to make things worse when o did get service she was rude. Furthering this experience, I made a comment on their facebook to only have it deleted. At the end of the day Solarity lacks genuine customer service, and could care less about complaints since they like to delete them and based on their yelp review I can see I am not the only unhappy customer. Sadly to say I will be closing my 15 plus year relationship with them and taking my business elsewhere.

This is all while putting out commercials, billboards, and statements about how they offer wonderful customer service. I saw an appalling transaction in the lobby on Summitview in which an elderly woman who had been a customer for decades (she said so) was begging for help, and they just kept telling her how she was now responsible to do everything herself, through the ATM. At the end, in the face of all of her frustration and fear, they smiled at her and said, "Is there anything else we can do to help you?" I felt like going up to the staff member and saying, "What was the first thing you did to help her? You have to help her first, before there can be something else you can do to help." Maybe I should have. We have slowly moved our accounts out, and know several others who have done the same. The leadership seems bent on making this an internet bank instead of a credit union, which is supposed to be there to help its members and not to function like a big bank. Now Solarity functions worse than a big bank. Big banks, for the most part, still have people in the lobby who will help with deposits and withdrawals, and real drive-throughs that are staffed. Solarity now builds buildings to house ATMs that you must use yourself. Now that's customer service! In my life, I have never seen another go so far downhill as Solarity. The saddest part is that it seems to be, it must be, by design.

This was suggested to me by my own bank. Heritage is my Aunt's bank, though not this particular one. This is the one I was unfortunate enough to have used. The first teller was professional, but didn't know what to do, and so the second teller had to step in as well. It was awkward as I was in between the two and there was no one else to handle the other guests. Finally the newer staff made the suggestion that the senior take over so she could handle the other patrons. This senior staff was not entirely professional. She was calling my Aunt for verification and I told her that she might not answer quickly, as she's sick, and asked if her letter worked/helped at all. She said, "Her handwriting looks good for someone whose sick." WTF is that supposed to mean?! So sorry my terminally ill Aunt doesn't have the shaky, end of age handy writing you'd expect? She made several other backhanded comments about me and how I was stealing from or taking advantage of my Aunt. Ended up leaving before I bit her head off. When my Aunt was home later that night, I told her what happened and she called the bank directly. Now I'm just making sure everyone knows what happened and how you'll be treated here. What if I'd gone out of town and stopped for gas. couldn't use it at an ATM. What had I flown somewhere, that I do often, and stuck in an airport, no card no cash. what if I'd gone to lunch and couldn't pay the bill? It's percieved as a fraudulent card and I get arrested? Guess who I'm suing? I've been with the same CU for 50 years, through changes of hand several times until it turned into GESA. I've worked with the same Loan Mgr, Ken Hargrove, for 30 years. Then I see all these bad reviews from others. I'm out! If I get any cancellations or fees from autopay, guess who's paying??
