Unfortunately, my experience was frustrating from start to finish. The first red flag was communication. It took nearly two weeks for my call to be returned- they don't answer the phone and each time I called, I had to leave a message. And, when I later called with a simple question, I was left on hold for more than 10 minutes. The office also sends text messages under the name of a dentist there who passed away nearly two years ago- which was both confusing and unprofessional. Wow, who's managing that?! The appointment itself did not improve my impression. Despite having a scheduled consultation, I waited almost an hour before the doctor finally came into the room. There was no meaningful acknowledgment of the delay or respect for my time. Most disappointing was the consultation itself. Rather than focusing on my TMJ concerns and discussing the full range of treatment options, the conversation quickly turned into a sales pitch for a sleep apnea mouth guard--something I neither requested nor came in to discuss. By the end of the appointment, the only solution presented was yet another mouth appliance. All the pricing was ready for me for something that I did not request nor was interested in exploring- "Just sign here." - NOT. I specifically wanted to explore whether surgery or other treatments might be a more appropriate option for my condition, but that discussion was largely dismissed. As I've always been encouraged to and easily have in the past, I wanted to take my X-rays with me for another opinion. In fact, the Dr.'s assistant said they would be happy to burn a disk or I can bring in a jump drive to facilitate this. However, on my way to pick up my X-rays as I arranged the day before, I was completely caught off guard and surprised to learn that obtaining a copy of my own X-rays on a disc would cost an additional $30-$35- they weren't quite sure. This fee was not posted nor ever disclosed beforehand and it felt like another unnecessary charge and a money grab, plain and simple. I left with the strong impression that the practice is focused more on selling old-school technology appliances rather than providing an objective evaluation of TMJ problems. Between the poor communication, long wait times, surprise fees, unprofessional office management and the sales-oriented consultation, I cannot recommend this office to anyone seeking a comprehensive TMJ assessment.

An elderly woman came in on a mobile scooter that had died and after she checked in up front, the receptionist did not offer to help push her or move her, so she was left sitting there. I then got up and offered to help move her scooter. I assisted her with finding an outlet and plugging it in to get it charging, but something wasn't working right with her charger. My name got called to then go back for my appointment and I walked up to the woman who was the receptionist and asked if she could help the older woman out. The receptionist clearly saw me helping her before, looked at me and said nothing, and got up, very annoyed to then go and try to help the woman. I even told the medical assistant about it, as she asked me if the woman needed help, and she thanked me for letting her know, so it sounded as if they might have issues with this woman frequently. I can't believe someone in a healthcare facility was not willing or happy to help this woman. Terrible service and care!

I received almost $300 statements with claims they did not send into my insurance from over 2 months ago. It is unacceptable that they would wait this long to complete a claim, then dump a huge bill at once on a patient because they care more about making a profit over providing care. Their billing employee is also extremely disrespectful and rude, which is completely unacceptable for a mental health provider. A complete lack of empathy after If they would have communicated this at all prior or even immediately after my appointment I would've looked for another provider. They also failed to communicate new legislation that requires them to see patients on a controlled substance on a monthly basis, so if you're already paying triple digits every 3 months don't expect them to tell you to start preparing to pay that every month. Every provider I have worked with from here is great, but the administrative and billing department is absolutely atrocious.

The Cardiologist issued his release for surgery, all blood work is sent over. Apparently NO one is checking the patient portal where I have sent test documentation and requested 6 times for an appointment nor have they responded to a single voice mail message since last week. I managed to get through to Dr Rothman's Assistant on Thursday ONLY to be told she had not received any voice mails and has not had time to check the patient portal. I even emailed documents directly over to her. This is ridiculous.
