Alex, not only helps me heal physically, he has also helped me heal emotionally by explaining what I am going through. He is also a good listener. Paul is really knowledgeable about my condition. His insight is unmatched. I'm 52 years old and I have never had my neck cracked. After he did it one time, I can tell you that it's the best feeling I've ever had. I actually kinda wished my neck was cracked everyday. Amanda is really concerned about my progress. She measures my grip all the time and pushes me to do more every session. And my grip has significantly improved. She was also kind enough to get me a traction for my neck, even though I've never asked for. It's really helping me at home when I do my exercises. Today I felt happy coz the receptionists knows my name. Most medical people just see you as patients and nothing else. They are so easy to work with when it comes to scheduling and they are very accommodating and pleasant. Going back to my 22 years in the medical field what sets the staff here above the rest, is in one word, empathy. After my session I was in the parking lot and the guy said, aren't they great. I paid almost $300 for an initial assessment. I waited painfully in the waiting room seeing the staff talking amongst themselves while they were doing treatments. One staff member was using the patient machines. My assigned physical therapist finally came to greet me 20 minutes after my appointment start time. He looked me over for about 5 minutes then put me onto exercises. The whole time I was doing them, he was talking personal patient information with another staff member right in front of me. He wandered around chattering with the other staff. Not paying any attention to me to see if I was doing my exercises correctly or needed guidance. Even while he was massaging my back I could see him gesturing to another staff member while I was talking to him. I paid good money to come get one on one care to improve my acute back pain, to only receive the complete opposite. I ended up canceling all my future appointments to go to a different facility. The receptionist was so kind when I called to cancel that I didn't have the heart to tell her the real reason I didn't want to return. I was going to let it be. Then I received an additional bill stating I owed more money for that absolutely terrible assessment! I couldn't believe it. It saddens me to see that this is an acceptable level of care and service at this facility by licensed practitioners. I hope the managers see this and try to improve for any future pain suffers that may come to your facility.

From 2 weeks before 1st visit to 18 visits over the past 5 weeks we were "waiting" for their business office to get the prior auth, so they had us pay the cash-pay rate. They have yet to even request a prior Auth from insurance, have yet to return any of the 10 calls with messages (live person taking message, entering "ticket" and saying "someone will call you back today"). Zero calls back from billing business office. Zero calls back from clinic director or leadership. They lied. Misrepresented to the patient that they would get the prior Auth. They never even tried. Insurance has verified repeatedly that it was never even attempted.

Extremely disappointed with ATI Physical Therapy and their billing practices…read more Before I even scheduled my first appointment, I specifically asked them to verify my insurance and tell me exactly what my cost would be per visit. I was told it would be approximately $60. I intentionally waited several days for them to verify my insurance information before moving forward because I wanted to know the cost upfront. At my first visit, I was charged $65. It was $5 more than quoted, but I didn't make an issue of it. Now, approximately 25 days later, ATI is trying to charge me an ADDITIONAL $95 for that same visit. That brings the total cost of ONE physical therapy visit to $160. When I called customer service, I was told the original $65 was supposedly only a "deposit." That was NEVER explained to me. Had I been told that $65 was simply a deposit and that I could later be billed another $95, I would have never agreed to the appointment. What makes this especially frustrating is that I specifically asked for the cost BEFORE scheduling and gave them time to verify everything with my insurance. Their customer service experience only made the situation worse. Patients deserve transparency about what they are agreeing to pay. Quoting someone around $60, collecting $65 at the appointment, and then nearly a month later billing another $95 is completely unacceptable to me. I would absolutely NOT recommend ATI Physical Therapy based on my experience. If you decide to use them, I strongly recommend getting your expected TOTAL cost in writing before receiving any services.
