What a great experience! We enjoyed staying in a covered wagon. It was definitely nostalgic feeling, but more of a "glamping" experience due to the fridge, microwave, coffee maker, shower and toilet. The A/C was nice and cold!! Initially the sewage stench was foul when the shower turned on, but after a minute it dissipated and was fine. We didn't interact with much staff as the email gave all the info we needed to get in, but the people I did interact with (lady on the phone for reservation) and (man at gift shop) were very accommodating and friendly. The grounds were simple and beautiful, I'd stay here again.

I found this place by accident and would up staying for the weekend. Me and Chase made me feel like I was at home immediately but the tiny house experience is so unique. It evokes a childlike excitement when you walk in with all the adult amenities. The "general store" sells alcohol and snacks and has 2 pool tables. ... love the rustic feel.

What a nice hidden gem. Great campground with different campsites, tiny homes and wagons to rent. The donkeys are so cool. The haunted trail trough the orchard was awesome!! Great staff! Thank you Todd. Steve and Misty

Stayed at site M3 based on the campsite next to us having a sign that said M4. No sign at our spot. Check in on a Tuesday and out on Friday. This campground has so much potential; it's a shame that things go sour for the amenities. The bathroom and showers were disgusting. We turned on the water in the showers and sink, but no hot water even after running for a good five minutes or so. The weather was cold for two of the days we were there, and with no hot water and disgusting showers, we had to go into Julian and get a hotel room at Julian Lodge which btw had great staff and good rooms. We went back to the campsite on Thursday knowing we didn't need to shower so we only had to deal with the toilet which wasn't as bad. It wasn't until Friday when someone came to clean them. And their standard of 'clean' was abysmal. Admittedly, there were only two campsites in use, but still would have been nice to know they cared about us tent camping customers enough to clean every day like most campgrounds do. Didn't get to check out the saloon and general store areas as the hours are so limited we were gone before they opened at noon and closed when we returned at 5:30. Oh and it's only open Thurs thru Sunday. We were booked Tuesday to Friday, so it was only open for one day before we left town. Enjoyed the wild turkeys; that Tom was so handsome! The stream was nice to hear when the wind wasn't blowing too much. Seriously question the validity of all those great reviews. Maybe they weren't camping and didn't need to use the campsite facilities? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR TENT CAMPING unless you share the owner's standard for cleanliness in their bathhouse.

It is beautiful here. We rented a tiny house and next time we will stay in the covered wagons. Loved the donkeys. Brandon was super helpful.

    Bottom of one shower

The campsites here are OK, but the bathroom and shower facilities are a nightmare. Disgustingly dirty. No paper towels or hot water in the bathroom, filthy conditions. The showers were too gross to even use, and when we tested the water, couldn't get any hot water anyway. Trash hasn't been emptied in ages. Only a few other campers here, so definitely didn't fill the trash in just a few days. Their tiny houses might be OK, but if you have to use the facilities, forget it. Also, their store is not open Monday thru Wednesday, so don't count on being able to buy anything you may have forgotten. We were here 4 days and had to rent a hotel room on night just to get a shower.

We've stayed in many rentals over the years, and Two Sisters Cottage is one of the nicest. The owners are lovely people. The house has charming decorations. The gas fire place heats up the front of the house just fine. We prefer the bedrooms to be cooler for sleeping. The portable heaters work well if you need to warm up the bathroom or bedroom. The furniture and beds are comfy. We don't use the dishwasher; we hand wash our dishes. They have a TV, DVD, and plenty of games to play. They have a lovely front yard with furniture to sit under the tree and people watch. They have double-paned windows. You're right in town with easy access to shopping and eating. The people who run the shops are very nice and we always stop to visit with them. Many of the restaurants and cafes are "average" but we have found a few standouts: Romano's Italian, Soups and Such, Jeremy's on the Hill, Wynola Pizza Express, Apple Alley, and Grannies. Miner's Diner has the BEST malts and shakes ever!!! We also love the Tea House. We love Julian and Two Sisters Cottage. This is not a resort, this is a homey, small town hangout.

We lucked across Two Sisters' on Yelp, and made a last-minute reservation for two nights. Well... we loved Julian and Two Sisters' so much we wound up extending our stay to 5 days/4 nights. As an added bonus, Teri and her husband Rich were the most gracious and accommodating hosts anyone could ask for. They went over and above to make sure we were comfortable and all our needs were met. The cottage itself is spacious, yet cozy as can be. Neat as a pin and clean as a whistle...! The gas fireplace in the front room is positively delightful. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and utensils. I can't imagine why anyone would give TSC a negative review. The space heaters for the bathroom/bedrooms are quite adequate (it was quite cold outside during our stay), and there are down comforters in the closets. The neighborhood is walk/run friendly. Our dog loved it too. The price is more than reasonable for the area, and the pet fee was the least expensive we saw. I would HIGHLY recommend Two Sisters' to anyone that asks. As far as the town itself goes, we went into a number of the shops and never felt like we were being watched over unnecessarily. The merchants we interacted with were accommodating and friendly.

The owners are SO friendly, greeted us with a smile, and showed us around to ensure that we felt right at home. It is tucked away under shady trees, lots of flowers, and near great hiking, a national park, and more. It has a comfy queen bed + futon if you bring kiddos, an adorable kitchenette stocked with coffee, cream, fruit, freshly baked bread and sweets from a local bakery, water, and butter. It has it's own little driveway so even though it is pretty close to the owner's home, you still feel like it is your own place. It has a fenced in patio with a little fountain + blooming lily pads! We saw deer and heard the birds singing from the adorable little back patio, that was fully equipped with a table and two chairs. The best part - we were able to bring our pup with us!!! He LOVED rolling around in the grass and spending time in the fresh air. The town of Julian is fantastic, and was so festive over the 4th of July! There is so much to see and do. We highly suggest the Gold Mine Tour, visiting the wineries, cider tasting, shopping, indulging in delicious pies, and more. Even in the summer there were things to do but we can't wait to come in the Fall when there are way more festivities! We will absolutely be back to this quaint little casita again. This booking was for a 3 night stay / it was a little under $500. Upon arrival: extremely unsafe stair case / unfinished hand rails (splinters) are tough. I would NOT book this space if you have knee, hip, or back issues. The room has a bar sink .. but there was no soap to wash glasses/ simple stuff. That was sort of disappointing. The bathroom had no soap in the old school hand dispenser...even the oil diffuser was dry, y'all... The bed was so uncomfortable-so broken in, we kept rolling to the middle of it! The shower had obvious signs of grout mold... the first night we were there, the other neighbors asked ME if it was okay for them to smoke weed! They were super loud and went in and out all night. That's fine. I didn't even mind that. If you book this spot, it's like a duplex. Our second night there we left $20 in the "honor bar" that Laura has on the property. At that time she came in/ introduced herself. I told her how much we were loving our stay & she said thank you, that's what they try to do. When we left the Oak Hill Inn we cleaned it + left it better than we found it. We left Laura another $20 on the table in our room... As an FDR & EMB I take reviews very seriously. When we left this place Laura, the host, wrote that me and my partner, Maggie, were not a good fit for Oak Hill Inn. Huh?!! But I guess my extra $40 were! I'n from the imperial valley + spent so much time with my family in Juilan all of my life growing up. I would def not stay here, spend the extra $100 for peace at the Julian hotel or the lodge. Beware!!!
