Came to change a boot and a radiator on the car. When the car was fixed, the owner warned me that my power steering pump is going bad. The same day my power steering starts leaking, which didn't leak before I came to this place. I came back because the lines to the radiator were leaking and the power steering leaked. The owner told me how it's an old car (2000 Mercedes), and I should expect to have problems. I went under the car and discovered that my power steering line to the rack and pinion was loosened. This is complete recklessness. The loosened line was right next to the boot. After tightening the nut, my car does not leak and I never needed a power steering pump. NEVER take your car here. read more

I have lived in this neighborhood my whole life and have never gone here. I finally decided to stop in to get a smog check, but it had to be a spot that was Star certified. I think this designation is given by the DMV. Anyways, I don't like taking my car to a mechanic, because you never know if your gonna get screwed or not. So I pulled up not knowing what to expect, because there were so many cars in the parking lot I thought they were gonna say make an appointment or leave the car and come back in an hour or something, but no. The dude sitting in the garage didn't look busy (he was texting) so I said "am I in the right place?" He said yes, so I asked could I get a smog check and another yes, so he asked for the keys and 15 minutes later I was smogged checked and certified. He sent the report to the dmv, took my $50 and gave me a certificate and I was done. That was super pleasant and not painful and it was about a mile from my house. That worked out really well. I asked about the Star Certification and he said they have had it for about three months, so it's recent and perfect timing for my car.!! read more

Shady shop! I took my jeep in to get looked at, he charged me 300 bucks to tell me that one of my valves was bent. Then he recommended a valve job for $2,600... Way too much. I decided to have my dad come over and help me fix it instead. After we did all the work I came to find out that my fuel rail and injectors were missing. I called Banny and he just told me sorry for your loss I don't have the part. I told him the jeep left his shop and went straight to my locked garage. After going back and forth with him on the phone I left work to confront him. I show up in my Navy uniform and as soon as he saw that I meant business he made a B line straight for a corner of the shop and POOF! there was my fuel lines and injectors. Avoid this place. I took my car there once because it was overheating. Turned out to be nothing -- just needed some fluids. No charge, plus they fixed the heater and reset a warning light (the guys at the oil change place couldn't figure this one out). My neighbor is a car enthusiast who has lived in San Diego all of his life. He's been taking his cars here and recommending it to friends for many years. 1star because I can't do NO STARS REVIEW. took my car there to get just a reg smog for my renewal of registration after about 5 mins he said my car failed and he could do repairs for about $280 plus the smog of course. I told him I would go to MY MECHANIC shop and if they couldn't do it for less I'd be back.. Took it to my mechanic who plugged my car into the machine in which he couldn't find anything wrong with my car so after that I took it to another smog place and PASSED SMOG with NO ISSUES!! Shady shop do not go here. I changed my battery and in the process the screw to hold the strap broke off. Drove here just to see if he had one, if not I was gonna drive to an auto zone to get one. He easily repaired it, within 5 seconds and charged me $20. I laughed and paid even though we both knew it was a rip off. Banny really doesnt seem to fix cars all the way he says he will...cheap diagnosti at 45 i believe but when i have a problem it never seems to get fixed just worse. And the wait time is up to four hrs just to look at it. Its more convienent cause i live up the st. Hes cool and seems to know what hes doing but i dont feel he fixes issues just fixes what he THINKS is wrong. read more
