    My awesome purchase :)

This dealership had *the* car that I have been looking for (within my price range) for a while now. I have dealt with other dealerships, big and small, and this was easily the most clear-cut group of people I have come across. The owner is a very nice, charming and HONEST man which can be hard to find in this industry. He truly goes above and beyond to make the customer happy. I would recommend this dealership to friends and family alike, we will definitely be back! HONEST, AFFORDABLE, HELPFUL and FAIR and that makes me HAPPY! :) ...I finally have my Mazda3.. Yippeee!

Went to this place today to look at a 2014 Prius C for $13k. Great price, stood in the office for 15 no one acknowledge me. They saw me but never came to offer service. I left because it looked like a couple of customers came back not happy about their previous purchases. All cars look like they have been repaired, no customer parking. You must park on the street. Drove 25 mins to this place, not worth it. It's just a hook. Poor service, poor cars.

I purchased a Ford Focus from this dealership last month and I must say I enjoyed my experience and still enjoy my car today. Car 1234 is a USAA authorized dealer and I that is how I was able to find them. I live in Lemon Grove so if it weren't for their website I probably would never find them. As soon as I saw the car I knew it was perfect for me because it was compact and fit my price limit! They included all of the important details on the website regarding the car and great pictures. The day I went to the dealership I met with Mike and he was very laid back and professional. I told him the car that I wanted to test and he gave me the keys and allowed me to take the car for a test drive on my own. I appreciate him doing that so I could relax and comfortably test out the car. I did not take the car that day because I still wasn't sure about trading in my jeep. Mike was not pushy, he provided great customer service! Cut to the day I came to pick up the Ford Focus and drop off my Jeep I worked with Robert! Robert was even more laid back than Mike! He was professional, and courteous the entire time I was there. He helped me complete my transaction and made me feel like a valued customer. Most dealerships have a way of being pushy, and then making you feel like a number once they have sold you! Not this dealership! Over the next few weeks anytime I had a question I could text Robert and he would always reply and help out! He is a funny and cool car salesman who is also professional and precise at what he does! Every time I go to the dealership they remember and great me by name! Awesome job you guys! I hate the car buying process, but you all made it smooth and easy! Thanks!

Got a sweet deal on a like new 2014 VW Jetta. Had a little ding on the windshield and it was promptly replaced for me before my purchase. I worked with Robert...got a free aux chord, car charger and portable phone charger after purchase which was pretty sweet. The only reason why this place doesn't get a 5 star rating is because there was only one Robert and a few other customers every time I was there. Besides that, I'm a happy customer!

These guys are pretty fair I got my Jeep Wrangler here for 26500 when other dealers wouldn't even give me the same exact jeep for less than 30k. I've been driving the jeep for months now with no major problems :). It may not be the nicest dealership out there but they don't try and rip you off near as much as other dealers do. trust me I test drove so many jeeps in the same exact condition and some even worse and this was by far The best price and easiest dealers to work with. They also don't try and push you into doing anything as much as other dealers.

In my years, I've done business with nearly a dozen dealerships. From the basic, no-frills financing, to this all-inclusive warranted financing, I've experienced it all. Toyota of El Cajon is, without question, the best I've ever experienced, even long after the contract ink has dried. There was an issue with a less-common extended coverage that didn't go as expected. Jose, my service advisor, did everything he could to get it resolved. When he hit a wall, Laura B. got involved. Laura is what some businesses refer to as "a fixer". She relayed what she was doing and who was involved. The list was not a short one. When things were ironed out, she was able to obtain results that kept the dealership and Toyota in good standing by acting in good faith and resolved the warranted coverage to my satisfaction. I will continue to support both Toyota and Toyota of El Cajon!

I brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change, something this dealership has performed many times over the years. After the service, I was informed that the oil drain plug had been stripped and that I now needed to replace the entire oil pan at a cost of approximately $740. Prior to this oil change, there were no leaks, no warning signs, and no issues with the oil pan or drain plug. The damage was discovered only after the dealership performed the service. It is difficult to understand how a routine maintenance item could suddenly become my financial responsibility when the problem arose during the oil change. What is most disappointing is not just the cost, but the lack of accountability. After being a loyal customer for a decade, I expected the dealership to stand behind its work and make a genuine effort to resolve the situation fairly. I received a call from Mr Anderson informing me that he would take care of labor and I would need to pay for parts. I informed Mr Anderson that I did not feel comfortable taking my vehicle back to them since they were not truthful for the beginning. I told him where I would be taking my vehicle and he told me to keep him posted of charges and that he would take care of labor. I gave him the verbal quote and he had no issues other than if the dealership would be charging me a diagnostic test. I told him no and if they did I would give him a call back. Vehicle was repaired and invoice sent to Mr Anderson. Two weeks later and he has not paid for the repair. Customer loyalty should matter. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to lose confidence in a service department I trusted for many years. I hope the dealership reviews its service procedures and how it handles situations like this so other long-time customers are treated more fairly

While we liked it overall, we felt the price was a little high based on its cosmetic condition, so we decided to keep looking. A few days later, the salesperson contacted me and asked what price I was looking for. After discussing numbers, he texted me an out-the-door price that worked for me if I came back the next day. I made one final counteroffer, which he said the owner declined. I responded that we would still come the next day, and he replied, "I'll be here." At no point did he tell me that the previously discussed out-the-door price was no longer available. My son and I drove approximately three hours back to the dealership expecting to purchase the vehicle. After we arrived, we were told the owner would not honor the previously discussed price and that the dealership was sticking to the advertised price. We immediately left. The issue wasn't that my final counteroffer wasn't accepted. The issue was that we drove six hours round trip based on what we reasonably believed was an agreed-upon price, only to find out after arriving that it would not be honored. I understand that negotiations don't always end in a sale, and I don't expect every offer to be accepted. However, I do expect clear communication and respect for a customer's time. Had the dealership simply told me before I made the drive that the original offer was no longer available, I never would have made the trip. If you're traveling from out of town, I strongly recommend getting a written buyer's order or purchase agreement approved by management before making the drive. It could save you hours of driving and a great deal of frustration.

I brought my 2005 Ford Expedition to this dealership for a diagnostic and possible repair. I was told they would not work on the vehicle because it was more than 20 years old, but they could at least perform a diagnostic. I asked why a Ford dealership wouldn't service a Ford vehicle. Guillermo responded that it wasn't "their vehicle" and that they don't work on vehicles over 20 years old. I replied, "It literally says Ford on the side of the vehicle," and then asked, while pointing to his shirt, "This is a Ford dealership, right?" After that exchange, instead of simply explaining the policy, he changed his position and told me they would no longer even perform the diagnostic. I understand that dealerships can have policies regarding older vehicles, and if that's the policy, that's their decision. My issue was the way the situation was handled. Instead of conducting a thorough inspection, they took the truck to a shop across the street for a quick repair and immediately returned it to the lot for sale at the same price of $30,000. So in less then a year, last Saturday, sure enough, the car broke down. And of course, it was an "electrical warning please see a Hyundai dealer as soon as possible" situation on my dash. I request to have it towed, it's towed to the wrong dealership. I try to get a hold of someone on Monday about the status only to be told there was no longer vehicles and that it wouldn't be able to be seen for 7-10 business days and that they "didn't know what to tell me" when I stressed how I needed a car just to get to work. I had left a message with El Cajon Hyundai because I was informed it was sent to wrong dealership and hoped someone there could help me faster with it being seen and getting a loner. Thank goodness I got a call from John, the service manager informing me if I had it towed to them, they could see it significantly faster and get me in a loner. National city Hyundai calls me back saying they have a "courtesy vehicle" that they "didn't have" to give me but since the situation was dire they were "making an exception". They reserved me an EV since that's what I had. Said they'd keep it for 2 days for me. Next day I'm driving down to get it only to be informed they gave it away the day they told me they'd hold it. Upon arrival I got ahold of John who explained if I had it towed there the same day the chance of them being open would not be high. However looking at the schedule for the following day it could be seen. I have it towed there. I'm lucky enough to be off the following day. I waited until around 11 and reached out several times to see if the car had even made it in to be seen. Mind you this was 4-5 calls. Finally I get a text from a person named Juan saying the car had finally been checked in. It's 11:47 at this point. I text back and explain my frustration that multiple dealerships don't have a sense of urgency to help me in this situation and I've been out of a car since last week. He informs me "as John said" they need 1-2 days to diagnose. Wait, what? What's all this about the schedule being slow the next day that it could be seen? And I'm also told there isn't a loaner option. Furthering my frustration. So yes, I went off. Considering the car being less then a year old, paying over $1200 a month for this vehicle, and now incurring cost to have a rental out of my own pocket I'm informed by finally getting a call from John. They can get me into a loaner. However I have to pay out of pocket despite this entire situation. Juan then calls me saying he's spoken to John and I had been told there was a chance it would take another day or two to see the car and they had other cars with higher priority. If I had been told this and not told "considering how slow the schedule is tomorrow, I don't see why we can't get it looked at." I'm learning that Hyundai in general cannot be trusted on the quality of their vehicles or how they take care of high paying customers in situations like this. If your car breaks down just know there's a chance it will be taken to the wrong dealership. Know they will promise you a loner AS AN EXCEPTION and they DONT HAVE TO. That you can be told considering the next days schedule being slow your car can be looked at only to be told the following day it may not be seen, and there's no loaners available. And if you NEED a car, it will be at your own cost since they may not be able to see it despite you not having a car for almost a week. BEWARE of Hyundai of National City's loaner manager Andy, and the Hyundai of El Cajon's reliability to get the situation made an exception for you like another dealership offered. Even if it's not an EV. Even having the diagnosis code for a major factory recall on your model car and same year, there's no sense of urgency with your individual situation. You're just "in the que" and they will see it when they get to it. BEWARE of buying a Hyundai EV. Brand new. Even if they tell you it will be covered under warranty no matter what happens with defects. These cars are clearly unreliable. The name is unreliable and the quality of cars they sell clearly have issues. Beware everyone. Beware.

Although there were a few snafus that occurred, the overall impression was professional, courteous and not overbearing in the least. I went with a car that wasn't brand new and quite a bit older but I was still treated with the same courtesy of someone who wanted to purchase a brand new vehicle. Which tells me that they truly make every potential buying experience a pleasant one and treat all with the same amount of respect...regardless of your budget . Alyssa, you are a shining star and I know you will go far with the company. I've already referred several of my friends and colleagues to your location and you. Have a wonderful celebration at Island Prime, my fellow foodie! Shoutout out to Marjan who took care of our financing, providing a seamless transaction. We appreciate your knowledge and care in answering all of our questions. I am in LOVE with my little GLA and have already gotten so many compliments on it. Thank you again to your team for the outstanding, personalized service. You've gained a customer for life!

We were referred to Sam Kalasho through friends on Yelp, and I'm so glad we followed their…read morerecommendation and stopped by Mercedes-Benz of El Cajon. From the moment we walked in, Sam greeted us with a warm welcome and an incredible attitude. He has a great personality super friendly, professional, and genuinely easy to work with. You can tell right away that he cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does. What really impressed us was how he handled our trade-in. He beat CarMax's offer on our 2025 Nissan Altima and gave us more than we expected, which made the whole deal even better. Thanks to him, we drove off in a brand new GLC 300 AMG package, fully loaded, and couldn't be happier. The entire experience was smooth, transparent, and stress free exactly how car buying should be. Sam definitely earned our business, and we'll be coming back for future purchases. Highly recommend both him and the dealership if you're looking for a true 5-star experience. Thank you again, Sam!
