As a credentialed local yacht broker with Yachtsblue I often use save Harbor Lauderdale Marine Center to entertain clients, as well as have service to their vessels. So, you've been wondering where all those huge yachts go for their boat yard maintenance and…read morerepairs? Well, look no further than Lauderdale Marine Center. It's huge, matter of fact reputed to be the largest boat repair facility within the United States having some 19 covered buildings wherein all sorts of repairs and maintenance are done; being everything from electronics, welding, wood, mechanical, paint, fiberglass, metal and just about everything I boat may ever need. I seen their workmanship and I must say its first class all the way but, as with boat repairs anywhere, usually done with an expected open wallet in mind. You can get lost in this huge complex as it has so many offices for boat dealers, surveyors with just about every marine professional imaginable. I've captained a few yachts in and out of here and one thing that strikes you is that the security level is extremely high. You don't just get in here by car or boat without checking through some form a security, so unfortunately it isn't a place where just anyone can come in and freely wonder about. Then if you do get in, watch out for the electric golf carts as the operators are notoriously bad. I've come close to being hit on several occasions. So, if you hit the lottery and buy that huge mega yacht and need it repaired or have to hide it from a hurricane, this is the place.

Broker told me he had all that work to do but since i had a broker he wouldn't do it. Not only he was impolite, but he was also arrogant and lacking any professionalism. This is written from my husband:…read more I am from Southern CA, and as I'm sure you are aware, our inventory on this coast is, well, lacking. I've been looking at 32 and 35 Cabo's back East, and as of a few weeks ago, I found a boat that suited my needs. After going back and forth with the sellers agent (I did not have a buyer agent representing me) - I/we wrote an offer of $175k. I've attached a PDF copy of the offer. The offer was subsequently rejected and a counter offer was made; all via text. This took place on Monday of this week. The buyer told me there had been interest in the boat, but he did not tell me there was another current offer on the vessel. In any case, we rejected their counter offer of $183k on Tuesday. As the majority of our correspondence had been through text, I texted the sellers agent last night (5/17), Johnny Wise, advising him we accept the counter offer of $183k and to consider the boat sold. I've attached a picture of the text message chat. Johnny agreed, and we continued to text back and forth regarding survey scheduling, transportation, etc. My wife and I were elated and I proceeded to schedule surveyors and shippers this morning. And then Johnny called me. He explained to me there was a mistake in his text messaging, and he thought I was a different buyer. He continued to tell me that the boat received an offer yesterday (5/17) morning, and the seller accepted it. Johnny promised the boat to 2 people. I am a man of integrity. A man of my word. I don't know Johnny Wise, and I don't know anyone at the brokerage Rick Obey and Associates. I can tell you, I have made every attempt to contact Rick Obey at his multiple office locations, and so far, I have received no response. I understand that at this point, I am not going to get the boat. But it's my opinion that this violates some code of ethical and/or fiduciary responsibility of the both the agent and the agent's brokerage to sell a boat, knowingly or not, to 2 separate parties. My wife and I are extremely disappointed, and we will NEVER look at another boat offered by anyone associated with Rick Obey. We are not negative people and hate leaving reviews like this, but we were incredibly disappointed with their ethics
