But I was wrong! The owner called to let us know that he had an even better tour (one more suitable for what we were trying to do) at a much more convenient time! I really appreciate that they thought to call us and offer us the more beneficial package. I should add that the owner was super kind and helped me throughout the entire booking process. He was very patient with me while I struggled to book online. There site is super easy to navigate, I'm just not tech-savvy. When we did go out on our tour, we were given the greatest captain/instructor. Captain Sasha was so sweet and funny and knowledgeable. It was my first time snorkeling and he walked me through everything and made it all so simple. He was kind enough to take a ton of wonderful photos of my friend and me while we snorkeled. After cooking it, I found out it tasted terrible, and later learned that amberjack is not a fish most people eat because it can carry toxins and parasites. I felt completely misled. This kind of dishonesty makes it impossible to trust what they're selling--who even knows when the fish was caught or if it was fresh at all. If you want safe, quality seafood and honest advice, I'd recommend skipping the marina fishermen and going to a reputable seafood market instead. It's a shame, because I would have been a regular customer if they had been honest from the start.
