I believe that Icon Realty was involved in hacking my bank account. I leased an apartment in the heart of las olas/Fort Lauderdale from December 2016, from Atlantic loft llc. I agreed to pay a 2 month security deposit of $2400 as well as first, last and security (pretty standard) got my key, etcétera. After 2 different companies handling our property, ICON Realty came in January 2020 and revamped property by implementing a ***online payment service ***** aka , a way to get into your bank account. I questioned who this is and why I had to use this system to pay, not only to be replied with "It is our new system and you have to use it, you must pay rent this way or consult your attorney" As I went ahead and used it but decided to not renew my upcoming ending lease of 3/30/20. I emailed, texted and explain that I would not be renewing the lease because not only I don't trust the payment system, I had a very difficult time communicating with Benjamin (who by the way runs the whole thing). He ignored all my calls and the ones he replied, he did very rudely. I promptly moved out on schedule and handed him the keys along with my original lease agreement. He took the keys and said that He did not have a refund and I would need to wait 30 days to receive one on the mail. Now 30 days later. My bank account has been HACKED and bank investigated the multiple charges leading back to that January rent payment. I have been getting random withdrawals from different wiring entities totaling over 1k so far. Due to covid19, I can not yet file a claim in court. And the reason I am writing this is to WARN tenants and landlords about companies like this! I am attaching the refund check I just received. What a joke! See you in court.

The A/C in my rental seems to be the first a/c ever invented. This a/c is so OLD and moldy, and hardly ever works. In the blazing hot weather we have in Florida this is not what you want to deal with every other month. Rent Florida realty charges you $80 to send out a company to repair broken items in the property. This is a sham in its self... They hire shady companies to repair the a/c and everything they come out the repair man tell me this a/c is not fixable they need to just put in a new one. in my four years rent through them i feel like i have paid for a brand new a/c via service fees. They has us sitting in the middle of July heat for over a week without an A/C, we were sleeping on the bare tile floor because it was so hot. The staff are rude and threaten you if you don't do as they say, and they are liars. I have started recording the calls because i have have enough with them saying "they didn't say that". I finally bought a home and advise them i would not be signing another lease with them, and they have hijacked my only time i have to pack my things because i work two jobs during the week. They say they need your cooperation in showing the property during the last month " complete invasion privacy", they tell you are in control and can approve or decline according, but if you do not they call you and advise cooperation is required. I have paid onetime and 'took care of the property if it was like my own, and they are treating me as if i am being evicted. i feel so uncomfortable in this property because of this company. If you are a potential client and looking for a property management company, don't use them, as a renter i can tell i have see the "so called repairs" that have don't on the property, an i was an owner an they took care of my investment like that i would fire them in a heartbeat. PEOPLE DONT WASTE YOU TIME MONEY, OR INVESTMENT! I am going to report them to the better business burl they are so HORRIABLE!
