The girl went and looked and told me several flavors that were gluten free including one with oreo cookies on top. Those aren't gluten free and when I told her that, she made no notes or anything to mark that down. The ice cream was mediocre at best and had large ice crystals in it.

I discovered this place while grabbing coffee in Eureka, IL. Oh boy, was it a good discovery. I sampled a few ice creams and loved each one. Conveniently when I was there, they also had dollar hot dogs! So between amazing ice cream and cheap hot dogs, I was in heaven. If you love ice cream and haven't visited Uncle Bob's, do yourself a service and go try some! Between the group of us, we tried the strawberry (it tastes like sorbet), caramel, mammy (which I guess is a Jamaican fruit that tasted like creamy/milky strawberry), and guanabana (a Mexican fruit that is described as "strawberries and pineapple with a citrusy-tartness"). They were all crazy good! The small serving was huge and I think it cost us around $11 for the four dishes. The ice cream and popsicles are separated into "water-based" and I'm guessing, "milk-based" categories. I think it's awesome that there is finally a local place that can cater to those with a lactose allergy. I'm not sure however, if they have barrels of ice cream not in the case alongside the regular ice cream (depending on how severe your allergy is...).
