I stopped by Bar Bucce fully not expecting to stay and eat since we were just coming for a matcha pop-up, but after being inside, feeling the impeccable vibes, and checking out the menu, we had to stay. The meatball is one of the best meatballs I've had in Miami. I tend to rate Italian restaurants based on their meatballs since it's such a classic, and I may have a bit of high standards when it comes to them, and I can not get over Bar Bucce's meatball. Then we got the panini special for the day and the bread was insanely delicious and all the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. OH! And last but not least, the olive oil cake was truly outstanding. I had the chance to visit Barbuche, a small daytime spot that's really lovely,spacious, nice ambiance, very bright, with double height ceilings and friendly staff. The food was delicious, I tried the meatball, the Caesar salad, and the mortadella sandwich with porchetta. To finish, the olive oil cake. Everything was truly exquisite, and I'd recommend this place for a pleasant time in this part of North Miami. It also carries a lot of Italian products,for instance, I found apple cookies here that I hadn't been able to find anywhere else. Service was good, though no one ever came by to clear the plates from the table, which matters to me since I like to linger and chat after the meal, and having all the dishes piled up in the middle isn't very comfortable. I love Bar Bucce! It has a welcoming and casual vibe, with excellent food and wine. I also love that this spot is so community oriented - they do regular events and specials and partner with other local chefs which I think gives it an extra air of hospitality. The charcuterie plate is divine and so is their Calabrian chili oil. I truly find myself putting it on everything even if it lights my mouth on fire. Delicious. Their pizza's are divine as well. The zucchini pizza is so fun and different and the regular New York inspired slice is also great. Do not sleep on the foccacia - it's amazing. Service here is always friendly and there is a ton of wine to choose from. They also have a full bar with indoor and outdoor seating. You can buy wine here to enjoy at the restaurant or also pick it up to go. I also saw on Instagram they have happy hour and pizza specials so make sure to look it up before you go so you can snag a deal. The outdoor area is really spacious with plenty of seating for groups. It is right by a train so you will hear that go by, something to keep in mind if you have little ones. This is a solid neighborhood spot that I find myself coming back to over and over. read more

Bar Bucce was a time!! I went to a pizza party event for SOBEWFF, hosted by Ashley Graham and it was a glamorous time. We were served appetizers as we walked in such as meatballs and tuna. They had an oyster bar set up as well as a cheese and meat spread. Then came the pizza! The pizza bar was happening with different spreads of pizza to choose from! They also had the owner of Bar Bucce cooking up a huge pot of pasta. Ashley Graham also had a feature of her new wine she was promoting. It was a sweet red wine and very tasty! Staff is very nice and the place itself is cute, but so expensive!! I didn't know paying $32 for a simple Margherita pizza was on my bingo card but here I am. The pizza was good, but not worth a whopping thirty-two bucks. We also tried the meatball, zucchini scapece, and farm green salad. Such a great New Year's Day find. My boyfriend and I went around 3 p.m. and ordered a pepperoni pizza, Caesar salad, calamari, and a bottle of wine. They have a really nice wine selection and a twenty dollar corkage fee. We sat outside and the patio was super relaxed and cozy, especially with the perfect weather that day. We played some card games and just enjoyed taking our time. Around 4 we realized they have a daily happy hour from 4 to 6:30, so we moved to the bar, played some more games, and had a few drinks. Free street parking, not in an ultra developed location. Nice, abundant outdoor seating as well as spacious bar. They also have an inside market full of items. The -1 was due to the location being right next to a train track, with quite a few loud trains passing by. Also, I was a bit surprised that the prices were elevated in a more off the beaten path location. However, the food and service were amazing. I felt the farm salad had a very nice flavor and crunch to it. The prosciutto was thinly sliced and fresh. The pizza dough was outstanding, pretty much perfect. While they do not have vegan cheese or many non cheese pizza options for those who can't do dairy, they were able to do the tomato pie with cheese on the side. That allowed my friends and I to shareable 16" pie, which would likely be a bit much for one person to eat. I would return on the right night and crowd. read more

HORRIBLE costumer service. Fellow yelpies, please steer clear of this restaurant unless you are okay with disrespectful, belittling, extremely unprofessional customer service. Whoever was the manager on the night of September 6 ( he said it was Robert the III, but who knows. This guy was had the absolute worst customer service of the entire experience) unfortunately I think this is a true Miami restaurant that starts "hot" and falls off completely due to management. A group of over 15 people, all customers, all paying money to the establishment arrived and ordered. My husband and I arrived separately and ordered our OWN order: a glass of chilled red wine, an old fashion, a salad because they were out of meatballs and a NY pie with pepperoni. The drinks and salad come out, and my husband who ordered a chilled glass of red wine is handed a chilled tall boy glass, empty. We send it back and they bring out a new one. This is shortly followed by them bringing the wrong pie. A plain cheese pie instead of pepperoni. We flag someone down and it happens to be the person who checked us out. She confirms they will re-fire new one with pepperoni. About 10 minutes pass and I flag someone else down for an update. He comes back and says the kitchen will need 10 minutes because of all the orders ahead of us. We explain that our order was a re-fire, not a new order and if there's anything we can do, maybe even speak to a manager? He said he would grab a manager but one never came. About 5 more minutes pass and my husband went inside to talk to the manager himself. The manager ("Robert") tapped his shoulder back which is crazy to think someone would touch you and laughing said "hey buddy you're better than this. You're really getting bent out of shape over pizza?" UNACCEPTABLE?! Then he tries to convince my husband that we never ordered pepperoni by pulling up a WRONG order and claiming we ordered with someone else and our pizza never said pepperoni;UNTRUE. We had a receipt. We sat outside, had two bottles of wine, the weather was great, kids running around, people talking -- until... movie night. Look, I love movies. I'm all for it. But if you're going to have a movie night, just don't pick a movie from Netflix -- especially one where a lot of people are saying "fuck" when there are kids around. It was 6pm. I spoke to whatever guy was managing the place and he couldn't care less. Just like the people there "enjoying" movie night. The sound was so loud. No one seemed to care about the movie, but it completely killed the vibe. Another couple with young kids left as well. We ended up moving inside -- it looks and feels like having dinner at Whole Foods. Nothing against having dinner at Whole Foods, but at least at Whole Foods you don't have to pay an extra $20 corkage fee for a bottle of wine you bought there. How can you charge a corkage fee for wine I bought in the store? Again, the place is nice, but whoever is running it is ruining it. Indoor space that seats perhaps 40 people, opening to an outdoor space that seats maybe twice as many people, with an indoor outdoor bar and a few couches. You order at the counter. A 15% service fee is automatically added. Prices are generally high. Even though thick round focaccias are on display, the order only brings 4 tiny slices. We also ordered the kebab (small and forgettable), zucchini, and salad. Portions are small, flavor is okay. We were still hungry and ordered the margherita, which was nice but, again, quite pricey. I got really cold and asked for hot tea or coffee and was told they don't serve it after 5pm. They did give it to me, cuz last time it was 8pm and was served hot beverages. but now they won't. This is an outside place. So if it gets chilly after 5pm when the sun is going down they won't give you coffee. Also the music they rather have is rap and not the most kid friendly. I heard cursing and the N word in the music and there were little children around. I think that is highly inappropriate. To me the place felt like it was confused with demographics they were trying to reach. Family Friendly upscale casual dining with uncensored hip hop and rap coming through the speakers. But no one of that culture is dining there. It left a bad taste in my mouth and mad confused. There is one really cool bottle of whiskey I will go back to get, but that's it's. Service fell far short of expectations. The staff was inattentive and gave the impression that guests were a burden rather than welcomed patrons. I went for lunch, and surprisingly, there was no one at the bar to serve drinks. The pay-before-you-eat model is inconvenient, especially if you'd like to order something additional during your meal--requiring you to get up and pay again at the counter. I was charged $47 for a sandwich (with no sides) and one glass of very average wine here, which was a serious rip-off considering that I had to place the order myself at a counter. Also, my dining companion had to wait about 15-20 minutes for the staff to bring him his pizza slice when the pizza slices were already prepared and were sitting in a display case - all that they needed to do was heat the pizza up and give it to him, but they couldn't handle that even though there were about 5 customers in the whole place (including the 2 of us).
