My partner and I were exploring a new area in Miami Shores and decided to try Sins Gastrobar for an early dinner. The restaurant is conveniently located right on the downtown strip with free street parking nearby, which is always a plus. The atmosphere was inviting from the moment we walked in. The host welcomed us and told us we could sit anywhere we liked, so we chose a quieter table away from the bar area. There is also a stage section that looked perfect for live music nights, although there was no entertainment during our visit. Overall, the ambiance was trendy, relaxed, and had a great neighborhood feel. They also appeared to have some very good happy hour specials for those who drink. Our server was very sweet and offered several recommendations. We decided to share the burrata appetizer and the skirt steak dinner. The steak arrived first and looked absolutely beautiful. The quality of the meat itself was outstanding and cooked very well. Unfortunately, there was a noticeable charred flavor from what seemed like a dirty grill, which took away from an otherwise excellent steak. It was disappointing because the quality of the meat was truly superb. The fries were also surprisingly good and almost tasted closer to sweet potato fries. At that point, we realized our burrata appetizer had been forgotten. Once we flagged down our server, she immediately corrected the mistake and brought it out quickly. Thankfully, it was absolutely delicious and ended up being one of the highlights of the meal. The fresh burrata paired perfectly with the heirloom tomatoes and tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. Toward the end of dinner, service became difficult again. We were ready for more water, a box, and the check, but our server was nowhere to be found despite the restaurant not being particularly busy since it was still early in the evening. I eventually had to get up and ask the bartender for assistance. Overall, I really enjoyed the ambiance and appreciated the quality of the food. I came here for lunch with a friend. It's a cute, spacious establishment and the music was good, so overall the atmosphere was enjoyable. When we arrived, we were told seating on the right side was unavailable due to a leak. However, a few minutes later, other guests were seated in that same area, even though nothing appeared to have changed. It wasn't busy maybe four tables total so that stood out. Our server was nice, but one situation felt unusual. I watched a dessert come out, and before it reached the guest who ordered it, it was taken to another table where someone who had been sitting there on their phone-handled it and took photos. Even if only for a few seconds, that felt off from a service standpoint. Ideally, food should go directly from the kitchen to the guest. If dishes are being staged for photos, it would make more sense to use a separate plate or do so outside of service hours. That moment definitely threw me off. As for the food, the fries (the daily special) were cold by the time they arrived. The soup was good, but the chicken was very dry and lacked flavor. Fun little Gasto pub. The cocktails were great; albeit very slow. It took about 10-13 minutes for our cocktails to be prepared (not exaggerating) after ordering. Perhaps just seemed like an eternity when you're looking forward to a cocktail. We also got the charcuterie board. This was hit and miss. The atmosphere felt off--lights too bright, music too low, and the front door open with traffic noise. The steak picanha had great flavor but came out cold. Yesterday we decided to try a new restaurant in Miami Shores, which is a growing area. Sins opened about 4 months ago and already has a very good rating. That says a lot to me. They must be good. We were cordially welcomed at the front door by Valentina, who also was our server. She is very outgoing and efficient. It was fun to get to know her. The menu has so many good dishes on.it, but we decided to try one of their lunch specials. It is $25 per person and includes an appetizer, entrée and dessert. We both picked the same thing: the Short Ribs with mashed potatoes, the Cassava fritters, and the Carrot Cake with ice cream. It was filling and delicious! All of the choices sounded good. I must mention that the service was above expectations here. It was definitely high-end treatment. Fast, efficient, friendly, and impressive! They all are great at team work. I can't wait to go back. If you like to party, then the night to be there is Friday nite from 7:30 pm until closing. I definitely will need to give this place another try. Saw some great reviews but it wasn't what I expected... Came on a Sunday for brunch (because you know, sundayfunday), no live music like they advertised or entertainment, and they did not have orange juice so they weren't offering the unlimited mimosas (which was perfectly fine because who uses oJ in their mimosa anyway!). Well apparently, Sundays are dead so they moved the live music to Saturdays when the parties seem to be happening. Then I asked about serving just Prosecco and some kind of juice on the side to satisfy the "mimosa" requirement. I wasn't given a no, so I went with it, but ended up getting charged for each glass (boo). Food was delicious and great portions! But very limited on brunch options. if you want something to share, they don't have apps on the brunch menu but you CAN order and app from the dinner menu. I recommend the empanadas and the oh so mouth yummy pork belly's! Their cocktails and bar selection is great as well! Overall, for two people, the bill came out to about 150 and that's with 5 rounds of Prosecco and 4 rounds of margarita. So NOT bad! was just hoping for more of an up beat setting to keep me around longer. They need to update their flyers and add apps to the brunch menu, but other than that, I will definitely be coming back on a Saturday to give it another go. Dropped into Sins for a Friday night bite and drinks! We moved to the area in the summer and have been trying to explore more of the local scene. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays (from what I gathered on the sign) and the duo performing set a great weekend vibe in the place. I love the set up aesthetically, should have taken pictures but their Instagram page is spot on! Food was delicious, we had the pork belly bites app and each had a different entree. Drinks hit the spot as well! I had a rum and Coke, then a regular mojito and my dining partner had a couple of mules, different flavors which blended perfectly. The crowd was very small, I'm talking 4 people at the bar and 3 tables (two tops) sat, and we were kind of forgotten about a few times. I get that it was a slow night but once we were finished eating and drinking we sat for maybe 10 minutes and then had to physically get a server's attention to get the check. It was tasty but strong on the sodium side. Then I chose a Latin bowl with beef. I choose well done, and it was delicious! The meat was tender, black beans flavorful, and rice cooked perfectly. For dessert I had the banana pudding. The pudding was moist, not sticky, and the ice cream tasted similar to homemade ice cream. The decor in the restaurant sets a relaxed mood and the wine selection looked plenty. My server was knowledgeable and offered her favorites, which I was grateful for, because I also purchased carry out from their dinner menus. For take out, I ordered the short ribs and mashed potatoes. The serving size was small, but the food was good. They have a great option for brunch and events. The restaurant truly was done very well, lots of little attention to details, that give the place such an interesting tranquility to it we really enjoyed it. Our server Suzie was absolutely amazing as well. It was our first time coming in and she was so sweet and full of energy and made great menu recommendations. We honestly barely looked at the menu - what Suzie recommended we ordered. Everything she recommended was absolutely spot on and unbelievably delicious. We started the night off with her favorite drink the orgasmika which not only looked really good but tasted really good as well. It was made with vodka, hibiscus and mango, and aromatic bitters and it was absolutely perfect for our evening. It was not too strong, very refreshing, and had just a touch of sweetness to it very good. Our drink was followed by the dirty artichokes and the salmon tartare. The artichokes were good but the salmon tartare was out of this world good and fresh and it was absolutely delicious. One of the BEST tartare dishes I think I've ever had truly... Next we ordered the slow cooked short rib (another wonderful Suzie recommendation) and it was so good. The meat was so soft and tender and it was served with puréed potatoes and an absolutely delicious red wine sauce. One of the best dishes I've had in a long time - wow - I would come back just for this plate it was so good... Our entire meal was really nice Suzie let us sit and talk and take our time ordering food, trying different things, and eating our way through the menu slowly enjoying the company of each other at the table. We really got to enjoy each bite and enjoy the beautiful tranquility of the restaurant. For desert we tried the molten lava cake which wasn't very fancy or interesting but it was the perfect way to end our meal with a little bite of something sweet and chocolatey. So, my friend Nick who's a regular took me here the other week and we had such a fabulous time!! I had the mushroom risotto and he had the seafood risotto and we had two cocktails. The Tamarind cocktail is absolutely to die for it is definitely going to be my go to now! The service here was on point- very friendly and well dressed servers, and the restaurant itself is gorgeous! I did not go on the night where they do live performances, but next time I go, I would love to experience that as I could only imagine it adds onto the already vibrant ambience , but nonetheless, I highly highly recommend this place for quality, seafood, and experience. I dont often write reviews but this restaurant experience made me completely fed up. I took a friend here for his birthday and we sat at the bar. I'm vegan he's not. The bartender mostly ignored us and while not rude she also was not at all welcoming or friendly. They were out of half the menu: no beyond burger, no artichokes, no fried rice or arroz or rice at all - a lot of the things I had planned to eat when I looked at the menu before coming. He ended up ordering the nachos and mac and cheese and I ordered the plantains plain (not stuffed w/chicken), the avocado and hearts of palm salad, and steamed vegetables. The food took FOREVER. The plantains came out first, stuffed with chicken, and I sent them back and cancelled. His nachos came out after about 45 minutes. Because I was starving and had no food I tried to dig out some plain chips but a few had chees on them, which wasn't cheese but more like a 1000 island. Finally at least 10 min later my food arrived. The salad had about a half an avocado and maybe 1-2 hearts of palm chopped up, a bunch of greens, and about a cup of pistachios. The flavor of the dressing was decent, but it was not a meal. The vegetables were a tragedy, as someone else reviewed it was mostly onions and shredded carrots with a few slices of bell peppers. Out of starving desperation I ordered fries which took another 15minutes and were pretty disgusting. I left very disappointed, annoyed, and hungry. Reading other reviews it seems like maybe this place used to be good but has gone dramatically downhill. I definitely will never try it again read more

New ownership has been a disappointment. We ordered a dish based on the menu description, which stated it included guacamole, steak, and cheese. What we received was completely different. When we inquired about the discrepancy, we were told--through a messenger, not the owner--that the menu contained an error and we'd have to pay extra for the dish as advertised. This kind of leadership is unacceptable. The owner didn't even take the time to address the issue personally, leaving the staff to handle a situation that clearly needed management's attention. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Poor customer service and lack of accountability show it's in the wrong hands. If you're running a restaurant, you address mistakes directly and take care of your customers--this owner failed at both. read more

I had brunch here on Saturday July 22 with my wife and a couple of her colleagues and everything from the service (shout out to Valentina), to the ambiance and the food was stellar! We started at the bar while we waited for our party. I had the Pride Flight, which consisted of several different gin shots prepared with subtle essences like watermelon and lavender. The gin was smooth and the combinations creative. If you're a gin person, definitely try this! Later on I had the habanero margarita and it shocks your socks off without leaving any signs of the burn! Absolutely recommend! My wife had the Lost City Holy Scribe on tap, which she really enjoyed and someone else tried the Guava Cotton Drop, which is a really fun drink to watch them pour! (Too sweet for me but the recipient loved it.) Once everyone arrived and we moved to a table the gustatory adventure began! The aoili they bring with the thin, crisp breadsticks to start is the best I've ever had, creamy (not oily) and flavorful but not overly garlicky. I had the Latin Tower, which is literally a tower (short) of fried ripe plaintain, steak, avocado, provolone (usually they serve it w/ mozzarella but they were out), pico de gallo and pickled onions topped w/ hollandaise sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the plantains were sweet but not overly ripe and the hollandaise sauce did not overpower the dish. My only warning is that between the avocado, pico, & pickled onions, it does tend to cool the dish down so if you like your food piping hot, you may want to choose a different entree. I also tried my wife's The Queen, a fried arepa w/ shredded chicken in a secret sauce along with avocado and a poached egg. It was an explosive combination of flavors and the arepa maintained it's shape without drying out. Delicious. My wife's colleagues had the Broken Eggs and one of the Benedicts although I forget which one. They both reported loving their food with no complaints. We finished off w/ an order of churros, which were a little crisp for my taste but still overall good flavor. We spent @ $65 per person, which included 2 drinks each and desert along with a generous tip so I consider it to be one of the better bargains in South Florida, especially when you take into account the quality of the food and the wonderful ambiance. read more

You order still by QR code so my friend pulled the menu up on her phone and me on the online version. We come to find out the online version they didn't update yet and certain items were no longer available. To start we had cocktails myself the lemon drop vodka martini with cotton candy. I skipped the additional added flavor as I figured it would over power the Lemon drop flavor. It was delicious and believe me one drink hit me hard. My friend got the Moscow mule with added passion fruit. We shared all the food and we ordered plenty. To start they have very thin bread sticks on the table with a dipping sauce that was delicious. My friend chose the grilled octopus on corn my favorite and I got the hallucinations shrimps. The shrimp came with very thin slightly toasted bread and was in a sauce with fresh sliced mushrooms and plenty of sliced garlic. If you are ladies that lunch and don't eat much you can stop there. Haha we proceeded to order short ribs that were so tender they fell off the bone into the creamiest of mashed potatoes. Also got the mushroom risotto. Surprise surprise we couldn't even make a dent so I gladly took these home with me. The service was very good and the atmosphere transports you to a far away place like you are on holiday even for a few hours. Definitely would run back here. This is a long post please bear with me...My family and I went to Sins on 12/6/2025 for dinner. We had been many times previously when they were under old ownership. We have also been here many times under this new ownership, but for drinks only. This was our first time eating since a new owner took over. I will start by saying that the bar has always been great. I looked at the menu and ordered the grilled chicken breast with sautéed veggies ( the photo in the menu shows zucchini, squash, carrots, baby corn, cauliflower etc) my husband ordered a gluttony burger (cooked medium). When the food arrived my chicken was RAW inside. COMPLETELY RAW and my husband's burger was WELL done. They also gave me sweet potato fries with my meal. When I showed the waitress the raw chicken she was shocked and immediately took it away before I could get a picture of it. I've never worked in the restaurant industry, but even I know there are standard cooking times for certain foods. It's is absolutely unacceptable to serve someone RAW chicken. The chicken look lightly seared at best. She asked if I wanted anything else so I ordered the salmon (cooked medium). She came back with the sautéed vegetables and it was a bowl of red and white onions with TWO baby corn a red and green pepper and a few carrot slices, it was also doused with something very spicy (which the menu doesn't mention) I assume to try to cover the fact that it was bowl of onions. They eventually brought the salmon and it was like a dry piece of unseasoned wood I took two bites and wouldn't eat anymore. When the waitress came to the table and saw the basically full salmon sitting there, she asked what was wrong, and I explained to her that it was dry and unseasoned, not like the medium that I had requested. When I asked to speak to the manager a young man named Emanuel came over and introduced himself as the manager/owner. As I began to explain the situation to him he said he was aware of what happened, but at no point did he come to our table to personally apologize or address the situation. The waitress said she would remove my order from the bill, but she didn't. So we still paid for all the awful food and I still went home hungry. Their hh menu was not as decently priced but delicious just as well. We enjoyed everything we ordered, pao buns, guacamole, chicharones, filled tostones, and more. We were a bit surprised to find we had spent over $200.00 on a happy hour for 4 adults, but I suppose that's par for the course nowadays. Oh, I really liked this place! The food was absolutely delicious. We had the yuca stuffed with pulled pork, tuna, in some kind of teriyaki, and I think it was a short rib with mashed potato. Oh, this is a hard one... Getting here was a thing of chance. My friend, Foquita and I hadn't seen each other for a while, and we just picked a place around the middle point area between our homes. Well, I picked the area, she picked the place, but that's it. Parking is a bit weird because you don't really know if it's a private parking or a public parking until you get off the car and... discover you don't have to pay or discover you have to move. The place is relatively packed for large parties, but if you're a party of just one, or two, you may be lucky and get a table fast. We were. otherwise, you may think about getting a reservation. The service was great. right on the middle where they're not being annoying, but they're ready for you when you are. We ordered prosciutto croquetas which, even though had a very good flavor, in the end were extremely salty... which in hindsight is bound to happen if you get prosciutto and heat it in salted batter, so, our fault, really. The pork-belly bites were awesome... they also were a bit on the salty side, maybe to make you get some beers, but it doesn't look like that kind of place, so I don't know what to think. The grilled octopus with potatoes was a bit dry and chewy, but overall it's one of the better ones I've tried in Miami, and the potatoes were nice. We also had some Hallucination shrimp al ajillo with mushrooms appetizer, but there was nothing really highlightable about them. As for the dessert, it looked like it'd be overwhelming, but it was actually pretty nice (split between the two) . The name escapes me put it was a huge brownie/ice-cream/s'mores monster. We also had some coffee and it was very, very good. Overall, a good experience, I'll go back if I'm around the area sometime, but I don't think I'll go out of my way to go back. read more
