I was craving a cocktail while visiting NJ and came across this place. The cocktails were well done overall. I don't usually enjoy pre-made drinks. They pre-batch many of their bespoke cocktails in advance because of large crowds, so next time I'll probably just order something directly off the menu.

We sat at the bar and the ambience was great! It was a nice place to go nearby before our dinner reservation elsewhere. Caprese e burrata and ricotta tartufo was delicious! Overall, great place to go if you want a quick drink/apps before dinner or date night!

Great ambience like stepping into a little treasure of a space with warm touches and details making you feel right at home and still somewhere new at the same time. There is a small corner of seating along with a wall of bar stools and of course bar seating. Purse and jacket hooks plenty. Drink menu was pretty standard with twist. $20 a pop started snapping me back on to manhattan vibes with a few classics at $16. Also had some mocktails. Went for a pre show espresso martini. Was yummy a little sweet towards the tail end for my liking but overall 4/5! Pricey for just a regular day swing by but a nice spot to grab a drink before a show or after dinner. Service was swift and friendly, with a waitress swinging by promptly upon arrival and another with water shortly after.

Great cocktails , great mixologist that can make anything upon request, unique cocktail menu. This bar is small, velvet chairs and pretty chandeliers. Top notch service. Nice place for pre or post dinner cocktails.

Small pretty space with great drinks! We had 4 and all of them were spectacular. Sambachino was tart and deep, topped with jalapeño crushed ice . Lu cafe martini, espresso martini was just the right amount of balance of liquor and espresso. We did have to ask for the complimentary pretzels and olives but they were quick to correct it. Our mixologists were friendly and service was prompt yet relaxed. A bit of showmanship while creating their drinks and I appreciate that flair. Public parking, small outdoor seating.

This bar is such a hidden gem that quickly became our favorite. By the end of the night, we had tried almost every cocktail on the menu, and the bar staff was totally into our enthusiasm for their experimental creations. One of the highlights was a cocktail served in a leather purse...yes, a purse! It was so cool to watch them mix and serve it in such a unique way. They also provide small snacks like saltines and olives, which were a nice touch. We've already gone back for another round and had just as much fun. The music was an interesting mix, starting with classic Italian tunes and then, out of nowhere, shifting to an hour of 80s freestyle classics. We were loving the dancier vibe, but then it suddenly switched back to old-world Italian music, which kinda killed the mood. We noticed a lot of the crowd left after that. Despite the odd music shifts, we'll definitely be back, especially when they update the drink menu.. can't wait to try everything again!

This was a very pleasant surprise. It started out being a spot for a quick drink before dinner and ended up being an amazing find! The atmosphere gives off speakeasy vibes and the mixology is top notch. First place i've seen with herbs growing at the bar and it is not just for show! The service was fantastic and drinks were smooth and delicious. My new favorite Montclair spot. Highly recommend!!

It's a secret spot in Montclair! Not anymore! The bar bites, cocktails and "coolness " factor are all on point. Hostess "Kim" treats her guests like VIPs and the vibe is chic-cool.

My favorite place in Montclair for drinks. It's a little pricey but the vibes are elegant and vibey. Perfect date night spot!

Kelly was a fantastic host, and then Laura made fabulous suggestions on cocktails for the elevated experience! We tried a couple of different variety cocktails, and our night was set! The dolce far neinte was a must try!

Came for a quick aperitif. Bartender experienced small. Bar. Worth a shot for a drink

The mixologist are not only personable but stylish in presentation as well as great with recommendations! Grazie Mille Bar Franco!

We ate here around 1:30PM on a Saturday and found the restaurant moderately busy which we figured was a good sign. Note that there are multiple entrances into the restaurant so you'll want to make sure you actually find the hostess desk so you can make sure you get seated properly. The venue itself is pretty expansive, featuring a dining foyer, then bar area with high tops and then another larger dining area towards the back. Our waiter was friendly and attentive though we found most of the food to be quite salty. We started off with their daily soup (a chicken tortilla-type one) as it was cold outside and found it extremely over-salted. For our mains we ordered a double-cheeseburger and the fish and chips which both came highly recommended on the menu. The burger was pretty solid and a hearty portion of food, though I was disappointed it didn't come with fries which have to be ordered separately (~$7-$9 upcharge depending on whether you get Parmesan or not). I think the meat is Pat La Frieda which is high quality and was pretty stuffed after eating it. The onion rings were also tasty (though again, quite salty) and were a generous portion which I was pleased considering they're $12. Finally, the fish & chips my partner ordered were solid though again, really salty. Overall, I'd recommend coming here if you're looking for a nice, simple place to get a burger and the basics. Their menu is pretty extensive featuring everything from chicken pot pies, quesadillas and fish but I'd recommend sticking to the classics. 2/5 for the food, 4/5 for the ambiance/service.

This one pound mozzarella stick definitely fulfilled that criteria. It was so gigantic it was almost like getting a workout in just to lift it. The outside was heavily breaded with bread crumbs and the top was sprinkled with parmesan cheese and chopped scallions. Even the dipping cup was supersized to accommodate the diameter of the stick! Typically, I would have posted until after my I finished my oversized food compilation project. However, it's being posted early because The Brookdale is permanently closing its doors. I am truly sad to hear they will no longer be in business, but their three sister restaurants at 1109 Broad Street will still remain open. #thebrookdale #thebigcheese #bloomfieldnj

We walked in and sat at the near-empty bar and were soon greeted by the bartender (woman with long brown hair), who also provided us with menus. After a few minutes, she circled back, and we ordered two glasses of water. Just seconds after ordering the waters, we were asked for ID. Unfortunately, I left my ID in my jacket, which I didn't have with me at the time, so I explained this to the bartender. We were then told that we could not sit and eat without ID (which I have never heard of in any restaurant I've been to... EVER). I left without making a big deal of it since I was hungry from my drive. Stopped here again on Saturday, May 16th, around 9 PM to meet up with friends before leaving Bloomfield for the night. We were told we could sit where we liked and were quickly attended to by one of the servers upon entry. I ordered a water, and my friend ordered the Six Points Burger with fries. This time, we were not carded until we decided to order beer/drinks. Additionally, there was a child in there, no older than 12 years old, eating with a parent/caregiver on this evening- ultimately proving the whole 'you need an ID to eat here' thing false... What can I say about Six Points after these two experiences?... There's a lively crowd in the evening times, and food seems decent, and it's in a prime location on Bloomfield Ave... but it's quite evident that (at least) one of their bartenders is prejudiced and seems to have issues with people of color simply trying to sit and order food. *I called Six Points on May 18th and asked to speak with a manager regarding my experience. I left my number with one of the employees who answered, and he also told me I would receive a call back- sadly, that never happened. To clarify, the employee acknowledged that my experience on April 18 should not have occurred, as I should have been allowed to order food. Lesson learned: Just go to Egans or Just Jakes in Montclair instead of Six Points Pub.

But after I gave it another shot later, I realized they take online orders. The estimated time here does seem to be off though, as I showed up about 5 minutes before the ETA and it was already sitting around being less hot. So maybe estimate picking up even earlier than that. When I came, the place was packed, but it was a game night. The kitchen/pick up area is way in the back, but I will say, their hot pretzel is fantastic. The flavor itself is good and crunchy, but with the cheese sauce, it was truly delectable. It was just pure thick cheddary liquid goodness. It also came with a mustard if you're that sort, but just the combo of pretzel and cheese makes for such a good and quick snack. They also have a trivia night promotion, so I'm interested in checking that out, but for bar food (even to go) is pretty solid.

We ordered a few things. Spicy Tuna Tartare: wasn't spicy, didn't taste fresh which wasn't a deterrent to me as this isn't a seafood restaurant or fine dining. Next time I'd pass on that. Bavarian Pretzel: amazing. Very tasty. Came out nice and hot. That rarebit cheese sauce? Oh honey that can come home with me anytime. Absolutely delicious. And this is coming from someone who hates that fake cheese, cheese whiz type taste. Margherita Pizza: didn't come out hot which is probably why I wasn't a fan of it. It was pretty mediocre for such a basic pizza. And the food didn't come out all together, so not sure why that didn't come out hot. Wings and waffles: Tasty buffalo wings. The waffles actually taste like funnel cake which was a nice surprise. THEN. The burger came out and that is why this review dropped. It had a small hair on the side of the plate and a closer look at the rest of the plate, you'll see a long hair on the pickle. That was disappointing but happy to have tried the place nonetheless.
