Happy hour from 4:30-6:30 half price drinks and appetizers
    April L.

Stopped in with some friends for happy hour drinks and appetizers. It's a nice place located in the Calandra plaza next to the bakery. Great deal for happy hour drinks and appetizers are half off from 4:30 to 6:30. The house Calandra wines are pretty decent. I tried both the Pinot Grigio and the Calandra Pinot Noir. We were all pretty hungry and decided to order a few appetizers. The calamari was delicious. It was cooked perfectly and was so tender. The marinara dipping sauce was flavorful too. We also tried the shrimp scampi which was underwhelming. The shrimp were tiny and tasted like they were frozen. I was expecting this dish to haVe larger fresh shrimp. They also had a slight ammonia taste. The flavor of the garlic oil was good and it came with garlic toast. We also tried the Bar salad. It had dried cranberries, almonds and Gorgonzola cheese all the ingredients I love in a salad. It was set over fields greens and drizzled with a balsamic vinegar. It was good but not the best salad I've ever had. Loved the complimentary homemade twist bread with fresh Parmesan and olive oil. It's freshly made in their bakery and it's amazing! The service was good and it's a nice place to sit and have a cocktail. They also have a bakery next door. You can take home some fresh bread and Italian pastries. I did take home a few canoli's and they were delicious. It was a good experience and I would like to try other items on their menu.

With that being said the service we received here yesterday was outstanding and better than any five star restaurant. I cannot say how wonderful our waiter was.. I can't remember his name because let's face it. I had a few drinks because that's what it's about there. I believe it was. Giancarlo? So the manager if you see this, please let me know if that's correct or not. This kid was incredible. He was helpful without being overbearing. He was great with his beer knowledge, but we really sold me was when there was a table behind us that had a son with special needs at this young man treated that table with kindness and compassion and really we need more of that. To the owner of this business, I know that the wait staff gets a very minimal amount per hour because they depend on tips, but if there's anyway you can raise his base pay, I would love to see that we were only gonna have one drink each, but because of how he treated us we ended up having two for me and three for my husband, that young man is an investment

The place is very cute inside with different seating areas, multiple bars and a closed in outdoor patio with heaters which is where my friends and I partied the night away. We arrived around 10 pm and the place was mostly empty, but as the hours passed, the place got packed! We attended on a Latin night and I actually loved the good mix of music - it was mostly Spanish music, but not all. I really liked how we did not have to pay for bottle service for a table, because most other places require it in order to have a seat or table. The drinks are fairly priced, however, the hookah was a whopping $42. So we opted out of that. Maybe that's how much the price is now but I remember back in the day paying $25 for a hookah. I had a great night out and definitely will return. Thank you for a great night, 46 Lounge!

Being used to places like Illusions at the Sheraton Mahwah as well as the Limelight and Webster Hall, the NYE advertisement made it far larger than it actually is. Paid $100 for open bar and buffet - which is super reasonable but we would have preferred a table but none were available. Getting drinks throughout the night was not a problem - always prompt and friendly. The buffet was actually quite good which included jumbo shrimp, sushi, Spanish food , Italian, and lots of appetizers which were pretty good. In the beginning, we thought it was a bad idea coming as it was quite empty at 8pm. By 10:30, it was quite busy and at 11:30, packed to the limit. They served midnight champagne, party favors, and were quite well staffed. The BIG issues.... It was open bar. So I probably had at least 12-15 drinks. I would be normally plastered for drinking so much (and I don't normally drink very much). I just wanted a slight buzz so that I would enjoy the constant dancing. I always saw them pour at least 1 shot of alcohol per drink. I wasn't even slightly buzzed or drunk for that matter. Leads me to believe they watered down the bottles. I can't prove anything but the fact we drank so much all night with no effects leads me to wonder. Second, with hundreds of people and 1 women's bathroom with 2 stalls, my wife was was holding it in instead of waiting for a 30 minute + line. In the end, we did enjoy the NYE party very much. $100 is pretty reasonable but with alcohol issues, I would skip the place if that is important yo you.

Better late than never with this backdated review--life has just been lifing!…read moreI finally made it to Artemis on July 22nd after fiending to go since January. There's actually a hilarious story behind why I went. I was originally supposed to have a date that night, but let's be real: you'd think a 61-year-old man would know better than to take a 47-year-old woman to Dave & Buster's. I canceled the night before, dolled myself up the day of, and decided to take myself out instead. Best decision ever. The joint is dimly lit. But your eyes wind up adjusting. It's got a great vibe. Definitely excellent for a date night. The bartenders here are absolute rockstars. I started with a Painkiller. Even though it's no longer on the menu, they whipped it up for me anyway--and hey, it definitely relieved my pain, lol! Next, I tried a Corpse Reviver just because it had absinthe in it. It was different, but I really enjoyed it. Naturally, I had to finish with my signature drink, a Cosmopolitan, because I am the Black Carrie Bradshaw of Long Island. And it did not disappoint. The eats: I got the charcuterie board--fancy and bougie, just like me--and wrapped up the night with the brownie à la mode for dessert. Drowning my troubles in sweets is a must when the Long Island dating pool is an absolute wasteland, lmao. Did I want to spend my night around teenagers, kids, and skee-ball? HELL NO! I wanted a grown-and-sexy speakeasy vibe, and Artemis delivered. 5/5 stars--would 100% recommend!
