From what I can gather, Kem CoBa specializes in specialty ice cream and sorbet flavors, though they also have a small selection of pastries as well. Specifically, they have unique flavor combinations that I had not seen elsewhere. We did not get to choose our flavor during our visit, which was okay as we got one that was quite tasty: raspberry lychee swirled with rose. I was a little hesitant about the rose at first but it wasn't overly floral and paired well with the sweetness of the raspberry. The ice cream was soft serve, and was super smooth. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with Kem CoBa. The ice cream was smooth and tasty, and the offer a product that is not typically seen in other ice cream parlors. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

We first got a double scoop of the Orange and Arctic Fire Sorbets. I'm not usually one to get orange-flavoured desserts/drinks since I can easily get some old-fashioned OJ, but this Orange Sorbet was absolutely divine on the hot day. Sweet and tangy, yet not overpowering. The Arctic Fire was an interestingly sweet with a floral tone - I wish I remembered the main ingredient, but I was too busy indulging in my ice-cream/sorbet addiction. The sorbets were incredibly good. After we devoured them, we went back in immediately to try more flavours. My friend and I ultimately decided on the Mango and Passion Fruit Sorbets, both representing tangy fruits that we enjoy and love. The owner highly recommended the Cantaloupe to help us cool off, and proceeded to give us a free scoop on top of our packed cup! We were so appreciative of the free scoop, and I'm glad we got to try it out! It was my favourite flavour - it genuinely tasted straight like the fruit, just an ice-y form. My friend's favourite was the Orange. If you're in the Mont-Royal area, make sure to give this place a try! It is entirely staffed by students and is even open in summer when there are fewer people on campus. They serve mostly Nestle ice cream but sometimes they have some flavours from Ripples. The main appeal of Frostbite is the low prices. They are famous for Toonie Tuesdays where you can get a medium ice cream for only $2 as opposed to the usual price which is about $1 higher. I can't remember the exact amount. If you bring your own mug you will pay $1.25 a scoop and usually the staff are very generous with their scoops. Their other claim to fame is the offer of a free ice cream if you fail an exam with a score of less than 30%. This place is pretty sweet (no pun intended) and you should definitely pay it a visit when you get the chance.

Pints are available for $15.00 (500mL). - Bleuet sauvage du QC/yuzu ($6.00) - this was their only sorbet option. The yuzu was surprisingly prominent and paired perfectly with the wild Quebec blueberries. Texture was fantastic. Card payment only. I'd come back to SWIRL to try their other twist flavours.
