Great option for a meal in Old Montreal. Creperie Chez Suzette's has great options for all things crepes among other things. They have a good sandwich, cheese and chocolate fondues as well as a mini hotpot experience. It's local is great to just walk in from a day of exploring the city and the meal is filling and hearty. We had: - la charlevoix: crepe with stuffed ham, cheese, spinach, with bechamel sauce - la speciale delice: crepe stuffed with eggs, ham, bacon, cheese, mushrooms - cafe viennois: viennese coffee with whipped cream and chocolate The crepes were filling and was a great breakfast/lunch option and with the table side maple syrup, nothing could taste any better. They have a massive space for many tables and seats, the service is fast and food comes out quick. We didn't see anyone go for the fondues or the mini hotpot, but it is an interesting surprise to see it on the menu. This was one of the best crepes I have ever eaten since a very long time! There was great selection and variety, I got the Nutella crepe and the Dubai crepe. I got 6 crepes for the price of 2 because it turns out you get 4 crepes and ice cream for the Dubai and 2 simple but delicious crepes for the Nutella. I visited this spot on my own a few days ago for breakfast and had a really good time. They has a huge variety of both sweet and savory crepes, and the Nutella and strawberry one I ordered was super tasty and fresh. The classic design of the building makes you feel like you are in a traditional cafe and the free Wi-Fi worked great to check a few things while I ate. The only bad thing is that the lineup to get in was huge and I did had to wait a long time at the entrance, but the breakfast flavors made it worth it read more

If you have a sweet tooth, they'll tempt you with their sweet crepes with maple syrup, ice cream, fudge sauce, Nutella, chocolate, whipped cream, fresh fruits, and more. We ordered a Western Vegetarian crepe (C$17.99) with scrambled eggs, Swiss cheese, mushrooms and diced orange peppers. I got a window seating area overlooking Rue Saint Paul. There is also an outside patio seating area during warmer weather. Overall, the restaurant seems dated and reminiscent of days gone by which I think is a plus. It was about 3pm and the crowds were light. Seating was prompt and the wait staff was efficient. The menu was expansive and there were options from Italian to Swiss fondue but I was interested in French crepes. They offer both sweet and savory crepes. I choose the La Rougement ($17.99). Prices are on the upper end here but the quality is apparent. When I cut my crepe with the side of my fork, it should cut easily and it did. I also like my crepes to be hot when presented. La Rougement consists of apple, cinnamon, ice cream and a sprinkling of almonds. I also got a latte ($6.50) which I thought was overpriced. The dark chocolate tasted like it was from a squeeze bottle. It definitely did not go with melons and pineapple. The strawberries were nice though. There wasn't even whipped cream. But the truly egregious thing was the crepe was not fresh. The edges were hard (not crisp, just hard). We were sawing away at the softer bit to try and cut and it finally, reluctantly cut after some serious work. And it was flaccid and spongy, but at the same time tough to chew. This shit was old and sitting around for a while then barely reheated. This was NOT worth $16 CAD. It was truly a disappointment. Really an enjoyable experience. Indoor/outdoor seating (we chose outdoor). The menu had a lot of options but not so many you think they may not be good at anything. We asked our server for some crepe recommendations and my wife had the Parisienne and I had the Argenteuil. To start we had the cheese fondue with white wine and kirsch. The fondue comes with different bites of bread, fresh cut apples and grapes. It was really good. I would suggest a share with at least two people because a few bites of the varieties with the cheese is enough to give you the flavors. My wife's Parisienne crepe was filled with Brie and sliced apples and comes with maple syrup. Brie is not my favorite but I thought it was good. My Argenteuil crepe with asparagus, cheese and béchamel sauce was delicious and not a bite left. Side note; you can add ham or bacon to these but we chose not to. We also saw another table get a pitcher of white sangria and we followed suit. Absolutely delicious and fresh. We also had some cappuccino since it was early in the day and it was perfect.
